Tony & Chelsea Northrup For same price (england) would I get better image quality, sharper for landscape using nikon d5300 without aa with sigma 18-35 TAMRON 70-200 f2.8 or nikon d610 with AA and tamron 24-70 f2.8 and tamron 70-200 f2.8 I can get these for the same price £1300 used. I know you are the man that can help me with this I have the olympus em10 ii with kit lenses but I run into trouble with low light and it drives me mad so I will use the mft for travel and want something with better iq for landscape and maybe start to get into portrait photography

Cannot wait for this years version of this. So many things happened this year. Not sure why I even watched it when I have no money, but still fun to look at the combinations that you think makes the most sense for a long list of prices.
I went for the Lumix GX-1 body for $96 on eBay. It had only 1600 shutter cycles. A pretty decent bargain IMHO. Having a blast combining this mirrorless body with dirt cheap legacy glass, also purchased on eBay. A nice little set-up for portraits. Some of my deals for legacy glass on eBay: - Nikon Nikkor S 50mm; Nikon F mount; f:1.4; 52mm filter size. Purchased with Nikomat FT N vintage showroom mint $41.00 + $10.00 (shipping). Came with a black leather case that had no signs of use whatsoever. - Konica Hexanon 40mm Pancake; AR mount; f:1.8; 55mm filter size. $23.50 + $5.75 (shipping) - Asahi Optical Pentax Super-Takumar 50mm; M42 mount; f:1.4; 49mm filter size. Purchased with vintage Spotmatic $69.99 + $14.22 shipping - Jupiter-9 avtomat 85mm; f:2.0; 49mm filter size. $19.50+$15.00(shipping) - Canon 50mm (Chrome lip); BL FD mount; f:1.4; 55mm filter size. $25.00 incl. shipping ...and about 14 other lenses (e.g.: Helios 44-2, Canon FD 135/2.5, Vivitar 75-205, OLY 28/2.8...). Most have arrived as expected, with excellent optics. Some required cleaning...but for the most part...with one exception...they are in VG to mint condition!!! Plus extension tubes, focal reducer, and a number of adapters! Sure, I have a Panny lens for daily/nigh-time on the go use, where OIS is a big help. But for portrait and landscape stuff...with a tripod...these legacy lenses are a hoot. I suppose I will try all and keep those I like the best...flipping the rest without any loss.
Tony, I think your videos are the most enlightening, and I enjoy watching them very much. Keep on doing what you have been doing with the beautiful Chelsea.......Thanks again, Mike
If you like Nikon and want to do wildlife, the D7200 + 200-500mm + TC14Eiii is a great value in its price range too. Slower burst speed than the 7Dmk2 setup, but way better reach (420-1050mm FF equivalent) and nice image quality to boot.
thanks for pointing me to this video... I'm thinking that I will recommend the Pentax K-s2 to my friend, the kit with the 18-135mm lens looks like the most awesome "entry level" DSLR setup... if she can't swing or justify the price, I'm thinking of recommending other K-S2 kits, the K-50(which I have) and the Nikon D3300... other than DSLRs I'm thinking Panasonic Lumix lineup looks nice, the bridge cameras with the f/2.8 lenses mainly. Also looking into smaller and cheaper options with fast lenses and decent zoom range. Thanks again for the input! Loving your channel and book! Keep shining folks!
Hey Tony, recent viewer been making my way through the majority of your videos for the last 9 months or so. Love the videos on OIQ and in general I love the technical component and how well you work it into your videos. I have learned a lot through your videos and have definitely become a better photographer as a result. That being said... I was confused as to why you gave Fujifilm absolutely 0 love on this video. Seriously 0 love.... How is that even possible???? I personally have been shooting for just over a year so I am fairly inexperienced, but I have taken a lot of time to become well informed. I started on an eos m, moved to an a6000 and have settled comfortably in the Fuji family. The advantages presented from the Fuji system are amazing. The beautiful rendition of jpegs out of camera is something none of the cameras you mentioned can do half as well as the fuji systems can. And for those who may not want to slide every photo they take through lightroom it's really a huge benefit. One specific example I want to bring up is the T6i with a nifty fifty for portraits. You claimed the body is $850 used, plus the lens for $110 brings the grand total to just about $1k. I also would like to mention that a huge majority of the money being spent on a camera body which will lose value much much faster than a lens would. Alternatively you could have recommended the Fujifilm X-E1system for about $400 used, and the 56mm f1.2 for about $650 used that takes portraits LIGHTYEARS better than the T6i with the nifty-fifty. Also the majority of money being is spent on a lens rather than the body means an overall smarter long term investment. If you wanted to go even cheaper still!! You could suggest the X-M1 for about $250 used and at this point you are paying even less for a camera that will blow the doors off the canon system you mentioned, for portraits, and STILL BE CHEAPER. So saying that the T6i is the lowest possible value for "serious" portraits is a bit absurd really when you could have recommended a system that takes better portraits for less money while making a more sound investment. To be honest I would love to hear your thoughts on why Fuji systems were omitted from this video, as someone who just found out what they really enjoy shooting with and who isn't far removed from being in a place where videos like this made a huge impact on where I chose to spend my money I can't help but wonder why there isn't a single spot on this video for Fuji system cameras? Thanks Tony and Chelsea, love the video and I will continue to support!
also tony, the tokina 100mm 2.8 mounted on anything especially the D 7200 and wow on the D810, an d810, a tokina 100 2.8 and a sigma 24-105mm f4 is a kit that cant be beat.
Hey Tony & Chelsea, great in depth video on what cameras/lenses to get for various uses. I have a question. I am pretty torn and downright lost on what camera SYSTEM to jump into. I have two distinctive needs in a camera system. First theres the system I need in a professional setting (one that would play a large role in my livelihood). Then there's the system I need for more creative and enthusiast driven endeavors. SYSTEM ONE (for work) I need for photographing products (foodstuff, furniture, appliances, sculpture, Etc.) in a studio, and for making large prints of those images for stuff like catalogs, look books, and other marketing materials. Ideally, this setup should also be capable landscapes system. High megapixels and the availability of tilt+Shift lenses is a must. SYSTEM TWO (Travel/ Adventure) I need for travel. Since I might still use this travel photography for some more serious editorial work, I would still need professional level capabilities. This system would be for traveling all over (motorized transportation as well as on foot and vertical travel). As such,I really want a workhorse camera that is light and mobile; with some fast primes to go along with it. A great autofocus system, and good low light capabilities would be pretty important; and I would use this system in two situations: navigating around cities shooting stuff like people, cityscapes, and food; or while hiking, climbing, and kayaking in some pretty remote parts of the world- stopping along the way to photograph athletes in action, interesting locals, and wildlife. I am by no means a pro level photographer (as of yet), and am aware that gear does t make a bad amateur any better. However, I am in a point in my life where I have the time, financial Resources, drive, and intuition to really get into serious photography. As such, I really want a system that o can grow quickly into. Budget wise, I'm looking to spend $12,000 US or [ideally] less. I would be of great help if you gave me some suggestions. Thanks
All your information is a great help. Even after watching the same video more than once. :-) All that you and Chelsea do is appreciated. Please keep up the good and informative work.
Hey Tony, I love to support your channel an easier way to get myself and others to visit the links your showing is to list them on the description this makes it easier to click the link and you guys get paid :)
Ahh it's back yay! so I'll ask again, why the Nikon D4S over the Canon 1DX for sports? I assumed the 1DX would be the better choice with the faster FPS and better AF tracking modes? as well as the better sport tele lenses like the 200-400 f4 and and 400 2.8?
Wow, that's a lot of info! Great job "Team Tony". Your extensive breakdown should help many in making better decisions on what to buy for Christmas ;) along with any one of your books on how to use them. I am extremely interested in the Sony 28-135mm power zoom and excited to see your review on it. Looks like a good addition for me. Cheers
Your videos have been so useful to me that I had to buy your book "Stunning Digital Photography", I just bought it today, i'll be adding the other ones to my collection as soon I finish this
Hey Tony, love your videos. I'm looking into getting the a7ii for both good video and stills at a cheaper price point than the a7rii. Can you let me know if the a7ii software update made AF capabilities better than previous versions?
Hi Tony, I just made an opined comment on coloring of video presentation and this video is the hue I opine which is the more familiar imo, thanks and regards, Joe
I keep coming back to this video! Such great information even though you do tend to favour Canon more ;) I ended up getting a Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ-300 that I now use for my RUclips videos. Great cam! Thanks for the advice!
Any reason why Samsung NX500 or NX1 didn't make these lists? When you gave your tutorial of the NX1 you seemed pleased with it for sports photography, so no mention of it was surprising.
Hi! I am new to photography and I want to how much photoshop influences in day-to-day photos. So, do the landscape demo photos that you show between 9:12 and 9:42 have some photoshoping on them?
Almost all landscape photos need to be photoshopped, to bring out the details. The huge exposure difference between the sky and the land requires software post processing to bring them closer to how you saw it with your eyes.
Anyone know a good sharp lens for the nikon D5300? Looking to take landscapes, portriats and possibly macro. something versatile to these types of pictures for a good price.
Factory refurbished Canon T5 and SL1s are available at Canon USA eStore for $200 and $250 respectively right now. These would be a better option than the T3 imo. Not sure if they are still available though.
Hi , can i use Sigma 24-105mm for Canon T6s ? thank you if you help me , i have a Sigma 18-35mm & Sigma 10-20mm i want add lense for telephoto shot . Thanks
Ah, the poor forgotten Pentax ;) I'm looking at getting the K-S2 early next year. I already have some old A type lenses from my K-1000 days and it seems like a good serviceable camera at a reasonable price.
+The Hazcat BTW Tony, I watched your excellent basic tutorial on the K-S2 and that seemed to validate my decision. I will also be purchasing your digital photography guide. I have no desire to become a 'pro' photog but I do like to shoot so I might as well learn to do it well so I can get the most out of my photos and enjoy the memories when I review them.
Uh oh. Just bought a Lumix G7 with the 14-140 kit lens but I don't do huge amounts of video. I am mainly photographing wildlife have I made a mistake? A Jessops assistant recommended it for me as a first interchangeable lens camera and someone who has had 3 previous Panasonics. Compared to my previous Panasonic FZ-150 it is great. But have I made a mistake?
I know this is a 2 1/2 y/o video but he recommends a Canon T3 which is cool. I have one, bought it in 2011 and I am happy with it. Yes, I wish I has more megapixels instead of 12.2 but it is a nice camera and I am looking at getting another lens for it. I have the 18-55mm IS kit lens and a Canon 55-250mm IS II zoom lens. Now to decide what lens to get.
Tony, you did a great job of review & recommend the cameras & lenses. I will definitely get the Sony 7R II. I wish Sony add the built-in intervalometer with the firmware.
Hey Tony, I would suggest that you check out a used Panasonic GX80/GX85 in the used under $500 range. It could give the other 2 a run for their money. Cheers.
How does the focusing on the Sony A7R2 with the metabones IV with Canon L lenses compare to using it with the Canon 5D Mark III (or the 5DSR)? I've heard a few people being really happy with the performance of the Sony with the adapter and Canon L glass.
T5 with 18-55 refurb kit is selling for $200, Canon EOS 6D refurb body only for $900 and 5d Mark III for 1899 refurb which is a great value. All on Canon website
what do you think of the Sony rx100 I and the rx 100 ii since those are the ones I can afford? I would like to take good night pictures of cars and nature. I do want to get involved more into photography than just a phone camera. my nexus 6p has a good camera but for those cool night shots its just cutting it.
The Costco by my house is selling both t6 and 70d bundles I know the 70d bundle was around $1300 came with stm efs 18-135 and the stm 55-250 thought that was a steal. Since I bought that stm efs 18-250 for $400 by itself and the camera for and 18-135 for 1500
HI, can someone please help me with their opinion? I´m looking for a beginner camera, easy to use but not so simple either. Cheap, with good resolution and for general photography.
Hi Tony, I opine: with the Sony adapter, I assume the electrics work through because it seems that some of these for other cameras may not? I look forward to hearing from you. thanks and regards, Joe
Good suggestions! I'm still wondering between the D610 and D750, is there really no reason to get the D750 for around $400 more? I'm seeing the D610 for around $1500-1600 Canadian and the D750 for around $2000 and I keep hearing the D750 has much faster focusing.
+iSOBigD Yeah, the D750 is a better camera... you just have to weigh whether the tilt screen and superior focusing system will do more for you than $400 in lenses (or flash, tripod, etc). Whatever is the most bang for your budget!
Hey Tony and Chelsea, i am thinking of buying a Nikon D3300,D3400 or D5300, what kind of lens would you prefer for landscape photography in the budget of 100-250 euros? and why?
What are your thoughts on bridge cameras for everyday use? (rx-10 ii, fz1000) The allure for me is always having a camera on me. Even though they have fixed lenses, they have some zoom and are decent quality. I know the sensors are smaller but isn't an rx-10 sensor better than say a t5i?
+Tony Northrup Hi, I'm planning on upgrading and getting a new camera for wildlife photography. I'm quite new to this field and up until now I had a Lumix fz-200 which gave really nice shots for wildlife - but lot the level I want :). I'm currently trying to decide between the d7200 and the 7d ii. I've watched your videos and I'm a bit confused. Some say that I'd rather go for the d7200 while others the 7d ii (I'm sorry I can't exactly recall which vids - gone through many of them lately). Is that image quality difference where the d7200 is better significant? In addition what lenses would you recommend. As I said at the beginning I never experienced playing with different lenses but I really enjoyed the versatile 25-600mm of the fz-200. I know you said in may videos that the canon 400mm is amazing but I'm not sure I'm ready for a prime lens because I still have a lot to work on my techniques. I was thinking on some sort of 18- +-150 lens and a bigger longer distance one. What do you think.
Thanks for this video. It's good but it's old now. So which camera I should by for Portrait and Fashion Photography between Pentax K1, Sony A7R, Sony A7 ii or Sony A99?
Hi Chelsea and Tony, first of all thank you so much for all of your work on your channel. I'd like to ask you if you could do some kind of review of Sony's SLT cameras. I haven't found any videos here about them, probably because they seem to be underrated by photographer world (probably not without a reason). In my special case I'm thinking about getting one of those because I have serious eye disabilities (I was born with it), and I simply couldn't use the optical viewfinder of any DSLR so far which I tried, because I cannot see the focus points, and using the live view mode is very slow compared to PDAF (I didn't try any really high-end DSLR, but I don't expect too big difference).. So I got interested in SLTs because on those cameras I could use the LCD and still enjoy PDAF. But so far I've read quite contraversial opinions and reviews due to lens availibility, the amount of light loss, and the PDAF performance, and I got confused if I really should go to that direction. On the other hand there are a lot of very good sounding features like in-body stabilization, manual focus peaking, etc. which I couldn't find at any other brand. I would really appreciate if I could see an overview from you about these kind of cameras.
I have a "nifty 50mm" lens and i'm looking for a decent crab claw to scratch the lens up a little. Nothing too expensive just a cheap claw would do. Any suggestions? :) Totally agree on the D5500, i had one and it was mega! Just wish i'd kept it now. For sports (which i predominantly shoot), i'd suggest a 2nd hand 7D and either a Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 or a 2nd hand Canon 70-200mm f2.8 (not the IS version coz you don't need it for sports), a bit cheaper then $2000. I got all my gear, 7D and Canon 70-200mm for £1200 ($1800).
I would like to take up photography as a hobbies and I was looking for a good camera and lens set up for wildlife photos specifically, but my price range max's out at $500, does anyone have a good recommendation, used or new?
+just4all1 Who cares , those are just good suggestions , the 70D is also an amazing camera, im sure Tony would agree on that too .. Its all about what works for you ... My 6D didnt get mentioned either, but that is like my baby - Just get out and shoot ! :)
Hi! you haven't mentioned D750. Would you recommend it over 7D m2 as they both fall in the same price bracket for me. And for 70-200 I currently cant afford the canon IS version so would you recommend the tamron or sigma version?
Pretty nice video :) GH4 is on my list for videos for its affordable price and all its capabilities but i wish i could afford one of these extra-terrestrial a7s2... Thanks for sharing and have a great sunday
what do you think of the Canon 6D, the lowest end full frame Canon body? And what lenses would you pair with it, both on the wide angle zoom and the more versatile zoom (like 24-105)? for photojournalism and all around
I actually bought it, and find paired with the 24-70 it's bulky and more importantly, too heavy. Takes beautiful picts but i'm finding my hand hurting and shoulder hurting too... now looking into the lighter mirrorless... wish he had gone into those (he did a little on the Sony end) and what about Fuji
Hi! I have a Nikon D90 with nikon AF-S 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6 G ED DX VR lens and a Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 APO DG MACRO lens. I watched a used Sigma AF 135-400mm 1:4.5-5.6D APO lens, i want to know is it a good choise? Is a good lens? I used my Sigma only 200mm and under, because after 200mm the pictures very blurred. So the new Sigma with the 400mm would be double focal langht. Thanks Tony or anyone? :)
I want to get a cheap starter camera to fool around with "light painting" photography, with the occassional portraits and macro photography. Would the Sony A6000 suit my needs?
Thank you for this video! It gave me some new perspective! I want to buy a new camera, can you guys help me? Most of the time i will be taking family pictures (low light - indoors, kid's playing, vacation etc... ). I want something small, with easy to use auto settings (so my wife will love it) and something i can play with as advanced amateur. I'm strugglig with my choice between X-T10 16-50mm, OM-D E-M5 MK I 12-50 mm, OM-D E-M10 MK I 14-42 EZ and A6000. For now the E-M5 is my top choice because of it's body build i like the weight, solid constuction and image stabilization, but other options are also tempting. I'm worrying that E-M5 is much older then the others and it's only 4/3. My priority easy to use and good picture in low light. Budget around 700$ P.S. I know i want all in one but your opinion will be helpfull.
Very nice video and lots of good info. Not sure why the Nikon D610 was recommended over D750.. Couple hundred more for a better focusing system and low light performance.
+Franky Vee Yeah, the D750 is better than the D610... but $400 isn't a small jump, and most people will get better results by putting that $400 into an extra lens. But if you have the cash, it's a great upgrade.
+Franky Vee Here in NZ the D610 is $2300, the D750 is $2800, $500difference. I believe it is important to who you recommend a camera. In my case, I’m into people photography and I do about 50% outside and 50% studio. For my work the D610 is fantastic. Maybe for people who shoot a lot of concerts or similar low-light stuff, the additional $500 for the D750 is well spend, I’d rather invest the $500 in other gear. And just to stress that, I have used the D610 with a 24-70 2.8 or 70-200 2.8 (both Tamron) for weddings in near darkness and focusing takes a second, but catches. And yes, there was grain, but usable images with nice ‘atmosphere’. So the focusing system or low light ability of the D610 is by no means “bad”… it’s just not quite as good as the D750.

I've done the opposite, I bought my camera/cameras based on how much I loved the Panasonic Summilux 25mm f1.4 m4/3 lens. I have two Olympus pens because I've been using an Olympus since I was 4 years old. Sadly, Olympus doesn't make strides when updating their Pen line (touch screen focussing is amazing though). Panasonic Lumix cameras get you ton more features for your buck.
Hi Tony, Should the AAF be taken in the decision of buying a new camera? I have the Sony A7 I I but knowing that there is the new A7RII without AAF makes me want to upgrade. cheers RJ
Great video .. What do you think about getting the Sony a5100 with the kit lens do you recommend it?I want a camera with excellent photos and video .. my budget is below 600 USDin case you recommend the Sony camera which lens do you recommend?I really appreciate any help .. Thanks

What about the Sony cybershot rx10?
Any plans for an updated version of your Which Camera video.
It’s refreshing to see a reviewer without noticeable loyalty to a certain brand or system - and an extensive knowledge of gear.

Hey, I like your videos, but you could please start putting things in the description? Having to pause the video and type out the url is kinda silly.
Thank you, Tony. Always stay true to your core beliefs by being honest. Honesty is appreciated more than you know
I went for the Lumix GX-1 body for $96 on eBay. It had only 1600 shutter cycles. A pretty decent bargain IMHO. Having a blast combining this mirrorless body with dirt cheap legacy glass, also purchased on eBay. A nice little set-up for portraits. Some of my deals for legacy glass on eBay:

Please keep up the good and informative work.
best "Which Camera Should You Buy" video!! thanks.
+Sascha It's really a toss-up between the two bodies.
you are the gift that keeps on giving! love you guys!
Hi loved the guide, can you make a video about your audio setup? whenever I use two lavs close to each other it sounds robotic really appreciated
I like the fact that you protect and maintain your credibility by driving home the point that you don't take free gear.
Good job again! I'm not planning on getting new gear but it's interesting to watch such a thorough comparison of gear. Thanks again :-)
+Samuel Monte-Arrieta agree !
+Samuel Monte-Arrieta Thanks!
You folks are the best thanks for all you training and advise way to be. Wishing you the best.
i use to sony a6000 best photography can't tips suggest me please & photoshop ? Thank you
Wow, that's a lot of info! Great job "Team Tony". Your extensive breakdown should help many in making better decisions on what to buy for Christmas ;) along with any one of your books on how to use them. I am extremely interested in the Sony 28-135mm power zoom and excited to see your review on it. Looks like a good addition for me.
Cheers
Your videos have been so useful to me that I had to buy your book "Stunning Digital Photography", I just bought it today, i'll be adding the other ones to my collection as soon I finish this
+Ramm Álvarez Thanks!!
Hey Tony, love your videos. I'm looking into getting the a7ii for both good video and stills at a cheaper price point than the a7rii. Can you let me know if the a7ii software update made AF capabilities better than previous versions?
Can you please make a video about used vs new vs refurbished cameras. I love how you explain things. Keep up the good work.
Hi Tony, I just made an opined comment on coloring of video presentation and this video is the hue I opine which is the more familiar imo, thanks and regards, Joe
Hey Tony. For video in sport would you recommend the A7Rii over the GH4?
+Tony Northrup What do you think about a Sony A7R II with a Sony 28-135mm FE PZ F4 G OSS E-mount Power Zoom Lens?
I keep coming back to this video! Such great information even though you do tend to favour Canon more ;) I ended up getting a Panasonic Lumix DMC FZ-300 that I now use for my RUclips videos. Great cam! Thanks for the advice!
Great recommendations.
I do wish you would use the AKA on the canons though. The "t" range are all called something else in UK and many regions.
T6i is 750d I believe.
+biscuitsalive Good point, I always forget that Canon uses separate names... which is stupid of them.
+Tony Northrup I agree. Only confusing. Thanks canon.
Great recommendations on this video. Covered a large range of prices and use scenarios.
+TechLeatherCraft Thanks!
Very Informative and the one video i can share with my friends who also keep asking me this question a lot.
3:05 I'm jealous of that Flyknit Chukka collection!
Any reason why Samsung NX500 or NX1 didn't make these lists? When you gave your tutorial of the NX1 you seemed pleased with it for sports photography, so no mention of it was surprising.
Because of the lenses and the system now being discontinued.
EDC Gadgets that makes sense, thank you!
Don't recall seeing a review of that fz300 on you channel. Or am I mistaken?
Hi , can i use Sigma 24-105mm for Canon T6s ? thank you if you help me , i have a Sigma 18-35mm & Sigma 10-20mm i want add lense for telephoto shot .
Thanks
What lens was that picture taken with at 10:33?
Ah, the poor forgotten Pentax ;)
I'm looking at getting the K-S2 early next year.
But have I made a mistake?
hey I want to know about nikon coolpix p900 how is that camera for photography
I know this is a 2 1/2 y/o video but he recommends a Canon T3 which is cool. I have one, bought it in 2011 and I am happy with it. Yes, I wish I has more megapixels instead of 12.2 but it is a nice camera and I am looking at getting another lens for it. I have the 18-55mm IS kit lens and a Canon 55-250mm IS II zoom lens. Now to decide what lens to get.
Great Tony Keep it Going on I Love you the way You are understanding begginers
Tony, you did a great job of review & recommend the cameras & lenses. I will definitely get the Sony 7R II. I wish Sony add the built-in intervalometer with the firmware.
How does the d5300 perform for astrophotography and photo's under low light?
Cheap, with good resolution and for general photography.
hi, what is the best compact camera for video recording (concerts etc)... i appreciate your recommedation. Thanks!
Tony Northrup Thanks Tony. I'll wait until the spring and see which one is more worth it by then.
I picked up the t6i with video in mind but stills are still important to me. I am looking to buy my first lens not sure what to go with any advice?
Hey Tony and Chelsea, i am thinking of buying a Nikon D3300,D3400 or D5300, what kind of lens would you prefer for landscape photography in the budget of 100-250 euros? and why?
Which lens would you recommend to get first for the olympus EM-10? Also, is it safe to get a reconditioned camera?
What are your thoughts on bridge cameras for everyday use? (rx-10 ii, fz1000) The allure for me is always having a camera on me. Even though they have fixed lenses, they have some zoom and are decent quality. I know the sensors are smaller but isn't an rx-10 sensor better than say a t5i?
hello. i recently got a d5500 nikon. what do you think of sigma 18-300mm lens? thnx
I am still a beginner at photography but I wanted to get a dslr , is the d5500 a good choice or is canon better because I can't make my mind up
Can you please make an hour long tutorial for the Panasonic G7 since you recommend it, I just got it and I literally have no idea how to use it!
as always, great job. great perspective.
Thanks Tony. Great comparo as usual.
Tony, where would place the Canon 70D with all of the these and what lens would you recommend for general all around photography with the 70D?
I have a "nifty 50mm" lens and i'm looking for a decent crab claw to scratch the lens up a little. Nothing too expensive just a cheap claw would do. Any suggestions? :)
Totally agree on the D5500, i had one and it was mega!
I would like to take up photography as a hobbies and I was looking for a good camera and lens set up for wildlife photos specifically, but my price range max's out at $500, does anyone have a good recommendation, used or new?
my canon 70d was not featured :( ... im sad
+just4all1
neither my beloved Nikon D700 :(....I`m sad, too
+just4all1 Who cares , those are just good suggestions , the 70D is also an amazing camera, im sure Tony would agree on that too ..
Pretty nice video :)
GH4 is on my list for videos for its affordable price and all its capabilities but i wish i could afford one of these extra-terrestrial a7s2...
Thanks for sharing and have a great sunday
Great Video really, I bought sony nex -5r so what lenses are the best for it please.
Great guide, put your link in the description for your next videos if u can so we can bookmark it.
what do you think of the Canon 6D, the lowest end full frame Canon body? And what lenses would you pair with it, both on the wide angle zoom and the more versatile zoom (like 24-105)? for photojournalism and all around
Yeah I was wondering why Tony skipped the D6. I would get a 50mm 1.8 and at some point a 24-70 I think.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge!!👍🏽👌🏽
hi,would recomend a Nikon D3100 for a first DSLR?
what about the 1DXmark2? Great for video and stills.
Canon eos rebel t6i for me. Thank you so much for making this video...
since a lot of the equipment is bought off Amazon, how will I know if they are grey market products or not?
Btw Tony i just realised that Fuji cameras are not mentioned at all. Any reason why? :)
I want to get a cheap starter camera to fool around with "light painting" photography, with the occassional portraits and macro photography. Would the Sony A6000 suit my needs?
+Arnab RS Yes!
Budget around 700$
You can buy the D750 today for $1,559 on Amazon.

Hi Tony,
Should the AAF be taken in the decision of buying a new camera? I have the Sony A7 I I but knowing that there is the new A7RII without AAF makes me want to upgrade.
cheers
RJ
Great video .. What do you think about getting the Sony a5100 with the kit lens do you recommend it?I want a camera with excellent photos and video .. my budget is below 600 USDin case you recommend the Sony camera which lens do you recommend?I really appreciate any help .. Thanks
Hi, i was wondering what lens did you use for those photo examples for the a6000? and also, what lens would you recommend for a6000 that's cheap?
Awesome video!
The panasonic g7 is not available in india, so what should I choose canon 700d /t5i or the panasonic g6?
hai sir, what kind of LCD Monitor that u use?
i'm wondering, i thinks it looks good. and how much the price is? thank you.
Tony would you recommend the Canon 400 f5.6 prime over the Tamron 150-600 zoom?
