I have done all steps, but stiil flickering, freezing and always restarting automatically.
The solution was remove my battery. Running without battery.

shift+control+option+power press for 10 sec release then press power, thanks madam it worked for me

i have literally tried all of these solutions and nothing worked. everytime i watch videos i keep getting a blink like flickering going on still. my macbook air 2020 model that is only 2 days old... not happy. I upgraded from my macbook pro 2015 model because this issue was around since day one of owning it too, and it eventually got worse and worse with video playback, to the point where the videos froze, lagged, speed up to catch up to catch up with the audio, and then gave me a green screen instead of the video. apparently according to a lot of apple threads i'm not the only one with this problem and it's supposedly an apple sierra update bug that apple hasn't bothered to fix. thoughts?

UPDATE: after seeking lots of help and reading HEAPS of forums, changing the size of you mouse is a really good (kinda temporary) fix!!!!! you're welcome

I tried this and it finally worked. I had to put it on the charger and then I held down shift control and the power button and my computer turned on but there's something wrong with my keyboard I think I got water in it.

This is a pointless video. It's a hardware problem, and these are all solutions to software problems. Don't bother reinstalling MacOS! This channel will recommend the same set of useless solutions to all problems, but it NOT fix this. 0% chance.

Same problem, randomly screen flickers if used heavy load program. Problem arise when zoom meeting used with heavy open tab safari or chrome. Very frustrating if u in the middle of meeting
