  • The Interactive Metronome (IM) is a research-based training program that helps children and adults overcome attention, memory, and coordination limitations. IM works for people of all ages who have a variety of conditions affecting their cognitive and physical abilities.
At Live Active we use the IM to help children with a range of behavioural and learning challenges like ADHD, Autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, sensory processing disorder, co-ordination and balance problems. Recently we have had great success with children with various speech development concerns.
Additionally, IM has helped the older patient with recovery from stroke, falls injuries, concussions, traumatic brain injury, parkinson's, amongst others.

      *ANY* musical instrument.
It helps a lot, specially with other problems (like deppression, anxiety, etc).
But not everyone wants nor has the time to invest learning and playing an insturment.

@@visionaeon Absolutely. Our body is an instrument. Our voice is an instrument. Everything around us can be an instrument. These are free and take no effort and little time to access. One just has to give it a go and Allie themselves to be open to the endless possibilities

I had an adult male friend on the spectrum who was totally unable to move his feet in a dance step rhythm, even a slow one. So it is indeed a valid area of training for such individuals.
