My first time Kayaking and this Kayak held strong. ruclips.net/user/postUgkx4k5UrhC3v_Y4hIEaXLGvHcN5a5aBmZNB The water got pretty rough as a speed boat zipped by me, and the Kayak withstood it (I expected to be capsized). The Ores are very easy to put together, the pump worked beautifully. the seats are a bit hard to sit in after a while (I recommend sitting on the floor). after reading the reviews I was very scared it'd get a hole in it, the material is very strong and durable. The Air valve may need a small Phillips head screwdriver to adjust, other than that, it's well worth the money!(update)I've gone Kayaking in 3 Lakes and 2 rivers totaling about 40 miles. the kayak had two holes and they patched easily and no other problems can't wait for kayaking season this year!
Thanks!
Same kayak upgrades:
Replaced all screws and bolts with eye holes screw. They fit better and are multi use.
Wheel only lasts 2-3 years but can be replaced. If you run over a rock 🪨 STOP ✋ or you will ruin wheel.
Seat WILL BRAKE ALL APART ! Zip ties everywhere will fix broken stitches.
Don’t put anything in dry hatch it will move around and will leak because of paddle holder holes.
Paddle holder holes leak
Skupper plugs can be filled with soft golf balls. I do it under butt so don’t get splashed.
Excellent father!! One on one with the kid! He just loves spending time with his dad. I’m 33 and haven’t found the right girl to settle down and have kids with. I would die to have a little man by my side like that! Love your channel man!
Thanks for the support! Your time will come to be a dad!
You could think about adoption! It’s a lot on your plate but me being a 20 year old who was adopted by family was the best thing that happened to me. There are a lot of normal functioning happy kids in the system who need a home.
I really appreciate you going through every individual step. Excited to watch your other videos and build the crate before my annual father/son camping trip here in 3 weeks. Great content, my dude! Subbed
Thanks for watching and supporting the channel! Good luck with your build.
Hi from Scotland. I like all the 'homemade' stuff - you get exactly what you need building things yourself. I'm using the same Garmin Striker 4 - great little units. Keep the videos coming mate 👍
Thanks for the support! Glad you liked the video!
I’ve got that kayak and love it. I weigh 290-305 but did use when I weighed 340. Worked good even when I was heavier.
Thank you so much for your sharing!! It's a great video!
Thank you!
Thanks for sharing! Awesome video!
Thanks!
It's the end of July, '23 and I just ordered one of these in the green off Walmart for $584 plus $50 shipping. Can't wait to get it. Great vid, tight lines.
You’ll love it! I’m in the process of putting a trolling motor on mine. Stay tuned…
Good video. I plan on doing my own kayak review soon. You gave me some good ideas. I also had a paddle kayak for several years. A lot of great times in that boat. Recently upgraded to a Native Watercraft Titan 12 peddle drive. Awsome yak for sure.
If I got a new boat it would be the Native Titan for sure! Thanks for watching!
Badass setup man, your channel is growing big time! Keep up the Grind brotha - much love fam
Thanks! I appreciate the support 🤜🤛
Adorable!!
Great video hit the sub button! Glad I’m not the only one with wood paneling in my garage!
😂😂 thanks for the support! Just happy to have a garage!
Well done video! It's a great way to rig a fishing yak. I just got a ascend 128 X for my first yak. I also decided to subscribe so i can watch a few more vids. Kinda cute with the little guy with his screw driver helping out 👍🍻🇨🇦
Thanks for the support! I hope you like the content! What are you fishing for over in Canada? 🤜🤛
Speckled trout are every where in ns and I hit the bay of Fundy for stripped bass. 35 to 55 ft tide twice a day. Can be crazy a times! Tight lines and stay safe on the water 🍻🇨🇦
@@michaelskalin5126 awesome! You as well.
Awesome video
Thanks!
Nice to have in an Emergency a Bag labeled First aid and all it has is Fishing stuff. You might want to have an Actual first aid bag and a bag for fishing.
Good idea! You never know…
Great vid, seems like a good “bang for your buck” kayak. I have a Perception Outlaw 11.5 the word stable is an understatement! If I were to suggest my favorite mod that I think most ppl could get some use of it would definitely be the “Anchor Wizard”.
Is the Perception Outlaw a pedal drive?
@@LunkerHunter no sir, but perception does make a pedal drive version of the Outlaw, it’s the Perception Showdown.
@@FoolisH409 I have only heard good things from people who own perception kayaks. I need to give them a better look.
Nice video. I would test out that milk crate behind your seat with some "test" items and tip over your yak in the water. I don't believe those type of bungee cords will keep it secured to the chair if jostled around upside down in water, but i could be wrong. I have fished out of second hand blemished post rental kayaks for years and have just recently increased the fleet as the kids have got older and outgrown riding in the kiddie seat on a malibu x-13. Good to have goals. I finally got myself a Old Town PDL 120 and it comes with new challenges of transporting multiple kayaks to the water. I got a trailer that i'm about to start converting it to a kayak trailer. I'm hoping by next season (i'm in the north) i'll have it ready for action and be able to hit the water alot more often than I have this year. Keep the videos rolling in. They are of good quality and content.
Thanks! I will try that. You’re probably right about them not holding the crate if I tipped the boat. I haven’t had that issue, but I have come close enough that I ought to take it more seriously. I have heard great things about the Old Town PDL 120. A bit heavier than your typical rental kayak huh? Haha. One day I will probably get a Native kayak, and I will have to reconsider transportation as well. I hope you get to get out on the water more. It’s good for the soul! Thanks for the support. I will keep the videos coming!
Hi, dig your rig, if not pedaling I certainly wouldn't spend Hobie $ either. Maybe an Old Town PDL someday?
Not sure if you run into trees or low bridges like I did, but adding horizontal rod storage was my biggest game changer. If I carry 4, I'll rig so I can throw 2 or 3 quickly into their holsters. Check out YakAttack SideArm Track Mount; you can do a hi-low setup on 1 side...my next upgrade.
I’m going to check that right NOW! Thanks!
I see your shirt. I'm from fayetteville nc and vacation at oak island. Just about to finally get me sea stream kayak
We love Oak Island! Have fun on the new yak! Thanks for watching.
I have the same yak, went a different way with the seat risers tho. I used bicycle handlebar accessory bars, they're all aluminum work well but you have to super tighten them. Rather have peddle kayak as well but until then this will work.
That’s a creative way to do the seat risers. Awesome! Maybe one day someone will make a cheap pedal kayak. But probably not…🤣
USU class of 81 here. I retired in Tennessee and I'm buying my first fishing kayak tomorrow. Just looking for ideas. Go Aggies!
Hey!!! Go Aggies! Good luck with your kayak! You’ll love it
I liked the dolly u made . Especially the way it fit in the holes for stability. Now that u had ur new one can you briefly say if yours works just as well? Or was it worth buying the yak attack.
The cart I made is MUCH cheaper, and is actually a smoother ride than the YakHacker cart, but the YakHacker cart is made to break down easier. I have had no issues with either. If I were to choose between one or the other based on price and functionality, I’d go with the cart I made. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
Great video man! Very informative I make fishing videos as well and really enjoy your content!! 🤝🤝
Thanks man! I’ll check out your channel
Great review how does it handle thick sand beach launch?
I have not taken it to the beach, but these tires are big and thick so I’m sure it would do great!
5:00 I just grabbed one of these kayaks myself, but I definitely wanted to grab seat risers just like that. I know you said facebook marketplace, but I'm not finding them myself, do you happen to have any links or more specifics for how I could find them?
Let me look. Did you try EBay??
Oh that's a great idea, I did not

From my research they say do not use scupper hole carts unless the specific kayak says you can because that is the weakest part on most kayaks and it will eventually crack. I know hobbie says you can on their specific yaks
I used mine for a year with no issues. I still have it, but now I usually use my YakHacker cart.
I'm very interested in those seat extenders that allow your seat to sit higher. I don't see a link in the description for them or maybe I'm overlooking it. Can you provide a link or the name of those?
seat.kayakguide.biz/unbranded-kayak-seat-risers-for-lifetime-yukon.html
I didn’t put a link to the seat risers because I bought them off an individual seller on Facebook. You can look at this link or you can google Lifetime Yukon seat risers and find people selling them. You can also try eBay. There are a lot of people selling them. You just have to do a little digging. Good luck!!!
Man that was an awesome video you did on your kayak man. You have a nice kayak setup there. I just put me up a Lifetime Teton Angler 100 over the summer for me. My wife & 6 boys got the same kayak 2 years ago & they love it Especially my wife Who did not like river water. But since she went kayaking with her coworker's & realized that it wasn't bad as she thought it was she fell in love with kayaking & Bought herself a kayak. My family & my wife co worker family we all get to together & go kayak fishing & kayak camping. I like how you did this video being barefooted 👣 man. My family we are a barefooted 👣 family. I have big very very Extremely wide feet 🦶 & my 6 boys have very wide feet 🦶 as well & all 7 of us are barefooted 👣 every day & on weekends all day long. I can't wear shoes because my toes are Evenly straight across making my foot very very Extremely wide at 6 1/2 inches wide & because of my toes being Evenly straight across they don't make a shoes that is wide enough for my foot but my 6 boys can still wear shoes but they all hate to wear shoes because it crushes and hurts their toes so all 7 of us Either are wearing flip flops 🩴 or we are barefooted 👣. We all even kayak barefooted 👣 because it's more comfortable to kayak. Good video buddy thanks you for sharing it. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos.
Cheers to kayaking with flip flops or without shoes!🍻 Thanks for the support brotha!
omg that tilt hows your back after hours of fishing in that position?
What do you mean by tilt? This seat is actually really comfortable. Especially with the seat risers.
10 Thumbs for Cutest kid of the day.
I won’t disagree 🤣🤣
There's a video out, where someone improved the keel wheel

Where did you get the seat risers from?
I got them from a seller on Facebook that ships to anywhere. You can find them on eBay as well.

honestly i could care less about the kayak, your son stole the show he's too damn cute!!!
Haha. I agree!
But I do like the Video
Thanks!
Kids or Kayaks -- one audience or the other IMO
👍🏻
@@LunkerHunterI don’t know what his problem is but I sure enjoyed seeing both. Keep showing those kids!
@@CoreyTFerguson haha. I plan on it! Thanks for the support! 🤜🤛
I have this same yak and I definitely will be adding those seat risers ! I have mine set up similar but I’d definitely recommend attaching your crate better . I “weave” the bungee cord that came with the yak criss cross through the crate bottom so if I do tip everything is safe in the yak ( bungees for the rods too while in the holders )
Thanks for the heads up! Let me know if you need help finding seat risers!
@@LunkerHunter I will , thanks . If you’re interested Wendell Fishing has a great DIY fishing crate build video . If you haven’t seen it, it’s worth the watch
Thanks! I’ll check that out
I like your set up on that kayak. I have the same one in the silver and gray. I’ve had it for two years and using it on my RUclips channel. I would like to know where you got those seat risers. I did a DIY on mine using PVC pipe, please contact me back like to talk to you maybe do a Collab sometime.
I bought mine from a seller on Facebook. You can find people selling them on eBay as well. How do you like the yak? I’d love to do a collab. Where do you live?
Always crank em! Get a pool noodle to keep em safe
