Very impressive performance. Forgive my ignorance but is this production at the Met? I am assuming it is and I know Flanigan did sing there but her main venue was the NYC Opera. She is a wonderful actress & is in wonderful voice here. I remember watching her in the telecast of NYCO's production "Lizzie Borden" as the stepmother. I thought she did so well in that performance. Also, remember her in the Met's "The Ghosts of Versailles". Never will forget the beginning where she appears to be dressed resplendent French 18th century splendor with her elegant powdered wig while standing within the basket of a balloon. When steps away, the viewer reveals the true reality: her head is in fact practically bald with the appearance of lice, fleas and mites. Flanigan has enormous voice. I am ignorant when it comes to opera singers so I am reading the book "Opera 101" by Fred Plotkin. I realize many singers can cross over from one Fach & not be "peg-hold" within only that vocal category. Did Flanigan sing mainly roles within the lyric-dramatic repertory?
marvellous, his voice is a trumpet with grand control, thank you thank you that was sensational.
Amor santo ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Flanagan is a worthy companion to Pavarotti.
Bravo Pavarotti! Il soprano non ho capito mica una sillaba...
