Classic episode. I'm glad you both like it. Not only that, you always figure out convoluted British ways and appreciate it even though you did not see it first time round in the early 90s.
The funny thing about this episode was they were trying to impress the young woman and that was where the rivalry started but the twist was she was already engaged to be married so they were both Plonkers on this occasion.
Watch the full episode, called Tea for Three. The tricks evolve from a rivalry over the girl, Lisa, and Del brags about being a paratrooper thus his reluctance to pull out of the handgliding which Rodney has set up as revenge for being left under the sunbed. One of the finest episodes imo.
Brilliant. Love only fools and horses. There are so many excellent clips. We all look aged and haggered to when we were in our 20s. It's sad but equally reassuring isn't it? Treasure your youth kids! You'll miss it when it's gone!
Just a thought, why not say once a month do a reaction video to an old British children’s programme with your children? A few suggestions - The Clangers, Trumpton, Chigley, Camberwick Green, Mary Mungo & Midge, Mr Benn, Ivor the Engine, Magic Roundabout, Willo the Wisp, and the Mr Men. Some of these shows only last five minutes so perfect to review in full.
The irony about this Episode is that David Jason was a qualified Glider pilot, what Americans call sailplanes (Not hang gliders). The full sized versions. And was fully familiar with ridge soaring. Lilian has such empathy, not believing Rodney would do that to his brother.
Got a bit thoughtful there. Don't forget; growing older and seeing your kids become teens means you have a golden opportunity to embarrass the heck out of them. Anything will do. From having 'noisy shoes' to dancing in HMV and saying ' This tune has a groovy beat!'
If you’ve seen the full episode Del deserved what he got. And he didn’t want to bail out because he was trying to impress the girl behind him in the pink.
The hospital tried to ring his next of kin but couldn't get through, so rang the pub. I don't remember details of the episode, but probably something to do with them having a phone that Del sourced and it didn't work properly.
Rodney is a bit naive but he is cleverer than del he knows bigger words he has a better vocabulary he often has to explain big words to dell but Dall is just more streetwise. I really think you guys would enjoy the series if you watched it but I understand you have three children so you haven't really got time for that kind of thing. It is a show the whole family can enjoy from children to your grandma because it's got no bad language there a bit cheeky but it is proper family viewing but really funny
I know you said that you don't have the time to watch full episodes, but if you have the box set you should really try to watch the episode Ashes to Ashes, it is HYSTERICALLY funny.
Needs context. Scene is funnier 'cos of the practical joke Del played on Rodney. And we didn't see the punchline. It's simply one of the best F&H scenes.
Rodney ment to be the idiot one but then delboy does something stupid and Rodney ends up the clever one then vice versa so it’s a win win who’s dopey and who’s clever lol
In real life, David Jason flew hand-gliders and Nicholas Lyndhurst piloted planes. Suggest you look for the 'Zebardee speech' from 'Strained relations' about Del having to play the tough guy when he didn't want to and that he doesn't know "how to be anyone else" including how to grieve.
one of my favorite "non special episodes".. please watch more only fools but the longer special eps like miami twice, jolly boys outing, heros and villains.. the list goes on but they are some of my favs :) edit: oh nvm you don't even watch the full episodes, they're 30 minutes long its not really "all the time in the world" and we've been in lockdown for a year straight.. hardly rushed off your feet are you? Although i have been told americans have very little attention span so watching something for 30 mins without any ads may be difficult for you, i didn't take that into consideration. thanks for the videos.
Del let Rodney fall asleep on a sunbed hence the tan. This stitch up was Rodney’s revenge!
“My Gran had one with a squeaky wheel” - Trigger at his brilliant best!
Lol
I actually used that when my mate broke his leg and ended up in a wheelchair… hilarious
he had some great lines especially when had only an occasional one here and there
You're laughing and smiling, so British humour is right down your street.
This is one of my favourite episodes. I could watch Fools and Horses on repeat and it still makes me laugh.

Thank God someone's put the clip up without worrying about copyright total respect

Still the greatest comedy series ever made.
We understand you have busy lives. 3 kids, work etc. When you don't quite get the gist of a clip it gives us chance to 'advise' you. 😉🇬🇧
Yes, I was once told NEVER bite the hand that feeds! If the kids are getting too much, Felipe! Don't fancy watching you dealing with the public?

And in real life Sir David Jason (delboy) is a licensed helicopter pilot
And I believe, a licensed glider pilot.
Just watched the Stacey Dooley episode. It was very enjoyable seeing a glimpse in to your lives. You did good. Well done.👏

Brilliant as always guys - what a great channel!
I am from Redhill, so glad to be mentioned. However the TV aerial is actually on reigate Hill. Sorry to be a bore 😁😁
This is one of the very best epsiodes of only foola and horses you should watch all the box set
Del called the pub, tricked his friends with the story.
Steptoe and son the greatest series ever made, but only fools close !.
Felipe is starting to look older, he reminds me of Father Christmas more and more as the weeks go by.
Calm down
@@ThePostmodernFamily triggered, you calm down
🤣🤣🤣🤣 calm down everyone
@@ThePostmodernFamily just popped in to tell everyone how calm I am.
Lilian obviously keeps a portrait of herself in the attic 😊
Oh guys, you should have watched for 30 seconds longer to hear Del Boys rant about the hang gliding trip!
i thought he said we aint got a phone...that the punch line !!!!

the magic roundabout Zebedee i'm sure was on something illegal
You missed the bit were he said " we haven't got a phone " through chatting over the clip .
still the best sit com ever :)

Thanks 4 that never saw it brilliant 🤣
The good thing is that del David Jason really did that stunt cause he loves hang gliding
Rodney is more educated del boy is uneducated but more streetwise
Thanks guys
You should have watched a little bit more because Del's friends had a go at him for making them carry him up the stairs on the bus lol
Greatest comedy of all time
Del couldn't get out of the paragliding as he told the instructors he'd been in the special forces & had done it before
The hospital tried to ring his next of kin but couldn't get through, so rang the pub. I don't remember details of the episode, but probably something to do with them having a phone that Del sourced and it didn't work properly.
unfortunately the shortness of the clip misses the context as to why Rodney is stitching Del up
Absolutely brilliant

Saw your programme with Stacey Dooley. Made for very interesting viewing.
I found it rather shocking .

An episode you may like is when they go to Miami on holiday.
Miami Twice
Love you're channel
You stopped it just before the best line.
Hi,
I've not watched for a while.
You guys seem to be in the groove of England, hope you are well
Now your watching comedy....
Best ever
Lillian sitting there looking more youthful than most teen-agers today.
saw you guys on TV.
i was like, i know these folks, good to see you and have a lovely future x
I tried hang gliding once, got off the ground for about 3 seconds and then crashed into a nettle bush. That was enough for me. :(
Why is the sound so out of sync with the clip, it's ruined
you need to watch some box sets
My cousin is just like del boy haha
Has he been engaged loads of times?
Rodney ment to be the idiot one but then delboy does something stupid and Rodney ends up the clever one then vice versa so it’s a win win who’s dopey and who’s clever lol
I just saw you on the telly
What did you think?
@@ThePostmodernFamily it was just the advert, I've not seen the show yet. Well done to you both though, I bet the kids were thrilled.
LOUSY PR Felipe fella! A PR specialist would shake his head furiously at your intro! NEVER tell your viewers off!

You Americans must watch more old British comedy shows, Black Adder, Dads Army, Monty Python, that's to name but a few..........New Zealand.

The presenters ruined this clip by talking through the best moments!
Just don’t get it do they?🇬🇧😀

americans respond to steptoe and son
I thought i was the only one that lost interest in the later episodes. It went on for far too many years. Milked to death.
