Small town, middle of nowhere in Utah, we're probably talking about cultures that feel a girl is becoming a spinster if she isn't pregnant by 17, and a man is "whoah, why you in such a hurry" if he gets married before the age of 45. I have a lot of family going back generations there (various parts of Utah) and some still alive where part of a culture where if you are a woman, you are property, your job is to fart out babies regularly and do the chores. We're literally probably talking about the possibility of a sub culture that SLC region Mormons would say "hey guys, wait a minute now..." with some of their behavior. Mormonism is pretty much two things now: mainstream (the vast majority) and "everything else" which includes behavior and lifestyles not approved by the mainstream Mormon church like Harriman's, polygymists, LeBarons, tons of sects that claim to be the true faith. (No, I'm not a member so debating the philosophy won't go anywhere with me, I'm familiar with their culture but not their theology because I've never been interested in it -- for the record, I'm with you on your comment, as would be 9 out of 10 of my Mormon family members by the way, 1 out of 10, let's just say I don't get invited to their properties or gatherings, and neither do the other 9 of 10 Mormons lol).
