Thank you so much for this. I never knew you could control sound and brightness from a drop down tab in the upper right! I'm trying to power type a Word doc on a deadline and the touchbar thing is so distracting it's hurting my productivity.
it still doesn't do much. I heard it's caused by a malfunction related to but not only the dim sensor that keeps going on and off. I noticed that in broad daylight, it doesn't flash as often or not at all
@@jamestsquid covering it with black electric tape hides the problem. The alternatives are paying Apple $500 to fix it or paying them $1500 for a new unit.

Thank you so much! I was inputting minutes onto a sheet with a repetitive movement and I kept hitting the touchbar. It would throw me off. Time saver!

Thanks, I damaged my touch bar, and now suddenly the volume shoots up, this helped me customise and remove volume from the touch bar, Thanks
if you disable the touch how you can press the esc,F1 and so on?
You can customise the Fn key, to show F1/F2... in the below options
