Nice recap for us there Patrick! Yes, I still need to snag that Ulcerate… an exceptional example of how we'd like a band to progress and get better while also staying rather unique. Full of Hell just can't stop surprising us can't they?

Great picks for the first half of the year, a lot of these impressed me also and I'm still regularly spinning them. Some of your picks I still have to check out, like The Apophatic Wilderness, Sparagmos and Aumicide. Great year so far, imo!

Great list! Slimelord and Civerous are near the top for me as well, along with Funeral Leech, Noxis, and Hyperdontia. Like last year, 2024 is shaping up to be quite a year for death metal releases. 🤘🏼💀

Great list, Nate! I really enjoy the Hyperdontia, too. I need to relisten to Noxis; they rule. I liked the FUneral Leecj album but it didn't make my rotation.

Awesome vid dude. If you’re looking for some great black metal this year, you can’t go past L'Impôt du Sang
