    I read my Bible because somewhere there had to be instructions on how to be,not fight your mind or conscience,or other.It keeps me on track to truth in all the things,eliminates the extremes,eliminates confusion,debriefs the nice lies,and the ignorances.Brings freedom from self,being unconscious of self,not niave or selfish,foolish or frustrated.I talk to God and ask questions,shout and wait,ask for courage to face things for freedom for truth to be kind and real.Alot of disintangling has gone on,wonderful.

      @@chimesquare Some times its sheer stubborness on my part to be clear against all the things I see are lacking common sense and how humans twist everything.Thankfully so many good people have come into my life who stand firm.They stop messing around,behave themselves,get on with living wisely,no dramas.Like swans,looking calm,paddling furiously underneath.

      The Word is a double edged sword. Defending us against the deceitful and harming those who attempt to use it for personal gain.

      @@TheArchangel911 How does it do that, exactly?

    • @TheArchangel911
      @TheArchangel911  2 года назад

      @@hughmac13 when a preacher or teacher is using the Word of God as intended, it opens up new revelations, deeper truths about how to function in this reality. To use a modern metaphor, knowing the truth inoculates you against poor theology. If a preacher or teacher is attempting to use the Word of God for personal gain, it will always backfire on him/her. In the long run, if someone doesn’t have the Holy Spirit inhabiting them, they take the Word out of context. It is easy to verify which type of teacher you are listening to by testing what they say against the Word of God, which always allows for verification by having numerous cross referencing within the text itself.

    Yeah, i don't know either, but there is something there that feeds mankind's needs in a way nothing else can, and took thousand of years to properly create, it is in fact desearving of respect, or at the very least deep curiosity.

    Recognizing the poetry in it.. and morally facillitating nature of this book are small nods on the road to seeing its best virtue as the Word of God...pointing the whole time to a saviour. THE savior. Where tye material meets the spiritual. In Jesus the Christ. Glory be to Good God Allmighty. Hallelujah

    I may not agree with JP on certain things, like his tendency to mythologize and psycho-analyze Scripture instead of taking it for what it is. However, Peterson is the kind of man that you simply cannot hate if you’re being honest with yourself. He is on an earnest quest for enlightenment, for the saving of many lives, but he isn’t so arrogant as to pretend he has all the answers to the world’s problems. Such a breathe of fresh air in a world filled with people who are outwardly self-righteous and yet utterly depraved inside.

    I like Zen. Embrace the ocean. Not even that. Let the raft go and the water go. There. You didn't need any of that at all (you sort of do to function in da society but not really).

    The battle seems to be, to find balance, in everything. It seems to be where God or truth rests. Balance between Masculine/Feminine, Human (or Nietzsche)/Spirit (or God), Order/Chaos, Aggression/Passivity, Confidence/Arrogance, Warrior/Peaceful Citizen, etc. etc.

    God maybe forgotten and disparaged but he ain't gone. For when push comes to shove and you are falling into the abyss. you will find how pitifully small and impotent your circle of light is. Mr Peterson's talks are literate and a ray of light in the void, but he struggles with the mechanics as he trys to articulate the conceptualization of them. The rise of Secular Rationalism and Materialism robs man of their humanity as it trys to turn them into no more than a blob of electro chemical impulses. Faced with that loss of the spark of uniqueness man has to fill that void with something. So while that spark of uniqueness and divinity maybe sublimated you gotta fill up your day with something so the ideology and or state becomes the religion that you serve. And woe unto you as the determination of ethics and morality falls unto the heads of mere mortal beings who are subject to all sorts of temptations and corruptions. Say goodnight Mr Peterson.

    In the AKJ (Authorized King James) bible, it states in the gospel of John ch3v3, that unless a man be "born again" (spiritually) he cannot see the kingdom of God. In 1Corinthians ch2v14 it says, But the "natural man" (unregenerate) receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know "them" (spiritual things) because they are spiritually "discerned". (understood). We cannot know or understand spiritual things via our cognizance, the only way in is through faith. Faith is the key that unlocks that door, nothing else will do. God is a Spirit and those that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. Jesus is Lord. :)

    SOME people don't understand. The Orthodox Church understands. The Orthodox Church put the book together. It came from the 1 & only holy & apostolic Church. Jesus didnt found multiple churches nor did he say to interpret things for yourselves. That defeats the very point.

    Jordan Peterson is absolutely wrong about religion v ideology. They are exactly the same thing just on different levels of power and resources. There are other factors at play but I do thinknit is some psychological condition...many if them. What we teach our children and each other through life warps t cwista and dements us. The only true doctrine to follow is love and caring. Community with good guidance. Act like it's your kid or yourself.
