Thank you so much Lorena! I love all your videos and most of all your personality. You always make me smile. Your the best!!!! Thanks again for all your videos.
I’ve was literally just been looking into using zippered leaders for my frame! It takes longer to pin everything to the leaders than it does doing the quilting. Lol. Numbering the leaders is genius!
Sew awesome. I have the zippers in my long arm parts “stash” … now I know what to do with them. Excellent. I bet Linda’s raises the prices I on their zippers within the week. We will buy them out! Just checked…12.95 for 126” zipper…but still a bargain! However, I thought you also sewed the zippered (not the side with the pull) piece to the quilt top also. I did not think you pinned or used the red snappers. Did I get this incorrect?
Wish you would show how to load your quilt w the zipper leaders..do you sew a zipper leader to your quilt top also ? Maybe you already have a video but I haven't found one yet ...tx girl love your videos.
ruclips.net/video/5Gdmuta6ues/видео.htmlsi=ZyugmY5pWa33uEXd. I think this video shows how I load a quilt and how I don’t do it the way Gammill taught me
I have the Original GMQ frame also. I've done a lot of upgrades to it and it's fine. I can't do king size quilts on it though, it's not long enough. I wish I could find the extension piece to make it longer. They don't sell them anymore. On the other hand I'd have to get a new sewing room to make it fit in my room, lol!
Thanks, Lorena! I'm saving this one so I can watch it again when I get my zippers. I like the idea of having an extra set or two so I can have the next quilt prepped and ready to go as soon as I take one off frame. I hated pinning so much I have a stack of tops to catch up on. Where's that "shady" icon when you need it?? Lol
Do you cut the zippers to fit ? I seen they were 126 inches long but ,,my frame is just 10 foot . I want to try this but I'm a little confused on what to do since the zippers are longer than what i need.
@@ToniNov25 easier said than done. The backing can be so large and hard to wrangle. I was hoping there was a method to squaring it that I could follow.
@@debbiechittick4755 Way back in the day, they taught us in Home Ec class to square up our fabric by pulling the opposite corners. You may need a helper to do that, but it does work.
Great explanation! I had a very busy day in my sewing room and now I get to put my feet up and watch you work. Thank you for posting this video!

Thanks so much! I can't wait to finish them up and put them in use! This is going to be such a time saver.
Thank you for sharing this information! You made it easy to understand and helped me to get mine done.

Yes there are zippers on the pulleys but when I purchased my machine I had them place on the bars. 🤓

I do a basting stitch on the end that has a fold I do not pin and I only put leaders on the back fabric.
Thanks for this. I'll be watching a few times. I have a dinosaur wood grace frame with no leaders. I've promised myself to at least give it a go.
I hope it works for you .. I love this system

Yes I did cut it to fur my leaders. Mine is 113 so I had to cut mine and make a fabric stopper on the end
What if your back fabric is not square? How can you make sure your back fabric is square?
Measure and trim it.
