  • It's cleaning day for the Jimco. The snow and mud were hard on the bare steel.

    A few years ago we built a makeshift VW rail buggy thing and it turned out really nice so we decided to just clearcoat it. That way we can see every weld every crack and cranny but yeah it was protected against rust and stuff like that.

    Cleaning is a necessary Evil. I have always hated cleaning. LOL

    Why wasn't it powder coated when it was built

      I had a friend that powder coated his car. Totally hid the cracks and yes, off-road race cars do get enough hard hits to eventually crack. We had to grind off powder coating to fix!!
