Until just a few years ago, if you wanted to 3D print, then you had to make your own printer and the RepRap project started the whole thing off. I made several printers, and like many of my projects that I no longer use, I needed to decide what to do with it. So I first tried to see if I could remember how to use it and then printed some useful items to use up the stock of 3mm filament.

Even a silicon sock for the hot end would make it better at heating that huge filament.
I always wanted to make a mendal but never had the time or money. by the time I got them I could afford a pre-build one. the starting point of something like an ender 3/5 with the 2020 extrusions gives such an amazing base for any number of final designs.
