I think this is when the show begins to hit its stride and I'll say the final episode to this season (not the Christmas one) was the turning point and the fate of this sitcom. After that, the sitcom just went into orbit on its way of becoming the Best British Sitcom (of all time)
Quite a fluke for a sitcom that nicked so much from 'Steptoe and Son'. Sullivan admitted how much he 'borrowed' from Galton and Simpson but this episode is virtually a carbon copy of the Steptoe episode "Full House".

These early series were always my favorite. After series 6 they're still great. Just preferred the earlier ones. Nostalgia maybe? First comedy I watched and understood as a kid in the early 80s.
One of the classic episodes nicely reacted to. It feels like there’s a delay between your reaction like 4 or 5 seconds to that actual video footage. I’ve noticed this in a lot of videos.
A Losing Streak feels like the first great episode, although there has been some good ones so far it really stands out. The tension during the poker game is really well done, the comedy reveals are brilliant too. I've seen it plenty of times so it's great to see your reaction, thanks!
Boycie loses fifteen hundred pounds to Del Boy in the poker match at the end of the episode. Fifteen hundred pounds was a lot of money in 1982. It would have been enough for Del Boy to have bought a brand new car with, in those times.
Good point. Also, did Del continues gambling again, go back on his 'losing streak' and lose all of the money that he won from Boycie? We don't find out what Del spent all the winnings on.
Why are there bits cut from the episode? Is it for copyright reasons? It's just really obvious to me as I've seen every episode probably 100 times. Used to fall asleep to the VHS tapes as a kid 😂
Yes its for copyright I am limited to how much of the episode I can show and how much of each scene and also to how long the segments are There is a link to the full video in the description

A few of the jokes have been highly sensored because they're 'offensive' and many of the episodes have also been altered for copyright purposes, but its still aged fantastically well. This show is very much my go to comfort blanket. Will check out your full videos :)
trigger calling rodney dave is a long running joke in the show there is 2 answers either trigger geunuinely belives rodney is called dave or he is doing it intenttionally to take the piss.
I have thought about this and I think that he does it on purpose because whenever Del mentions Rodney He doesn't ask who that is and when other people talk about Rodney he knows who they are talking about but I don't know why he does it
How come you've not reacted to Fawlty Towers. It is considered the 2nd best UK sitcom after OFAH. I prefer OFAH much more myself. Range of emotions are much greater. And everyone can relate to trials and tribulations of a family. Fawlty is my 2nd favourite but I think John Cleese and other cast members over act at times.
I haven't put Fawlty Towers on youtube yet because I was already doing many shows I did do it on patreon(temporarily offline) and it will make its way to youtube eventually
We don't want to pull on that thread or the whole episode falls apart - you also can't make a raise that is higher than what the opponent(s) had in play when the hand started to force them off the pot. They just call you with what they have left and you take the rest back.
