Floor is the voice of a million ghosts.
The Mix is perfect. Floor is one of the ancestors. It make absolutley no sence, she overpowerd the Choire (the older ancestors). Grettings from northern Germany 🤘
They put Floor deep in the mix as an artistic choice. She is among the choir and all of the ANCESTORS. It will be epic live and Floor will be right out front.

Great reaction! We know Nightwish, their mastery in anything they do; everything they do has a purpose case in point Floor’s vocals “blending in”, the greater meaning, message! We love Nightwish like no other, so we should NOT BE SURPRISED, but I for one was absolutely floored, mind blown into millions of pieces 🤯, again! After consuming daily fast food music, Nightwish takes us to the fanciest restaurant serving an unmatched 12-course musical experience - cannot wait for September 💙 IMHO, there has never been, there will never be, another Tuomas Holopainen; Nightwish; Floor ❤️🔥 Can I get an “amen!”

Tuomas Holopainen - another masterpiece. He will for sure go into music history as the metal Mozart. After more than 100 views this song is growing on me like a good wine. The mix first to be seen as a little too low for Floors voice makes more and more sense as you are common with the lyrics. The composing is top notch, the video next level and the music just over-epic.

I listened to this song many many times by now, and it is one i like to listen to with my headphones or without, its really a good song, when i can do so to me. Some say Floors voice is low in the mix, and i can agree its hard to get all words she sing, but if you look at it soundwise it sounds amazing!! and after a listen or 2, you know most of lyrics, and its no problem at all, its done fully on purpose for the sound experince of it, and Floor being part of the ancestor choir.. cant wait for rest of album!!
Yesterwynde is the opening track on new album, i belive its only like a intro, its a little over 2 min long, #2 on album then is a almost 10 min song, thats proberly another epic!! #3 is where i think they bring in a heavy track, and this Perfume of the timeless is #5.. so i think its gonna be a good mix of heavy songs, Epics, and maybe a full balled.. Perfume of the timeless, well its almonst a ghost energy song right, telling all these ancestors is around in a timeless world, being around you still, and yourvthe perfume, also a message that your existens matters!! i feel tuomas also put in a little message that mankind could do better still, Einstein turn to ape..
The title of the album is a word made by band member Troy Donockley, which Holopainen describes as the feeling of time, history, memory, and being connected to past generation, who have "all had their lives, their ups and downs, and they don't exist anymore, except as atoms scattered all over the universe. And we're going to be in that state pretty soon as well. So that should give you something to think about."
Holopainen has described the album as being about humanism, history, and the inspiration thereof, and that outlook of the album is positive and optimistic ]

Hey Dave. Yeah the video is more like a mini movie. We'd love to see a live too, but don't expect it anytime soon. They have said they won't tour the album, taking a break. Rumor says 2026 before we see them on the road again.
As far as the mix, as others have mentioned, it was done intentionally. Floor is part of the chorus, the chorus of ancestors. On first listen , I did think it was hard to hear Floor's words, but after hearing this dozens of times, and learning the lyrics, it has become a non-issue for me. Knowing the lyrics, I can hear her just fine.
As far as the song, it is the lead single from the upcoming 10th album Yesterwynde, which is due out Sep 20. Yesterwynde is a made up word, they didn't know what to call it, how to express what they wanted. Troy came up with the word. The album is the 3rd in a trilogy of albums, with Endless Forms Most Beautiful and Humah:II:Nature, all dealing with science, nature, life, evolution ,etc. 2 more videos are supposed to be released before the album.
The song is perfect You don't tell a painter to add a tree. The best helmsmen are on the sidelines. And anyone who says her voice should be louder has not understood the meaning of the song.😊😊🙏🙏🤘🤘

Dear Dave, please realize that this is the Internet, a place where musically nobodies can work out as haters because they want to tie a band down. Just ignore them and keep on with your absolutely superb form of reactions. You as a reactor have the same right to have an opinion and we as followers not only have to accept it, we should take it for inspiration.

Another who thinks Nightwish is Floor. They are not. Nightwish is Tuomas and he can now choose to use a vocalist who can be part of an orchestral/choral piece as an instrument occasionally taking lead.
The mix is fine. Get used to Nightwish being more than the "lead" vocalist.
The diver footage is independent from a free diver who has a video of doves around the world and that's where these shots come from.
WOW! Someone took this way too personally. I wasn’t saying Nighwish is Floor. Please let me know where in the video I said that. I just wanted to hear her a little bit more? Is there something wrong with that?
@@DeskPopDaveReacts Absolutely nothing wrong Dave. I heard this on the day they dropped it on YT and knew nothing of Tuomas's artistic choice to mix it this way and my immediate thought was the same as yours. Subsequently found out about his intention (the whole 'part of our ancestors' thing) but, even after many further listens, it still doesn't alter how I feel about the mix, particularly the vocals in the chorus. I love the song, lyrics, amazing video and overall production, just not the vocal mix. You gave your honest opinion on a reaction video which I really enjoyed. Take no notice of the know-it-alls and haters on here and please don't let them put you off doing future Nightwish reactions.
Most people on earth agree this mix is terrible. I hope Nightwish learns from this mistake.

I was checking all my volumes on both my PC’s when I was recording this reaction. I thought it was me.
Most people on earth agreed that the earth was flat... until they didn't.
Mixing is made on purpose sound like it sounds. The band of this level do not make mistakes in mixing. Another question is that is it good or something else. Apparently most listeners do not like mixing. This is Tuomas's vision of art.

@@DeskPopDaveReacts to be honest, I would like to hear Floor more in front too, but what we can do. There is a privately mixed version of this somewhere in RUclips where Floor is better heard.
