Nice effort but having that motor mounted 2 feet away on plastic rail mounts seems grossly inadequate. If you drag the bottom hard enough it will snap that right off.

Having a fan in an enclosed non vented box does nothing but increase the heat within the unit.

Instead of keeping fuse exposed you couldve wired it into box. That way there was no way the fuse gets wet or questions of “is it gonna get wet”

I ordered those pulleys and I'm assuming I need longer bolts to mount them? Once I got them in my hand I don't see how they mount to anything with what they came with.

GET YOUR BUTT OUT THERE!!!!!!! That’s the best fishing time!!!!! I live for days of white caps in my kayak! Use to have a sit inside one and I’d have to come to shore every 10 minutes almost sinking to drain it!!!! Having to wait till the wave sinks to spear your stake out pole at an angle the waiting till 3 feet away to pull tight so stale out pole is stuck at an angle!!!!! God I miss that rush!!!!

Same kayak upgrades: Replaced all screws and bolts with eye holes screw. They fit better and are multi use. Wheel only lasts 2-3 years but can be replaced. If you run over a rock 🪨 STOP ✋ or you will ruin wheel. Seat WILL BRAKE ALL APART ! Zip ties everywhere will fix broken stitches. Don’t put anything in dry hatch it will move around and will leak because of paddle holder holes. Paddle holder holes leak Skupper plugs can be filled with soft golf balls. I do it under butt so don’t get splashed.

I’ve got that kayak and love it. I weigh 290-305 but did use when I weighed 340. Worked good even when I was heavier.

Just a question, I made my setup to a T as per this video. I had great success on the first run but the next day the fan on the pwn will turn on but the pwm won't activate the motor. Any info would help.

I have experience with trolling motors on my canoe , you are looking pretty good with your set up . I see you are bumping a few logs , it’s a good idea to have a oh about 16” paracord doubled and wrapped around the shaft and motor tilt lock lever , go through the loop end and pull the lever against the shaft , wrap once or twice with a half hitch just in case you hit a bigger log the mo will hopefully tilt over it rather than break something , you can also tilt the motor up some if you happen to get to shallow , get you another battery and put up front , will help more with weight distribution and if you get carried away and run one down you have another to get back home on , good luck , great to see ya wearing your life vest
