Wow guy, I just watched this 1st vid. of you being a help to public. Humbling to know genuine helpful people are still among us, May God Richly Bless You.
Been watching and liking your vidios for years I’m still baffled how you aren’t more watched as a RUclipsr. You would do alot of srt-4 owners a really good justice with a timing belt water pump and tensioner and maybe cam seal vidio all in one . With the mileage and age of srt-4 most people would benefit and feel more comfortable watching a thorough vidio of you doing the timing belt kit and give confidence it would be greatly appreciated hint I’m about due unless you wanna ride over and do it for me wink wink lol
Hi Monst'R Srt4! thanks man! I do have more SRT-4 videos coming, we just need to get the word out to the remaining owners out there, the views have gone down on new srt4 videos (last 3 videos got less than 1k views) but yeah man content is coming, keep passing the word bud!

You're welcome irnes! Yes there is a big difference, the scanner shown on this video can only read standard (generic) OBD2 DTCs. If you need to access other car modules such as ABS or service functions like BMS or DPF, then you will need a scanner that can support those modules and service functions, here are two good choices for that ruclips.net/video/TiLQYqwKq6A/видео.html or ruclips.net/video/IZJNuCldhS4/видео.html Hope this helps, Cheers!

Hi J! Nope, the scanner shown in the video can only scan the ECM (engine related issues). There are more advanced scanners that support AC like this one. But unless there is a code set for the AC issue, it will likely not indicate anything. And here my other video for how I fixed my AC ruclips.net/video/MrlPGQLmnu0/видео.html Cheers!
Hi Desiree! While I'm have not used the Fix Finder, OBD2 scanners function very similarly. The difference is some are basic like the one show on the video and other are more advanced like this one ruclips.net/video/f-YQNNG-Wt8/видео.html Cheers!
Hi Alex! yes this will pull the codes (DTC that set the check engine light) from the 2020 Toyota Corolla so you can confirm if the code is EGR related. Hope this helps and cheers bud!
Hi! Yes, OBD2 scanners work on vehicles equipped with an OBD2 port, which in the USA it became mandatory on vehicles 1996 and up (some cars before that had OBD2 but it was not mandatory), Cheers!
Hi S! The scan tool can be used with the vehicle in Acc (normally used to clear DTC's) or On if you need to stream PID's. Normally vechiles with push to start also let you access ACC (accessory) mode instead of fully turning on the vehicle. I would recommend referring to your owners manual, where it details the use of the PTS button and its modes. Cheers!
Hi Al! This is a basic code scanner. If you need advanced functions like accessing the CAM or crank sensor, you will need a more advanced scanner like this one ruclips.net/video/rGWSxEXFbOg/видео.html or this one ruclips.net/video/d1wFA3gsq20/видео.html Cheers!
Using the OBD two scanner, it indicates a P170, right side bank running lean. What could this possibly mean? How do I diagnose whether it’s a vacuum leak or some other component that may not be working?
I HAVE A 2002 NISSAN ELGRAND IAM HAVING TROUBLE WITH ENGINE LIGHT ON AN NOBODY CAN SCAN DIAGNOSED WHAT IS WRONG THEY ONLY HAVE LATE MODEL SCANNERS YOU PLEASE TELL ME WHAT SCANNER TO USE ON MY VAN
Hi Fred! A basic scanner like the one shown on this video can be used to scan most vehicles equipped with OBD2. That being said if the DTC you have is for an advanced system outside of the scope of standard OBD2 diagnostics such as ABS, SRS etc. Those require an advanced scanner that can support them like this one ruclips.net/video/97CUmA_B4RY/видео.html And I have more scanner reviews on my channel in the playlist "OBD2 Scanner Reviews" if you like to compare them. Cheers!
HI M Virdi! yes it can, you can see that better on the full review here ruclips.net/video/NWnYXReXF5M/видео.html at the 4:00 min mark. Hope this helps, Cheers!
The only problem with these latest obd scanners they dont work on older vehicles such as my old 1996 Volvo 850 you have to take it to a garage like Volvo to get the codes cleared believe me I have been looking for a scanner to purchase that actually works but none do if you need a scanner that will work you are looking at $1000 up.
HI Scott! correct this is an OBD2 Scanner, cars prior to OBD2 being mandatory (1996 and below here in the US) typically will not have a standard OBD2 port and will need a proprietary scan tool to be able to access the computer or an aftermarket scanner like this one ruclips.net/video/9qwJlUEWN9A/видео.html which can be prohibitively expensive for a normal person to acquire or justify unless the car being diagnosed is a high value car (collectible, has emotional value, or there is a desire to learn to and trouble shoot vehicles with a full bidirectional scan tool) But If I do find a low cost tool for older cars without OBD2 I will let you know bud!
Hi P! The price varies and changes often depending if it's on sale or not, or if they have a coupon going on. I placed the link for it in the video description if you like to check current pricing. Cheers!
@MrDim09 Hi! Correct, turning off the check engine light should be done after the fix has been performed otherwise the DTC will very likely return, Cheers!
Hi Zween! Some places require vehicles to be regularly inspected by the State for what they call Emissions Inspection (smog). But there are States that do not require vehicles to be inspected for this. Cheers!
