Did you ever figure out where you can add gear oil? I replaced the pump impellar with a motor boat engine water pump impeller from China with a little rigging.
I think might be possible to put a old style Whirlpool Surgilator Bakelite agitator on since the Whirlpool versions of these had the Surgilator on them. Definitely would make the wash action a lot more aggressive since the original Whirlpool Surgilator agitators have the wavy vanes which helps make the wash action a bit more aggressive.
Sadly all of that rotted an feel apart I fixed it I believe byy adding a rubber seal an coating around it with gasket seal it doesn't seem to leak anymore

@@kepp72 no never could it says there spose to be a nut on the side of the transmission but couldn't find it

If you re grease the pump bearing it will stop the leak there should be a felt washer between the wheel and the pump casing too
