For my purposes, this Honda 7.5 has just enough power. I’ve tested 20 hp outboards (all two stroke) on this Mirrocraft and it will handle them no problem. My boat is also rated 20 hp max- expect speeds around 30 mph if you try using a 20 hp.
I have 1977 four cycle model of this motor. Cannot locate a water pump kit even with serial numbers stamped on motor block which is B75--3011670. Above that it's stamped 149cc or 14qcc. Can you help. Thanks! Alan
I'm not sure if the whole kit is available, but you can get the impeller itself on Boats.net. Here is the link to it: www.boats.net/product/honda/19210-935-003?ref=c8d1d6fe6b2140870cef5919cc04cb1b7a696d3a
That is a good question! I’d guess around 3 hours of use. I recorded this video a while back but I recall using around 1 gallon of fuel for a little over an hour of motoring. It really sipped the gas
Replacement parts for these old Honda outboards are virtually non existent. I can't tell you how many guys pull these out of storage, get all excited because they're cosmetically excellent, but can't get them running because no one makes carb kits or ignition coils or water pump kits for them.
I’m not sure about the availability of new replacement ignition components but carb kits and water pump kits are readily available for these old hondas. Check out eBay and boats.net. You’ll find what you need
@@mattsboatyard6891 it’s light enough to carry one handed, the boat is easy to pack so I would say it can handle the weight, the speed should be fine but I’m unfamiliar with boats
I just got a 79. It’s been sitting in the guys basement for over 20 years and is in great shape…hoping it’ll only need some small things
Hi, which propeller are you running?
Have the same motor but I got some stupid 2 blade small propeller. Looking for a new one.
I am running the stock 3 blade propeller that came with the motor. This is the Honda part number: 58130-935-000N
I think it is a 9" x 9p prop.
I have the same boat. It says it can take up to 20 hp, but I think that would be overkill. Are you happy with the 7.5?

How long do you think a 3 gallon gas tank will last with that motor?
Subscribed!👌

Thank you!!!
@mattsboatyard6891 thank you! I'm just trying to decide between a 3 or 6. I'm getting one today for my 7.5. I think I'll go with the 3

I got a 10ft I might put this on, think it would be too much
It depends on the weight and Hp rating for your boat. Either way though, I’d imagine this motor would push it around with ease

Is it 7.5 hp or maybe 7.5 kw?
I believe it’s 7.5 hp
