Sounds real and has a late-90's to mid-2000's vibe which is fantastic. In modern metal tracks it'd work best when blended with another kit, but that huge boom and crack you got out of it is what it really sounds like when you're jamming in the same room with a live drummer which is pretty awesome.
Dude I hate modern metal drums. I’m an old guy now so I’m biased but the fuckin drums all sound the same and over fuckin produced.
@@MrOuija-rr8kq That's not even because you're an old guy though you've just got good taste! Modern metal drums *are* overproduced and also turned up way too loud in most mixes.

Great demo man cheers for this one. Unbelievable how fully featured the plugin is. Ik do a good job of offering the chance to just buy what you want/need for their software rather than forcing people to buy the full versions.

The full version could give option paralysis. Sounds pretty damn good.

Yeah I was waiting for you to release this, I've been playing around with it and the GUI is fantastic! This has everything you'd need in one plugin and is easy to use without Kontakt. I still find it a bit hard to dial it in for heavy stuff but I wish GGD would do a GUI like this.
Yeah dude it has everything. How in depth it is won't suit everyone. I would like to try the metal kit.
You got a very nice drum tone, love the riffs also! I'll stick with SD3 or Ugritone Drums but hey, for a free drumkit you'll get some good sounds and it's not on Kontakt which is definitely a plus. The customisation options are a nice add too.

@@resington Haha, understood, i recall your aversion to IK-Amps from years past. Back then, i saw reviews that didn't compare IK stuff favourably to other free amps, & i just wanted to know if they have improved now, in the opinion of an expert (you!😁).

Yeah, I just heard this plugin by accident on another channel like 2 days ago :D I think it's easily the best sounding and most realest free kit available! But I heard the download is like 2gb, so... ha.
Your mix in the song is way too boomy, man :D There's like too much bass, which is a sentence I haven't used in probably many years! 😁🙈 But I just took a re-listen and I can't actually hear the bass guitar pretty much at all! 😱 It sounds like it's "perfectly" melded into the kick drum thus forming bass notes called boom. I can only guess that maybe the bass guitar and kick drum use the exact same frequency thus the bass guitar just disappears in the mix completely OR because the drum kit is unexpectedly beefier than ur previous kits ur normal mixing/mastering process ended up producing too much bass thus forming booming low-end. Gotta take control of that low-end and this will slay!

@@resington Yeah, yeah man! Like I said, the kit itself sounds fantastic! And I do love the dynamics and the deepness in the mix. It's just that the low-end is boomy and loose. Separating the bass guitar and kick drum is the main solution 👍

@@resington Hey how do you keep the hi hat open? For some reason the MIDI mapping is set too close it stays open using their midi drum files but when using the ezdrummer midi Window files the Hi hat stays closed for some reason
My free version after a week stared to add noise to the sound. Become unusable. Does anyone have similar noise every few seconds?
This kit? I've not used it since. IK are known to have things free for a limited time, maybe they changed things.
I have a little problem with this. It does like a static sound every few seconds.
They may have made it a demo and not completely free anymore, better off trying ML Drums Free tbh.
everythings workable except the snare. its like the drummer didn't know hes allowed to actually hit it hard. 127 velocity sounds like 70 on most other kits. its so wierd.
