- Hello friends, and welcome back on my channel, in this video will make all the components for a V6 Car Engine and then will assembly all of them and will syncronize the belt wheels with the shafts.

Just my suggestion. You should divide this video into shorter videos, each video will demonstrate the creation of a part of the engine. Then combine all of them into the one single playlist.
BTW, I love your tutorials. Very detailed and clear. Learn a lot from your videos.

Unable to create contour geometry, please check the loft section.
This shows while patterning , in cylinder head 1:23:12
Activate geometry pattern
convert the circular edge to a circle in 2 different sketches (1 sketch for each circle) then do loft cut and instead of selecting the edge, select the converted sketch, then you'll get an option for open loop or closed loop, select closed loop. Then you'll be able to pattern your loft cut......activating geometry pattern didn't work for me but this method did

Make you you have activate the "Geometry pattern" in the linear pattern settings. It's under options.

Thank you alex for the video, it was really helpful :). I just have a problem with inserting bolts that connects the camshaft retainer and the cylinder head, do you know which exact bolt to use ?
You're welcome, I don't remember exactly what bolts you should use
Crankshaft rotates when only a single piston mate with but does not rotate after the 2 and more piston mates.

my crank shaft does not move after i apply the cilinder head, how do i fix it? the pistons are all flexible

The new solidworks 2021 is causing an issue with using the Rib feature. Keeps asking for part to do Rib on but nothing works.....

How do you find the measurements for the components of the engine
Hi, quick question on the assembly. At 3:29:12, I followed your step to make the piston assembly flexible, but when I tried to rotate the crank shaft it says that the component is fulled defined and therefore cannot be moved. Any idea?
I too face the same problem. I then had to manually import part and done the mates 1 by 1.
Why my right plane or front plane from my motor block is not with that angle, it’s rect, it doesn’t work when I try to apply the coincide

i m having a problem is exhaust mainfold sir . pls help . the bottom part and the part that connects the cylinder to the exhaust isn't been placed correctly in the gaps sir . pls help
The Manifold Intake is not joined correctly, it seems, between the central Extrude/Boss and around the pipes
Hello! thnak you for your videos! Are the hoses hollow or not? On your video it looks like it ishollow. In my case it is not hollow. how can i fix this?
hello, yes they are hollow, if in your case are not hollow, I think you didn't follow the video carefully, at both ends of the spline, you must have a sketch with 2 circles 1 for the inner diameter of the hose and 1 for the outer diameter of the hose, and this way you will have your hoses hollow.
hey alex, I encountered a problem during lower block assembly where when I try to rotate the crankshaft the whole engine block rotates too!! How can I fix this?
Try to add another mate to fix it, or just right click on it and select "Fix"

Sir, it's 32:03, the counterbore of mine is too small but I did the same settings you did but the output is too small.
May I ask if what unit you are using sir?

while applying the mates between rocker arm and spring after first one done correctly, it shows error, sometimes overdefined sometime error related to limit distance mate between spring and cylinder head

If you will go to - Mate - mechanical mate - you should find there "Cam" , everything is explained in the video
@29.45 why is it 19.5 it should be 19.05 right?
I think the mistake is in the drawing there, but if you compare it to the part before, to the arm, you will see that 19.5 is the right dimension, try to pay attention and at the parts before and you will find the right dimensions, good luck.

Iam also having these problem. There is another option "selected object" . How to solve it
This is unbelievable unrealistic! I wonder if any of these so-called ‘SolidWorks engineers’ have any real knowledge or that they just copy this type of assemblies from each other. They all use the same dimensions for the part and none of them have the actual drive belt construction that moves the valves. Was that part too hard?
And if I put the belt will be more realistic?
With this kind of videos I show you how to USE SolidWorks, I am NOT showing you how to make a real engine here, if you have all the dimensions for a real engine, you can follow this video to help you to modelate it in SolidWorks, and that's it.
@@AlexsEngineering I must have struck a nerve. Sorry for that. It would be more realistic if the cam shafts were connected to the belt wheels which are now just floating around. I have seen at least 4 RUclips channels which are just copying from each other using the exact same model. In my opinion no original designing has been done. Why is no one making that extra effort?
