  • The summer doldrums are here, and saltwater fishing in Western Long Island Sound can be tough this time of year! Saltwater temperatures are rising, and oxygen levels are dropping, but that doesn't mean you can't go fishing! Fluke and Porgy are still abundant and like they say, you've got to fish what's available!

    Whatever you gotta do to get em in the bait, lol nice fish at the end. Man you been getting lots of keeper fluke during the slow times, great job

    Nice job scoring that fluke! The fluke are definitely around, but the western sound is loaded with porgies right now… you really have to weed through a lot of them to find the good fluke!
