I’ll never forget Eddie Carr’s death. He got his body snapped in half by the two Tyrannosauruses. Christ, he was even screaming for help. The Lost World is definitely a underrated dark sequel.
I always had a hard time watching him get split in half by the the the T-Rexes in the movie but had an even tougher time reading and processing his death in the book because he was the one character that wasn’t malicious but died like he was like one of the people trying to exploit the dinosaurs

That's the great thing about morphine. Had to go to the ER, last year, and once you realise you won't actually pass out from the initial rush, it's ridiculous. My fiancé asked about the pain and I said something along the lines of, "I can feel where it's living, and I don't care." Lol

The raptors’ role in the movie was drastically cut compared to the book. It would be interesting to see that scene in the film. We did get a cool scene with the raptors in the long grass and the communication building, so we did get something. Also, poor Eddie got a brutal death in the book and the movie. Though he went out trying to save his friends in both.
I remember reading the part that hinted this, where a raptor eats a candy bar, and remembers it later to find the high hide, it kinda took me out of it a little, but it was hilarious
It was Levine's fault he drop the candy bar wrapper on the ground before they saw the raptors came into the field. They wouldn't have even noticed them if it wasn't for that
This scene would be amazing in a movie but the Jurassic series is PG-13. I also like the way how Eddie died in the movie, it shows the power and strength of a mated pair of Tyrannosaurs.
This is by far my favorite part of the novel. It's a shame that the raptor attack and motorcycle chase afterwards wasn't in the movie at all. Maybe it'll be in Fallen Kingdom in some form. Great narration as always. :)
Kinda a bigger shame that Sarah and Thorne took initiative and to rescue the gang once Eddie was killed and Arby was in the midst of being captured Basically, letting a poor innocent young man die and a kid be set up next

I loved this scene so freaking much! I grew up watching the movies so, while I love them, when I read the book for the first time I was extremely upset that a number of the scenes didn't make it to the movies. (this being one of them, with Doc Thorne as my favorite side character from the books. Another being Dodgson's sound cube. And from the first book, the scene were Grant tricks the raptors into eating the poisoned egg. XD) In any case, I was very excited to hear that the director for Fallen Kingdom was taking cues from the books. Hoping some more of these scenes make it in there, even if they're different characters.
The scene with the T. Rex swimming after them (because Lex is a complete idiot) absolutely should have been in the first movie. "I didn't think they could swim!" "Why wouldn't they be able to swim?"
I really want this scene to get adapted/referenced in Jurassic World: Dominion, only less gorier and more faster. I really wanna see the humans have their own personal tower (just like the High Hide) destroyed by raptors. This is one of my favorite scenes in the book.
Because ‘upsettingly’ there’s no new source material, I am With you I hope they utilise what they have and missed between Jurassic Park and lost world novel. There are so many amazing scenes worth a turn that would pay homage to Michael Crichton while blowing our minds. The carnotaurus scene from l/w, the scene from jp with Muldoon trying to bring the Rex down, ok it won’t be Muldoon but you know what mean. The high hide scene, maybe an adapted scene at the mansion, or the geeky kid is Arby’s character on the island and it’s double jeopardy as they have a race to beat the volcano and a race to find and get him. Raptor nest under the volcanic earth..... man man man man man he excited me because it was a new Entry and that’s all it needed to be. This one there are so many possibilities I’m absolutely buzzing
The only thing that’s going to annoy me Is the rating. Now I don’t want an r rating and I know that it’s geared to all to maximise money and sales but.... I always feel that one of the films should be a 15
You’ve covered it before on previous videos that an r would be too much, the scene in Jurassic Park with Muldoon and the big one wouldn’t be half as good rated r. But ye I think one film Should be a lot scarier and a 15 rating would make it all the better.
This novel! Damn it was so good. Great video bro! I love seeing visual interpretations of what I imagined when reading these works of art. Keep them coming, I would love to see a full length video encompassing the whole novel. I know that's a tall order, but it would be amazing to see!
I completely agree, this scene should be adapted into one of the newer movies. I LOVE this scene. And the girls chasing the raptor on a motorcycle after this is great scene as well.
Poor Eddie... I was always pissed off in both the movie and book that he was barely mentioned again after he's death. He's sacrifice completely forgotten :(

(2) not the original JP, but still Crichton. I liked this book about as much as the original and often wonder how well the movie would have fared if they followed the book more closely. I know I'd have still watched it I loved the Lost World Story!
A video that I would love to see you do is one that focuses on the sound(s) that the Indominus makes. All the animals have distinct sounds, but to this day I can’t really describe its sound. Kind of shrieky... but at times it just seems like a vibration. Almost like the sound the Balrog make in The Fellowship of the Ring. It obviously has times that it imitates other dinosaurs, but I’d love to hear what you have to say on this.
Klayton Fioriti Aweeeesome. I looked into it a little bit at work last week and had some trouble finding concrete info. I imagine that you have better sources at your disposal. Love your stuff man. I check your page a couple times a week. Keep it up!
I feel like I should clarify... I was able to find what they used to make the sounds, but I have a terrible time distinguishing the sounds and hearing the difference as the movie goes.
Others have said it, I merely echo their sage words, you would be phenomenal at narrating the JP audiobooks. As an avid audiobook reader can tell you got skills. Also, the mixing in of sound fx to deepen the level of immersion is just fabulous.
I did enjoy the music! Maybe I'll check his page out. I also like how you included quotes from the novels in this and two other videos. You should do that more often. Also, maybe next time you could do some more scenes from the first Jurassic Park novel?
that was definitely a creepy scene. just imagining it as it was being read, makes me wish it was in the film. really showcases the raptors intelligence level which is what the franchise needs.
How did the High Hide even work though? The platform was suspended right? But it was suspended above the jungle canopy, because remember you can see the Rex moving through the trees at one point. So if they're above the canopy, what is the High Hide hanging from? There's no larger trees around them, because that's fairly clear in the movie. Did Eddie set up a large structure by himself that was strong enough to support it? Even then, you can't see it. Seriously! How did this thing work???
lol it was secured on a scaffolding that gets unhooked once its done being hoisted up by the winch. Its never explained in the movie but its gone over in a few JP sites on the web :D
From what I remember from the book (just finished, awesome read) the High Hide was was setup by scaffolding that Thorne and Eddie engineered, it wasn’t all that difficult to setup from what I remember. They set up the High Hide so it would be downwind (there scent wouldn’t be blown in the direction of predators or any other dinosaurs) and they also concealed the scaffolding with ferns (I think) that had a strong scent that also assisted in masking there presence. One of the other reasons why they concealed the scaffolding with the ferns was to hide the shiny appearance the scaffolding had. Thats all about I remember as to how the High Hide was setup.
Your a great channel and a great person! I always kinda knew there was some Jurassic Park lore but never really found any until now! Keep up the great work
Excelent video, Klayton! Sarah's raptor chase also would make a great scene and when the motorcicle poster for JW was releasedI kinda hoped it was that scene. Do you think Kelly and Arby's scenes from the book will somehow be adapted in Fallen Kingdom with the new young characters? I hope so, but I kinda doubt it, since Blue is the only raptor alive in Nublar(that we know of). PS: I asked this question in a older video, but I think you didn't saw it, haha. Have a good one. See you on the next video.
Hey thanks Gabriel! And yeah I actually think Arby is going to be adapted into Franklin in Fallen Kingdom. I have a good feeling that they'll be adapting more stuff from the novels from now on

The scene with the T. Rex swimming after them (because Lex is a complete idiot) absolutely should have been in the first movie. "I didn't think they could swim!" "Why wouldn't they be able to swim?"
I love how you keep going back to Ian all high on Morphine on his own.
Must be mandatory to have the good guys either loose or not bring guns to murder death isla-, I mean isla sorna. Good video though, keep it up my man.
lol thanks man!
Man this brings back so much memories from back in the days when I first read the novels. Just discovered your channel recently and love it! :)
I really want this scene to get adapted/referenced in Jurassic World: Dominion, only less gorier and more faster.
I really wanna see the humans have their own personal tower (just like the High Hide) destroyed by raptors.
This is one of my favorite scenes in the book.
I always enjoyed this chapter, the raptors taking Arby into the jungle, whilst he's in a cage was always an intetesting one.
You told this well! Any way that you could do a full fan audiobook for both novels? I'd listen to them😊
That background music in the entrance gives me chills down my spine
It's even worse when you hear it in the dark
Your channel is awesome dude. Keep it up. I always watch any content you put out
Hey thanks man! I really appreciate the support!
As a fellow fan of the novels, these videos are amazing.
Raptor nest under the volcanic earth..... man man man man man he excited me because it was a new
Entry and that’s all it needed to be. This one there are so many possibilities
I’m absolutely buzzing
Totally agree! They could really use all of these other scenes!
Klayton Fioriti what a film we would have and with j a Bayona at the helm....
The only thing that’s going to annoy me
Is the rating. Now I don’t want an r rating and I know that it’s geared to all to maximise money and sales but.... I always feel that one of the films should be a 15
Oh I don't think that they will ever let it get to an R lol but I do think that you make a solid point
You’ve covered it before on previous videos that an r would be too much, the scene in Jurassic Park with Muldoon and the big one wouldn’t be half as good rated r. But ye I think one film
Should be a lot scarier and a 15 rating would make it all the better.
This novel! Damn it was so good. Great video bro! I love seeing visual interpretations of what I imagined when reading these works of art. Keep them coming, I would love to see a full length video encompassing the whole novel. I know that's a tall order, but it would be amazing to see!
My poor boy eddie died like a badass yet people either forgets him or mocks him, just becaise he doesn't look like a tough dude
#Levineshouldhavedied
This was actually my favourite bit in Lost World. That and Dogson's fate
You do such a good job with these, you should read the whole book. Keep up the great videos. :)
Hey thank you!
I completely agree, this scene should be adapted into one of the newer movies. I LOVE this scene. And the girls chasing the raptor on a motorcycle after this is great scene as well.
Great video and I can tell u put a lot of efforts in your work👍
Thank you, I greatly appreciate that!
A young raptor once told me humans are idiots :/
lol
0:14 didn't know vilociraptors drove cars
LMAO
please do continue, i enjoy listening to this
*Bro, when I watched like 10 of these, my intestines be shook.*
Incredible how much your channel grew since I found you back in october/november, keep it up man!
Thanks bro! I'm glad you're still watching haha!
Poor Eddie... I was always pissed off in both the movie and book that he was barely mentioned again after he's death. He's sacrifice completely forgotten :(
Omg the picture at 8:19 might be the best picture ever, I'm a huge marvel and Jurassic park fan
Your work on the Jurassic series is absolutely amazing dude! I wanna support your channel but I don't want to do it through Patreon. You should make a Paypal that you link in your videos for people like me that wanna make one time donations without commitment. Even a bit of a well designed clothing line for your series would be sweet! If you want any help with setting anything up just let me know because this is definitely a channel worth supporting
Hey thanks man! I may do that in the future but I really want to thank you for even offering something like that! It seriously means a lot!
Your videos are always a treat.
Hey I appreciate that! :D
*Klayton uploads a video
Me (to myself): This day goin' be good...
lol awesome! 😂 Thanks haha
Wow.... I haven't read any of the books but I seriously could listen to you read them all day.

Well geez thanks man! I greatly appreciate the support and I'm glad you're enjoying these haha!
I'm rereading the book for the 4th time right now, I'm just getting to this part. One of my favorite in the whole novel
(2) not the original JP, but still Crichton. I liked this book about as much as the original and often wonder how well the movie would have fared if they followed the book more closely. I know I'd have still watched it I loved the Lost World Story!
You need to do more of this! Loved it! I look forward to more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Arby. He got the meats
lol
God I think Eddies death here was a lot more gruesome than just getting shared by a couple of angry rexes
That would be a good topic to discuss...I believe there actually is some info on that somewhere haha
Terrific narration of a fantastic scene from the book. Really a shame this one got left out of the movie
Eddie is a God in the Jurassic park franchise Rest In Peace
Others have said it, I merely echo their sage words, you would be phenomenal at narrating the JP audiobooks. As an avid audiobook reader can tell you got skills. Also, the mixing in of sound fx to deepen the level of immersion is just fabulous.
The Lost World is such a good book! ^__^
Frankly I want a video of you reading both books. I would love that your voice is perfect for it. Doesn't sound boring like the books we have out now.
lol I'd love to but Copyright exists haha
That was awesome
Thanks!
I did enjoy the music! Maybe I'll check his page out. I also like how you included quotes from the novels in this and two other videos. You should do that more often. Also, maybe next time you could do some more scenes from the first Jurassic Park novel?
More of those are coming soon! :D
Wait how did that story end?, you should another video about what happens next, Huge fan
Hey thanks! And I probably will in a week or so. Depending on how well this video does and all
Forrest Hassell read the book, its really good.
Eddie Carr will forever be the most heroic character in Jurassic park
I believe that in Jurrasic Park: The Game, something like this happened in the third episode, except on a water tower and everyone made it out.
that was definitely a creepy scene. just imagining it as it was being read, makes me wish it was in the film. really showcases the raptors intelligence level which is what the franchise needs.
Eddie set up an incredibly high scaffolding structure above the canopy by himself? Okay, Spielberg. Haha!
Keep up the great work
Hey thanks! :)
I have a good feeling that they'll be adapting more stuff from the novels from now on
And to think that poor Eddie would still be alive if idiot Levine had not dropped his candy wrapper on the floor 😭. A perfect demonstration of chaos
Man this guy needs 9999999999999 subs he's the best
Thank you haha! You're too kind man!
Oh great! (Sarcastically) Velociraptors know how to climb ladders now!
You know I really wish someone could film the sequences that are in the books like this one, the death of Dennis Nedry and when the compys eat the baby.
Great video man!
Hey thanks Gavin!
