Thanks for watching! - Видеоклипы
Just few hours ago I was struggling to find a bass tone for a demo song of my band. You're easily my favourite person on RUclips!
Always appreciated man!
this guy should have his own band
This is really helpful and important to understand if you're just starting out and wondering why all these demos sound so huge while you struggle with low end. Bass matters!
Thanks man and well said. I started on bass so I do enjoy dialing it all in as much I guitar.
Perfect bass tone in the mix! Nicely done.
You are the real MVP i was doing the same thing, i thinked that i was lazy for keep my chain and workflow as simple as possible, but now i see that it works fine.🎸🎸 Keep rocking!
I love doing it this way, though I picked up a Parralax and have really enjoyed using it lately. I love fiddling with three spectrums of noise to come up with my bass sound. Good stuff as always, brother!
Great video, that’s what I just started doing is two bass tracks, one low one high, makes a huge difference.
Excellent stuff man! I've saved this video for when I eventually get a bass 🤘
That's cool! I was doing it a bit differently. Usually, I was spliting my bass into one track for the lower parts and another one for the mids and highs. I'll try your way. Cheers, man!
Groovy and punchy bass tone. Good balanced in a mix.
Listen to first 10 seconds, subscribed. Meaty AF
Awesome as always. Lately I've been using a single track and something like Parallax or Klank with the mix down to blend some dry in, but there's no denying the power of the dual track method. 🍻
Mid-scooped guitar pedal plugins, like DS-1 or Metal Zone or HM-2 clones, also work pretty good.
Man that sounds Big!
Thanks dude!
very nice 🤘
Yup for free I pretty much do the same with great results. For paid stuff for real bass DI, I usually run 1 track with either ndsp parallax, darkglass ultra, nembrini black Ice, or brainworx Ampeg svt3 pro.
If I am using a midi bass track, I will usually use djinnbass, eurobass 2, or punk bass alone or i will just use the DI tone of those above submission audio amps in which the amp is bypass. I will then run that signal in NDSP parallax. None the less all of these methods will get you a killer bass tone.
Awesome! I haven't got a real bass guitar, so I'll give this a try with Kraken Hybrid bass 😀
awesome ! thumbs up
Thanks man
🤩
nice video
Cheers much appreciated dude.
Danggg
It's funny because it makes a huge difference, I used to record 3 guitars, nowadays I prefer a dirty bass blended with a more clean tone.
Need yearly maintainence tips/advice for my guitars. Usually I do the following to maintain/keep my guitars in good playing/looking position
-Change strings every 2 months
-Wash hands before and after playing
-Wipe down the guitar with a microfibre cloth
-Keep guitar in the hardshell case
-adjust truss rod when neck moves during the seasons change
I usually don't go crazy with oils/polish etc.
What do you do to maintain and keep your guitars in good condition? what about the neck/fingerboard-especially for maple/rosewood fb?
advice and suggestions appreciated.
Pretty much make sure your hands are clean before playing. Wipe the strings down. That's about it. If you live in a desert area... Definitely use lemon oil on th fretboard if it's rosewood.
high passing at 140 is pretty high, I usually don't go much above 100hz. I tone matched a guitar clip from Periphery's newest album and I only high passed up to 77hz. I suppose it depends what you're working with, but I haven't found myself high passing that much.
Great vid! subbed!
You don't bother using bus track at all? no need?
Cheers much appreciated man and no need to bus really.
Now the latest REAPER version is 7.001 and come with new useful features, one of them is container fx which can do parallel processing.
I think this technique (dual bass track with same audio source) can be achieved with parallel container fx processing. So we don't need 2 tracks anymore. Only 1 bass track.
How do you think about this?
Maybe you can do a demonstration video about this.
Never tried I'll have a go at least
It is fucking criminal that you don't have more subs. Have mine. This was a huge "hack" for me.
Cheers!
Holy crap those guitars are high passed damn high! Damn, I thought 80hz was a lot lol
150 is probably a little too high but still works.
@@resington I think I’ve been trying to get my guitars to take most of low end. Cause I just can never seem to get that thunder bass you have lol. But I just got a fender bass, so we will see! Also just bought perfect drums!
@@robloyst4514 if you use this chain it should be as thunderous haha.
can I have the fx chain
Wouldn't it just be easier to click "duplicate track" then you dont have to worry about wave alignment and all you'd have to do is change the effects on it ? Just trying to help.
Alignment is super easy with the gird.
I dont have an actual bass guitar. I have plugins only. How can i emulate the sound of hammer ons and pulloffs ? Im using reaper btw. Thanks!
No idea man sorry. Buy a bass ASAP 👍
Sounds sweet thanks for the tips! Can ya help me with a mix? I'm poor though🙂
Cheers, message me on insta if you can.
@@resington I just do Facebook 😭
I don't know why I can't find the BOD in Reaper
Bod is by tse audio. Not a stock reaper plugin.
@@resington Yes, I have the vst downloaded. I did not explain myself well, I was not specific, let me explain a little better to see if the translator does its job well, I always use the BOD for the bass in Cubase but I just changed to Reaper ago a few weeks because I liked it a lot, especially because of your videos, but despite not having problems with any vst, I don't know why the BOD doesn't appear, I downloaded it again and reinstalled it from 32, 64
and I don't know why I don't have it in Reaper, in Cubase I don't have that problem and I use it but I want to continue using Reaper. Would you have no idea why this happens?
Where do u usually hp with drop c guitars..110hz?
Around there yeah.
@@resington whats your top 3 amp sims right now
Ok, so you did not really record a second track ... But did you pan one bass track to the left and the other to the right?
Same performance copied and pasted below. Both panned up the centre.
