The 80s and 90s were amazing for music. We old GenXers had the Big Four that led to great stuff like Testament and Sepultura after a while. Then the Tampa scene broke out into chaos where I ended up being a huge Coroner fan. Good times! This break down is really awesome as it shows the details in what you did. One of these days we're gonna need a two hour Resington documentary to get the behind the scenes stuff. LoL! Amazing tune, great demo and explanation, thanks for the good stuff again! 👑🎸🔥
YOU CANT SAY "DE,TME,AL " that way and not mention NAPALM DEATH and thyR scoopnessness 😤 😂 GREAT VIDEO my bro. Nice and easy for us all and YES SCOOOOOP IT :) iv played with all these bands Suffoction , LeschNyhan ,Deicide ect... 1 Love.
When you are tracking your guitars, where is your input coming into your interface? Are you boosting level on the interface itself? Or do you have it dialed to zero and then compensating with the input adjustments in the amp sim plug-ins?
Great stuff as per usual man. Always enjoy watching you break down a mix. I gotta give the tyrant screamer another shot, been mostly in Boss sd1 and Greed Smasher land haha. cheers
hi mate, what guitar interface do you use? and do you use a DI box? What's your full chain? Thanks, Conor - keep up the great work man, your channel is like a bible for people like me who do home recording on the cheap! (where possible)
@@resington thank you mate. Got it! Quick question, how do you use your tone knobs on your guitar? Is the selector always on bridge pickup and tone knobs always at its most 'treble' setting? Do you often switch around with this depending on lead or rhythm or always in a certain state? Thanks again...
I like your songs and mixes, but my only gripe is that you cut away too much lows and highs from the guitar. So when they play alone they sound very thin / flat. Have you tried just finding a good guitar tone without EQ'ing it and then create the entire mix around it? So you mold the drums and bass to fit it?
Thanks man. Everything works together and EQing the guitars the way I do is pretty essential for the mix sound decent. This tone here is especially niche and kind of a bad example of that haha. The guitars in solo is not how the music is supposed to be heard. Leaving the guitars raw, I've never found a mixable tone from that.
Finally! This is so refreshing to hear nonmodern boring chuggy tone!
This is so good. Good job!
Just goes to show everyone that you don't need the most expensive stuff to sound good. Always good stuff Res
Awesome tune and breakdown of the mixing. Sounds heavy and brutal. I’m definitely hearing some Morbid Angel influence in here. Thanks man!
Kickass mix dude!
Cheers Arav!
I like Death Metal, sounds sick mate, cheers! 🤘🎸

I have it on line level about half way on the dial. Noon basically. Depends on your pickups. Just get as much level in as possible before it clips.
Thanks for all the tips, very interesting and useful!
thanks this was very helpful
Thank you

Great video
Thanks!
Really cool vid! Thanks! You didn't seem to pan the double tracked vocals. Do you never do that or do you pan it depending on the song?
I do when I'm going for more size or a gang vocal.
This mix is great! Could put up a reaper mix template to download? Keep up the great work my friend 👍
Thanks man, no template sorry.
Super Resington!! Can you share this template with us?😁
I'll see what I can do👍cheers
Hi do you have the reaper template for this ?
No sorry.
