Perfect lesson at the exact moment I needed it to create a memorial on slate. I've used it for background removal but not laser so I was "home" and comfy. Thanks for being there! It's a great program.
i have been using the offline version for 3 months for my co2 60w laser machine and i am very satisfied with it. and if I was given a license to use it for a while, I would be happy, and even though it's not free, I would like to use it. Thanks developer.
wow, soo wonderful this tutorial is aww some, this will definitely be a return channel for the quality of the content. keep up the good job !!! well done 🎩💝
I am really impressed with the results I can achieve with ImagR. Things that used to take hours to edit are now done in a few minutes with a super professional result.
When I use ImagR to set my dpi and engrave it engraves incredibly slow, so I just use ImagR to crop and select material.. then set my dpi in lightburn and it engraves much quicker with same quality dpi
Great video, i definitely need to try it with my 5.5 w diod laser! Also i wanna try canvas, because for the now i only have experience with plywood and glass.
Is this the same way to do it with a fiber laser? When I use imagr like you it doesn't give me a white background on my image like yours. It makes it black. Any reason why?
Really good tutorial, but a few issues. First, there's no DPI test on download. Also, no "Automatic Process" for Sharpen. I assume these, and maybe more, are paid features, and you should make that clear.
Well, I have been using ImagR (off-line) for many months now and I have to say it has helped me so much, but this video on slate is the best yet, I have always had problems trying to get a good result, but using the method in this video is amazing, I still need to tweak the setting a bit but is gets me so much closer to get that great final result. Thanks guys and keep up the good work ;)
Denoise does not exist on ImageR neither does Auto Adjustment, Color Correction, or Auto Sharpen. Under Select Material there is only Old, Norton, Co2, and Grayscale. The other options are not available. Why were these options taken away?
Hi there. Please can you help me. When I use ImageR so that I can change a photo to engrave the image on wood. It only gives me 3 saving options. Bmp. Png. Jpg. What am I doing wrong or where to from here. Thanks in advance
hi great video i am trying to get our wedding picture on wood and slate but having a bit of trouble just wondered if i sent you the picture would you be able to help ??? thanks
Because you need to resize it first to the nearest size, and then crop it in ratio. If you‘re not resizing, the image will show not the needed dimensions in crop. However. You can resize, and then crop now. That wasn‘t possible to this time
Too organised for me! I'm happier blaming everyone else including materials and those who sold me the materials for any failure. I have recently taken to blaming my cats for changing settings when I'm not looking
hi, does alot change on your free online software? as i dont have half the options you show in this, i cant produce a DPI test from an image in imag-r, as when i go to download it is not an option, also i only have old, norton, co2 and greyscale for materials unlike all the options you have???
Nice video but several of the options you mentioned in your video were not available to me. Is this because I am trying a free version? Also when I download I didn't have the option you mentioned. I only had bmp, jpg, or png - which is best for Co2 lasers?
i created a image on slate using imagR online removed the background and it printed great where i had removed the sky it left the slate natural colour which i wanted and used setting old slate and 3000 speed and 80% power I was happy with the finished product when I came to do it again the removed background i.e the sky turned out a pale white I can not understand what I did different or wrong can anyone help

This is a great video. I would like to see if you could help me figure out how to engrave my space images on slate better.
I can't wait to try ImagR based on what I am seeing from posts.
I love your Videos! Tanks for making 😍❤️
It's easier to only use imag-r to resize the picture, and use lightburn to dither.
Working on some slate now
Thank you for the share of such great information on slate engraving
Great walkthrough! Thanks
Exactly the video I needed. Thanks
Really good tutorial, but a few issues. First, there's no DPI test on download. Also, no "Automatic Process" for Sharpen. I assume these, and maybe more, are paid features, and you should make that clear.
Very nice tutorial !

Great software with a lot off tutorials! Thanks!
Awesome work
Denoise is no longer on your website. what do we use now?
Denoise does not exist on ImageR neither does Auto Adjustment, Color Correction, or Auto Sharpen. Under Select Material there is only Old, Norton, Co2, and Grayscale. The other options are not available. Why were these options taken away?
Nicely done
thank you so much for the thorough video! great tutorial!
Great video!
Your channel is a live saver thank you so much for your tutorials I just subscribe...
I like the tutorial and hope it will work for me to. 👍
once you use ImagR, and import the graphic into Lightburn what selection do you pick for the Image Mode?
As a newb, I’m wondering how did you choose the 318dpi? What things did you look at to say I like this one the best?
What is the lake of the Matt black paint used?
hola, con que maquina haces el grabado'? muchas gracias..
I can't wait to figure out how to get my laser to make such clean images.
Nice work! Thanks

What brand of flat black paint or what kind enamel? Or just regular ?
This is so helpful!
Nice job! How strong this laser is?
Здравствуйте!Не посоветуйте с какой скоростью и мощностью можно сделать портрет на 20-ватном, диодном лазере? Материал гранит чёрный

Yesterday 21-05-23 i´ve tried to make the dpi test but it´s not available anymore with a free accout. :(
I would really like to learn how to correctly use Imag-R. I just don't think I'm smart enough.
Great tutorial
hi great video i am trying to get our wedding picture on wood and slate but having a bit of trouble just wondered if i sent you the picture would you be able to help ??? thanks
Love it. Thanks for the great videos.
Merci pour les vidéo bien explicatifs c génial
I want to do it on plexi (acrylic) show how please
Did you say you use black matte paint on the slate prior to engraving? I was using matte clear wonder if the black matte paint would be better.
Hallo, großartiges Video!
Eine Frage hätte ich.
Wieviel Watt hat Ihr CO2-Laser?
80 :)
Good Job💪💪
Is the slate what you get from a roofing merchants
Great lesson always learn something
which machine (engraving) are you using in this video?
What is the black plate you engraved? I'm curious.
What does the pass through setting do different that it must be enabled?
Bonjour cette version est a combien par mois s’il vous plaît ?
Defo gonna try this now ▶
Question - why the double upload/crop? Why not do it perfectly the first time?
Because you need to resize it first to the nearest size, and then crop it in ratio.
If you‘re not resizing, the image will show not the needed dimensions in crop.
However. You can resize, and then crop now. That wasn‘t possible to this time
Too organised for me! I'm happier blaming everyone else including materials and those who sold me the materials for any failure. I have recently taken to blaming my cats for changing settings when I'm not looking
Awesome tutorial from start to finish thank you

Awesome video. Where do you source your slate?
Nice video but several of the options you mentioned in your video were not available to me. Is this because I am trying a free version? Also when I download I didn't have the option you mentioned. I only had bmp, jpg, or png - which is best for Co2 lasers?
They download in the video as PNG
What wattage is the laser and what focal lens is being used?
i created a image on slate using imagR online removed the background and it printed great where i had removed the sky it left the slate natural colour which i wanted
and used setting old slate and 3000 speed and 80% power
I was happy with the finished product
when I came to do it again the removed background i.e the sky turned out a pale white I can not understand what I did different or wrong can anyone help
Probably you didn‘t saved it as png?

With the settings did you use dither or stucki ?
Where can I find a slate engraver ?
