If Gallipoli had never happened then the slaughter of ANZAC troops would never had happened. Several things occurred because of this usage of colonial troops by the British. One of them was that ANZAC troops were allowed to have their own generals, these generals were treated with more respect and lenience than most other generals. I'm an australian, and I don't think it can really go much without saying just how much this would affect australian history as well. Without the disasterous campeign, pushes for self-sovereignty would be weaker here, as one of the key things that made us begin to distance ourselves with britain was realising they saw our men as _nothing_ but expendable soldiers they could throw at unwinnable battles. This would directly lead to the rise of australian nationalism and contribute to the rise of a significant fascist minority in our state during the 1930s. With this altered, the pushes for australian statehood would likely emerge sometime after an alternate second world war if japan was our enemy, since if that was the case we'd likely see something like the Burma Road or Singapore to further make use feel disdain towards britain. All-in-all, without Gallipoli, it's perfectly reasonable to expect australian dominion status to continue into the 70 or 80s.
An actual Greek civil war might happen here, with the monarchists fully joining the central powers instead of wanting to stay neutral and eventually giving up

Abdul is not shortened version of Abdullah. Abdullah (abd’ al-ilah) means servant of god in Arabic. Abd’ al-Hamid means servant of Hamid, its also a name of god in Islam.
@Yarluqaduq I know, "Apo" is a more famous shortening of "Abdullah" in Turkish. But "Abdul" is also used somewhat to refer to people called "Abdullah" despite it being a shortening in and of itself
What if everything went perfectly for the Ottomans, or what if the Ottomans managed to modernise? I feel like the second one is more interesting, as it has a more focused time line.
I think that in this world the ottomans would have to walk a very tight rope not to anger the entente, so maybe their attacks against minorities would be somewhat mitigated. The entente may be occupied, but I wouldn't rule out them pressuring constantly the ottomans to keep in line. Also, as a little sidenote, it's a shame you didn't mention how this scenario affects zionism. It would be far more difficult to create a jewish state under ottoman rule, but the zionist movement was already getting pretty strong, and I wouldn't discard the British pressuring the ottomans to stablish some sort of autonomous state. Maybe even the French do the same with the Lebanese christians. Overall, I think that once the war is over, the entente would go back to pressure the ottomans, and they wouldn't really have all that much freedom to push for turkification.
@@matthiuskoenig3378 yes, but I highly doubt they would let them have any sort of autonomy without outside pressure. It's one thing to receive highly qualified immigrants that add value to the land. It's very different to abandon your own power in favour of those immigrants, especially when this puts the people of your own religion at a disadvantage.
Problem with this scenario is if the Ottomans to stay neutral, there shouldn't be a triumvirate dicatorship in the government but a democratic parliamentery which there was before this three idiots took power. So without three pashas there wouldn't be major problems with minorities because these atrocities were their brainchild. I don't think Brits would let Ottomans control their own oil, like they did in Iran and in future we would have a delayed Arab Revolt and maybe even a proxy war in the oil lands.
@@oihanlarranegi472 Giving away Jerusalem would serve a death blow to the Caliph title. So all of Palestine as Israel would have to be taken from Enver's cold, dead hands at the cost of millions of dead Brits or French. the british empire would have just attacked and taken that on a later date. the ottomans were bound to lose those areas to the europeans without outside help.
I like the addition of memes to the video (or if they've been there already then the higher frequency of them), it's a little weird at first but definitely enjoy it

The Ottomans being neutral means Gallipoli is no longer an important part of Australia and New Zealand's history. While this may not have a big effect in and of itself, with a location in France being the most likely substitute, it would also mean far less exposure of Australia and New Zealand's citizenry to the Turks and to Muslims in general. Who knows how big an impact that could have on Australia's foreign relations going forward?
Talking about Russian borders in the potential «What if WW1 ended perfectly for the Entente» scenario, I need to say that Russian government wanted to gain something similar to modern western border of Ukraine. Thus, the map demonstrated in 13:53-14:00 lacks Transcarpathia and Northern Bukovina (modern-day Chernovtsy region of Ukraine) regions under Russian authority. If you're interested, you can find info about General-goverment of Galicia created in 1914 after initial Russian success against Austria-Hungary.
Wait isnt Ottomans actually tried to join entente but it got rejected by britain? Thats kinda the reason why Ottomans military bombed russia and put the empire to war by force because there was a great fear of britain turning its eyes to ottomans after finishing germany... Ottomans at least had a chance to survive in war. Britain supporting rebels against Ottomans kinda proves this. They wanted middle eastern oil fields. THEY NEEDED middle east oil fields...
Yeah and also russia bringed their troops to eastern boarder when Ottomans asked for guarante they reject it there were not a way to get way from this war

After a long time I have enjoyed your video ❤
God damn you have reached new heights with this editing style. Keep it up.
Overall, I think that once the war is over, the entente would go back to pressure the ottomans, and they wouldn't really have all that much freedom to push for turkification.
the ottomans were already allowing massive jewish settlement. they wanted the educated jews.
I can imagine a scenario where Enver makes the British and French help in conquering Turan in exchange for Israel but I doubt they would accept that either.
the british empire would have just attacked and taken that on a later date. the ottomans were bound to lose those areas to the europeans without outside help.
6:40 "We think of WW1 as Germany doing everything with all of their allies being incompetent, or Bulgaria" - great quote!
This is a great channel! Keep up the good work!
Btw the German ship
Or actually ships were the Mediterranean divisions consisting of the goben and the breaslau
What if everything went perfect for UK
"What if John Brown was President" We NEED this, please! Also, amazing memes. This was, as usual, a great video.
Gigachad Brown would destroy Slavery
I like the addition of memes to the video (or if they've been there already then the higher frequency of them), it's a little weird at first but definitely enjoy it
please keep adding the minecraft icons when making these videos lol
22:10 “The tsar could lose power to a revolution that removes him from power” those certainly are words
Suggestion:
What if the Warsaw uprising succeeded leading to more pressure for the pre-war polish government to return possibly leading to a pro west Poland or neutral Poland in the Cold War?
the fact that youre using memes more frequently now is killing me,great job! keep up the great work
why do you like memes? small question.
The editing is getting really polished, kept up!
Honestly, i love the editing style of this video. I'm only half way through the video and i already like the style it's going for! Really like your videos possible history.
The awkward pauses now and then in videos are funny
8:12 was very funny and subverted my expectations
I really like the new memes/effects added to the video !
It was impossible, few countries in the entente were already planning to separate and invade the Ottomans anyway.
The memes really make the watching experience a lot better bro
Idea for a longer scenario:
What if everything went perfect for the Axis. Like for example Germany takes Britian over and Japan deafets China. But ultimatly they still lose to the Allies
Love your content🎉🎉🎉
Great video I couldn't give a thumbs up because RUclips removed its thumbs-up
Amazing video! Love your channel!
What do you think of what if everything went perfect for Indonesia?
subscribed, liked! what a epic video! thank you for making this masterpiece!
Please do make a part two
8:22 I saw John brown and got excited because I’d been thinking it would be cool to see a scenario where John brown’s plan succeeded but then I saw “was president” and lost interest. John brown getting elected would have the same results as Lincoln’s election
Very nice video, good job👍
Can you please do a "what if 1953 iranian coup d'état failed" video. It is a very important part of iran modern history, and most people doesn't even know about this event
I very appreciate if you do this video😊
The Ottomans being neutral means Gallipoli is no longer an important part of Australia and New Zealand's history. While this may not have a big effect in and of itself, with a location in France being the most likely substitute, it would also mean far less exposure of Australia and New Zealand's citizenry to the Turks and to Muslims in general.
Who knows how big an impact that could have on Australia's foreign relations going forward?
I love the new editing style. The footage combined with the mapping and memes is perfect
General government was a name applied to german occupation of poland during ww2 and russia didn't want northern bucovina since it was romanian
What maps do you use for your videos?
Wait isnt Ottomans actually tried to join entente but it got rejected by britain? Thats kinda the reason why Ottomans military bombed russia and put the empire to war by force because there was a great fear of britain turning its eyes to ottomans after finishing germany... Ottomans at least had a chance to survive in war.
Britain supporting rebels against Ottomans kinda proves this. They wanted middle eastern oil fields. THEY NEEDED middle east oil fields...
they wants it… THEY NEEDS IT 😂
Yeah and also russia bringed their troops to eastern boarder when Ottomans asked for guarante they reject it there were not a way to get way from this war
@@user-ih5uk1tj3u I mean they really needed it because of new diesel engines. The oil was new gold :P all new machines was working with it
Enver Pasha was the one that wanted to join the central powers
i love this new editing
In this timeline, it takes one poor territorial expansion decision for the ottomans to face the biggest dogpile in human history
An extension on this, What if the pope called a crusade against the ottoman empire?? (During ww1)

I know you usually do more recent stuff, but I think it’d be cool if you did a video on what if the Frankish empire didn’t collapse
Idea for a video - "What If Bulgaria captured Constantinople during the 1st Balkan War"
I think instead of making more scenarios you should make continuations of your other videos like for example I would really like to see a pt 3 for what if everything went perfect for the central powers. Also 14:15 I think a what if everything went perfect for the entente would be really boring because they won the war anyways
Make a part 2!
I love the new video style
Decline and collapse of the Ottoman Empire was dramatic and tragedic but it had to happen in some point. And it was inevitable.
Love your videos!!!!
Nice editing dude!
Do a video on Texas remaining Independent plz!
What if Turkey joined the WW2 earlier, like at the beginning?
As a Turk, we would invaded by Germans. But, when Soviets come here, we became a Communist country. So, that's on of the worst option of Türkiye. Especially a 15~ years old country.
What if the Ottomans kept their protectorate over the Aceh Sultanate?
i'm happy. I need video about "If italy win first italo-ethiopian war"
