@@jacobbirch21No, it’s not. I like to build 200km/h drones; solid figure for a ~450g 4s drone drawing 2000w power full throttle. Takes at least > 1 sec to hit 200km/h no matter what. Did the math. Can’t beat physics.
@@jacobbirch21 it's possible for them to go that quick, but this video doesn't claim that. It claims to have an average acceleration of 400km/h/s. That's definitely not the case here. Takes over a second for the quad to go full speed, not 0.5 seconds.
For people that need some science to believe it: To go to 200km/h in 0.5s you need 200/0.5/3.6/9.81=11.3 g on average. An fpv racing drone has 1800x4=7200 grams of thrust. The drone weights about 450 gram so at the start it can have 7200/450=16 g. When the speed goes up the thrust will go down a bit but 11.3 g on average for 0.5 s is absolutely possible.
A lot of math but your assumptions are wrong. a) 1800g thrust is a static number based on e.g. a 6" two-bladed prop which a drone rarely has. You'd draw close to 50A per motor on that and no racing drone is designed to consume 200A at any given moment. 120A is already a very high figure. Don't forget that at no point in time a drone's motors simultaneously run full speed since the PID system will always balance thrust to keep the drone stable mid-air, especially given the turbulence air resistance and its own prop wash at higher speeds. b) The 'static' keyword in A is paramount. As soon as the quadcopter flies off, it moves away from the air it tries to push, drastically reducing static thrust. c) There is an exponential increase in air resistance as it builds speed. d) No drone that competently handles 200A and 6" props weighs 450g. e) Racing drones are not built for absolute lineair top speed but for a blend of high speed, maneuvrability and endurance. Choosing very high pitch props and the hardware needed to drive it is detrimental to two of these factors. 0-200 in 0.5s is absolutely, positively impossible for the depicted device.
@FrankyFeedler Thank you for the feedback. a) my numbers were based on chris rossers motor test. The wasp major delivers 1800 grams of thrust with a 5inch propeller. The efficiency is 2g/W so that's 900W per motor. On 6s that's about 40A per motor. The ESC's and battery are rated for that but that's of course marketing and should be tested. b) Important point but we don't know how drastically so that should be tested. c) True d) It's possible to build a 5" racing drone of 250g and a lipo of 200g. Maybe his setup is closer to 500g but I don't know
@@FrankyFeedler e) That's true but 200 km/h isn't that fast. Andy rc did some testing a few years ago with 3inch drones and they went over 170km/h. That's with outdated hardware and no top of the line parts
@@timon72489 A) On paper, but again there is no real world way that all four motors run full thrust due to the PID system, speed of the drone and 160A being unsustainable. That’s the reason it maxes out at around 200 because at that point its thrust relative to air resistance is zero. I’ll add a point F) though that I forgot: If it has the power to accelerate to 200km/h in 0.5 secs, which I still think is far from reality, the top speed of the drone would be around 400km/h which is unheard of.
Fake ... Is not possible the motor axes would tear off the bells and the arms would break because of the wind... the earth would start to turn upside down... seriously how many times for 0-300?
Looks like a standard "diy" or custom built 5" fpv drone with an X frame designs. Some nice motors like 2207's or bigger and a good 6S lipo pack to handle it. Doesnt look super fancy really but it could also just be super light weight and adjustable, etc.. Not sure on the drone frame brand.
Im pretty sure hes at champs when he made this video, so my calculated guess would be like 5-8 mins. It would be 15 if he wasnt doing full throttle the whole time

You see how the camera got moved real fast at take off then the camera blurred when it was speeding off that is from cgi you see how nothing blurred from the beginning jeeehz
Carbon fiber frames eliminate that factor almost entirely, so unless some screws were cheap monkey metal and stripped out while under force or it wasn't pre flight checked for loose hardware or abnormalities they aren't going to accelerate so fast they rip themselves apart
@@IRONCaptainPanic Or if they forgot to use loctite. Tighten all you want; screws will shake loose and motors destroy themselves (the wiring) in an instant.
@@FrankyFeedler motor wiring does not rotate it is static, so there's no reason it would destroy in an instant... I have about 20 racings drones, some designed to achieve 250Km/h at top speed and never had any issue, even without loctite, just a regular tighten checking before the flight and that is fine
@@MessFPV Thanks for the explanation of how motors are static. I did not know that. If it comes loose, it will rotate around itself and the force will rip the wires. That it hasn’t happened to your builds doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen.
@@FrankyFeedlerbrushless motors have static electro magnets, only the clutch with Dyn magnets rotates around, it's designed to handle very high RPM, I am in the FPV community and know exactly what kind of issue happen or not, and no motors ever explode or whatever, bearings can damage with time and depending on the use but this is replaceable, what damages motors is either the crashes or a burn of the wiring in some cases due to to much amps or a bad setting (PID , filtering, etc...). But Gs or speed is not an issue in any way for the hardware by itself, it's designed for that.
