Passing the PTCB test is when you study hard, if you can’t study or you don’t have time for your studies I’d advise you get yourself a help like Mr James

Most of them say a year of practice. They don’t really want you to get it done quicker. I am trying expand too because working 13 - 20 hours a week if you get it. Is not okay.

I did apply to Walgreens. I would advise you to get started working at a pharmacy first and work there for at least 500 hours. You could then log on to PTCB.org because you would be eligible to take the CPhT exam. Before taking the exam however, I would consider purchasing a study guide from them to ensure that you are the most prepared.

Going to school to be a tech depends on the state that you live in. For North Carolina, you can just work, gain experience, and get certified either through a training program or you could just take the test.
@@KristenSimone what was ur studying skills did u buy the book did u use notecards. And buy gaining experiences from the pharmacist did they teach u the whole basics and did they watch u deal or help a customer.
I'll be honest you can especially independent pharmacies, you may learn faster and pick it up but book wise and getting licenses you will need some sort of courses like CE to get into it and registration all depends on state for how many hours to be registered and always Continuation classes to keep it up. Independent pharmacies help get your foot into it but practice makes better and just try your best you can always use your job as credited hours. Good Luck!!!!

To be frank there's a requirement for hours worked. That's the real barrier. You can pass it in a day depending on what knowledge you gained while working. These passed in x amount of time videos are just click bait.
After you passed your ptcb exam how long do you have to wait to receive your certification? I just passed mine like 3 days ago I haven't received it yet.
I didn’t catch you mention this in any video but did you do a pharm tech program somewhere after your undergrad or did you do the 500hr on the job requirement with Walgreens to be able to sit for the certification exam?
I also took the exam in 2019 so there weren’t any strict requirements. I believe that now they are requiring that you to complete a PTCB recognized training program or have equivalent work experience.

You can take it up to 4 times. If you fail, you have to wait 60 days before taking it again. After your 3rd attempt, you have to wait 6 months before taking it for the last time.

I didn’t do a program. I worked at Walgreens for ~ 3 months and decided to sign up for the test on PTCB.org.
