    I was expecting to see something crazy and find out the reason why my mixes dont sound this great, looks to me as if just a few quality tweaks instead of too much stuff does the trick. I love it I wish so hard this would be done in cubase, but I downloaded it anyways and I'll try to analize it to learn. So thanks and by the way I think the music is very good too and I don't say that often loved the singing bit .. no tuning ?! well lucky you ! nice one and thanks!

    Good video with the exception of your A/B technique. You always stop the transport and talk between the engaged and bypassed states of a plugin. A/B comparisons are much more effective when you loop a section and bypass/engage without talking. We can all see your mouse cursor. If you want to set it up for the viewers then you can simply tell us you're going to A/B a plugin engaged and bypassed.

I know its something I should have to do myself but really clueless around this ! Also, if I wanted to add one or two more lead tracks without over doing it in the mix? Would it be a case of simply lowering the volumes of the extra lead tracks? 🙏

    Awesome video!
    I'm interested though, if you're doing more of a deathmetal vibe and using more high and low screams
    Specifically where there's a difference in volume between the screams (my Mids and highs are very loud, but the lows are a little quieter)
    How do we deal with that?

    • @resington
      @resington  9 месяцев назад

      Hey man I hear ya! I tend to tackle that at the source. Moving the mic until it hits right. Highs, I'm moving the mic further away or slightly to the side. Lows I'm closer. When I doubt though automate or adjust clip volumes.

    • @kayd_terroraze
      @kayd_terroraze 9 месяцев назад

      @@resington ah I see. I was doing a live one take, but honestly the compressor sorted it out pretty perfectly.
      Now my Mids a highs cut through great and the lows are basically the same volume but kinda blend a little more

    Hey Resington.. Love this template for easy mixes! I changed out the perfect drums with Ingram Audio Daddy kit and I love it, but I have an issue:
    The mastering is 0,1 from peaking, and it sounds to me on different speakers that it's clipping and the wave forms on the master is really ''even out'' 0,1 to peak through the whole song.. (Like really compressed)
    Do you have any tips for a way too compressed 0,1 master? If that makes sense

      I would set the ceiling lower at maybe. - 1.0. Keep an eye on that reduction whatever u put through it.

      @@HenrikLien Ceiling is the level at which the limiter will not let audio past. The audio going into will not go beyond that setting. It might be called something else.

    Question: what midi pack did you use for the drums? Or did you program it yourself? I have the metal song midi pack from Xln audio but when I use the samples with perefect drums they sound weak and small and increasing velocity does make up for it compared to your midi pack ? Thx

    Hi mate ,first off this is great ....i have a question, which tracks should i have stereo and which mono? It looks like your guitars are stereo here ....ive been recording for a while and im struggling with getting this sort of loud in your face sound , any help would be much appreciated, getting abit frustrated to be honest.cheers.

    • @resington
      @resington  Год назад +1

      Cheers! Drums are stereo. That's default with most drum plugins. Everything else is mono. Panned left right, left or centre. The guitar bus track is stereo though to allow both panned guitar to not sum to mono. Same deal with the vocal bus. All the master track plugins are stereo and that's default I think with most of those.
