U can play a video without sound in quick time player and then switch to picture in picture mode available and then until the video runs, screen would not flicker. Works for me and apple technicians also couldn't believe when i contacted and informed them about it.

I got another better solution!!!!!, I was facing same issue since 6 months, I tried many things for fix but nothing helped out , finally I just connected my MacBook to external monitor that’s it, Now working fine , I hope it will help for you too my friends 🙂

@@BlueKap Its updated, actually started to flicker after updating to Catalina 10.15.4. Now updated to 10.15.5 but still have the issue. Also, tried smc reset, nvram reset etc. Nothing seems to be working for me.

@@cooklast6662 Hey, found a temporary fix.. under system preferences - display turn the brightness to full and uncheck automatically adjust brightness. It would still flicker but not that badly.

Sourabh Kapoor have tried going to safe mode? If so, try it . If it still flickers then you have a hardware issue contact apple.
