Creating a Gated Reverb effect on a Snaredrum

- In this tutorial we're looking how to create a gated reverb effect.
A gated reverb is a Reverb with a very long reverb-tail which gets cut-off by a gate.
The gate get's triggered on it's key-input by the Snare-drum, this allows us to control the length of the 'reverb tail' with use of the gate's hold and release setting. It sounds very complicated, just check out the video and you'll see what I mean.
Also I experimented by sending a vocal-sound to the same reverb-channel, this gave some very interesting results.. Check it out!

Hi Rishi, thanks for your comment.
I guess it has a little bit to do with me lacking in promoting this channel at all :(
(Basically all I have done is just posted these videos here, and thats it really..)
I guess that I should be putting more time in promoting it properly ;)
-So now I should say, spread the word?

Awesome as always. This gave me an idea to set up the same signal flow but replace the reverb with a short delay- maybe add it to a vocal or hi hats to make a cool trail-off, accents to a certain element. Like a sporadic accent from the controls of the gate. Hope it works audibly.
Excellent, I've done this before but forgot how to do it. We need cool vids like this.
you're really a awesome teacher. why does your channel has these small amount of views?
the end of the video was hilarious) "it is something you could do obviously" it made me smile, thanks for the video)
