if your computer dies by itsown. this wont work most of the time. my brand new m3 pro died suddenly and the configurator tells it cant unzip the restore files on it even thow it enters dfu mode.. impossible to restore or revive. the new arm chip macbooks suck. never buy one used without warranty. they are not realible anymore.

So, I had a bit of a rough time with my M1 MacBook Air today. I had just updated to macOS Sequoia, and everything went poof! My Mac stopped working, and I couldn’t even activate it. Since I sold my other Mac, I couldn’t do it the usual way. But guess what? I managed to get it working again by changing the language to Chinese. Who would’ve thought?
Thank you!! I tried literally every other hotkey/option, but nothing was working. I was duping my Display to HDMI/TV, and battery was critically low, so I had it plugged in. But then I shut down the laptop, and wonder if it was stuck in some mode, or I really dont know. Or maybe the MacBook crashed on shutdown from being too low on power. But in any case, my MacBook would not boot up. Finally as a last effort, before going to Apple Store, was to run this process with a family members MAcbook, and the Revive option took a bit, but finally my MacBook is revived/wroking again and booted just fine. Whew!!

I tried this, but by using the key combination you mention incl. the powerbutton, my macbook switches off all the time. Yes, I'm a total noob but it switches off all the time.

Greetings, excellent videos, all very well done, I need help with a macbook pro A2141, which we managed to turn on after removing one of the CD32178 chips which had a hole due to an explosion (let's not try the answer) it means that we only desoldered it to remove the short with this I manage to turn on and work The problem is that I don't have a 20v charger, only 15v (nintendo switch) The macbook doesn't charge, I know I should try to find a 20v charger but with the 15v one it shouldn't at least charge? or when removing no of the CD32178 chips it does not load? I don't have much experience with mac, this is my second machine I tell you that I have 11V in the Q7065 that goes to the battery but the mac does not detect the charger, now I have a screen to connect the charger I think I specified everything, thanks hug.

I think we need to do this on an iMAC A1862. The PP1v8_S5 rail is missing and anything below it. From the repair wiki, the firmware may be corrupt and is recommended for macbooks. Will attempt and document here and on badcaps. Thanks!

I have a 2017 A1534, it's been having similar issues, sometimes if I click the power button I can feel the force touch trackpad clicking, but nothing on the screen, in some cases it turns on run for 5 second and then dies, in other cases it turns on, shows the apple logo and the apple logo disappear while showing gray vertical line art effect on the screen and shuts off. I would assume it could be a cpu or a graphical problem, but I'm not sure.
bro I have an a2141 which faced the same issues u mentioned. this method worked great for me and this comment is posted from the same MacBook. just fixed it now.
Thanks for the tut. I have tried ever button combo, tethering to another Mac, and a startup USB and it always just gots to the Internet Recovery and fails... I'm stuck. It's a i7 Macbook Pro.
@@lapfix A little background on this, I was wiping the HD to sell the Mac and it froze up on reinstalling the iOS. When I did a hard reboot that's when I had these issues. Thanks!
