I miss TN so much! I went there recently to the eastern part of the state. There so much you can do out there! If you DON'T want to pay that much to visit, you can check out the mountains. If you're up for it, you can hike through the Appalachian Mountains. After getting plenty of fresh air and burning calories, there are so many DELICIOUS restaurants to choose. One of my favorite place is the Black Bear Cafe in Pigeon Forge, TN! If you want to see one of the BIGGEST pancakes in the entire state, GO HERE! The pancakes are fluffy, warm, and WONDERFUL! The food is GREAT! Also, the owner is AWESOME, especially if you have kids!

Gus’s Chicken in Memphis and Knoxville is iconic. Also, if you are on I-40 East heading to North Carolina, stop by Carver’s Apple Orchard- a working orchard with a restaurant and shops. Their apple fritters are phenomenal! Thanks for featuring our state!

Nashville native here, I am the Unicorn! I grew up on meat and threes, hot chicken, pulled pork bbq, biscuits, country ham, collards, banana puddin', Goo-Goos... absolutely!! But Nashville also has fantastic authentic Mexican, Vietnamese, Ethiopian, and even Uzbek (nom nom!!!) food thanks to our fabulous communities from all over the world. Jack yes.. but I'd say our beers and ciders are a good find too. Diskin Cidery here in Nashville is a great place for the whole family to chill, play games, snack on hearty munchies, and for mom and dad to enjoy their stable of ciders. I suggest an Uber as there are so many ciders you will want to try them all. :D

Jocelyn I showed this video to my wife and we both agree that we like all the food shown here.
I didn't even know that they still made Goo Goo Clusters. My grandfather and dad both loved them but I haven't seen them in Texas for decades. Maybe they sell them in specialty candy stores here in Texas but I'm not sure.
Hey it's great to see y'all out traveling even in these crazy times!

*”Hattie B’s is the most famous.”* 🤔 Um. Prince’s Hot Chicken says “HELLO!” 😆 I’ve been to both. Quite tasty chicken indeed.
*Country Ham* - Gotta give some love to Tennessee country ham. Obviously great country ham in North Carolina, Virginia and Kentucky but Tennessee may (MAY) be tops. If you see Benton’s country ham or bacon on a restaurant menu, order it. Trust me.
*Really fun EATS video, y’all.* I’ve been to Tennessee a few times. Delicious southern food indeed.

I was lucky to travel several times to Tennessee in the past for a different hotel company. I remember all the barrels and how the entire town of Lynchburg had that Jack Daniels smell. Nice. I also worked with Cracker Barrel (sort of ) in Lebanon Tn because they own their own hotel that they use for trainees and people visiting Corp hQ and at the time it was branded as a Best Western (I worked for them ). Interesting visit. They would put a store manager in charge of the hotel for a few months. And change them out constantly.

I just moved from Memphis after 20 years there. Please stop advertising the Rendezvous. It’s gross (vinegar based sauce, lackluster sides) and unlike all the other bbq in town. The best part of Rendezvous is it’s location/atmosphere. Otherwise go to Corky’s, Central BBQ, One & Only, Commissary, Neeley’s. Please! Catfish and sweet tea-yum! In Arizona now looking to lose weight 😂 Love your channel!

Sorry, but Tennessee doesn’t really have much of a food identity. The hot chicken is about it. The BBQ is good, but let’s be honest. It’s not SC or TX.
