What plastic is that? Still bright white, shiny, black, looks like excellent build quality and plastic quality... Making a product like that last so many years. And still look good. It is very impressive. (Doing good plastic is difficult. I mean, look at all kinds of cell phone stuff, AC:s, TV cases, etc, today, which just goes brittle, breaks, goes yellow... What is that plastic?... Duro plastic? Even Bakelite?

Hey, I have that exact same fan. Have a sub👍
Love the design on the old fan!
On the top of the agitator there is a screw you have to unscrew to get the agitator off , I have one just like it.
it was seized on the shaft

Is this one maybe for sale?
nope npt a single for sale sign on it come back in 40 years
As someone who is buying and is using vintage cameras as part of creating film projects, you end up having to take them completely apart to clean them and fix any molding or damage inside them that comes after years of endless use! They're very well-made work horses and can be upgraded to record in HD digital formats with a video HDMI recorder and a BNC to HDMI cable that can record up to 2.5K on some of the older higher end DXC M models! Many pros still buy them for the retro footage look, with some models being hard to get in 2024 with the prices beginning to go up higher due to the demand on some of the older DXC models! Look after it and use it well, it is great seeing someone much younger filming projects with older pro TV studio cameras!
That cable looks like an old Centronics Parallel (NOT Serial) cable for a printer. If you go to google images and google Centronics cable, I'm sure you'll see it's the same.
that makes sense maybe when the machine got unrelible they wired it to a printer so they can see the messages i guess
@@axelthefoxytechworld8024 or maybe it used a small receipt paper printer or something that would print out the time and date of each message that came in. That long ago I'm positive they wouldn't have had the technology to have it print out what they were saying because voice recognition wasn't there. So I'm guessing it's a printer for diagnostic purposes or like I said maybe it lists time and dates of phone calls missed. Again, just a thought
Glad you were able to get it too work or found out the problem

Hey! hello i have the same one. Do you know why the radio works fine but the cassette has a static sound and very low volume while playing?
Nice answering machine! Almost like the one I had hooked up with my rotary phone several years ago
@@gregorymacholl3087 ty I have another one at home with western electric brand
@@axelthefoxytechworld8024 nice 👍
My dad used to have one of these to go with his panasonic video camera. I recently just got one for myself from facebook marketplace for $20 (with the tuner). It will play a tape but it plays it slowly. I don't have any service manuals for it, so i can't check on things via that route yet... but I'm thinking that replacing caps on the motor board and in the power supply may get it part of the way back to working again. two of the springs under the metal plate that attach to the white plastic bar near the front of the machine were disconnected by the time I got it too... Once i replaced those springs, it would chew tapes a little as you ejected them... it never quite pulled the tape back in.. The springs are attached to a braking assembly. I'm thinking that all of the belt, belt paths need to be replaced too... fun!
I resurrected mine for the cat room. Incredible performance. I had no idea what I had! Had to tear it apart to clean the drains as it started leaking water into the windowsill. Now there’s an ungodly squeal upon startup somewhere. Could be the fan. It goes away in a few seconds but I don’t want to risk damaging something else. This unit will cool my whole second floor!
Mine dose it too it's th clips that hold the fan shroud you might have put them in the wrong way the motor probably needs oil I'll be serving mine soon cause summers almost over mine as well do it in the cool air so I'm not sweating balls fixing it in the summer
@@axelthefoxytechworld8024 Thanks so much for your reply! I’ll pass it on to my good old handyman friend. Amazing how these have lasted all these years. I never cranked it up because the cats like it at 78 degrees.

Nice slide projector
I had the same projector but i Sold it after I got into 16mm sound projectors very nice condition too plus the original box is even more cool! Great find👍 i love Kodak branded projectors nice camera too! 👍
I also have one, I just need the reels.
Picture is a lot better then your older videos I used to have an original 1940s rotary phone bought an adapter to use on the regular land line I also had a 1970s answering machine hooked up to the 1940s phone used it a lot until my apartment owner took out the land line from the building circuit so i gave it to a phone museum in Milwaukee
@@gregorymacholl3087 oh nice an that sucks also I have one more interesting answering machine on the way that I'll be doing a video on an seeing what it needs to get going again

Interesting that Teac makes their own oem parts inside. It's in great shapes for it's age.

you can get wringer roller replacements for them still
@@yinglyca1 idk I imagine you can get someone to profectionaly redo the river on the roller for you
I learned something here. Thank you.
Is there a trick to retracting the brushes enough to get the motor back together again? Like a dummy I knocked one off while experimenting and am gluing it back on. Seems like it would be tricky. Thanks for this video, by the way, I would not have gotten this far without it.
@@CABurtner a dentil pick to spread the brushes back
@@axelthefoxytechworld8024 Thanks for the tip! There was a gap just big enough for a pick opposite the power wires. The motor runs great. Now I'm dealing with extremely dirty heads (I think). There was a minute of passable video then it turned to snow. I've been cleaning the heads using denatured alcohol but so far it hasn't helped.Do you know of a good head cleaning product?
Hello. With what type of cable could this type of machine be connected to a modern home screen?
Any video with a tuxedo cat in it is a good video.
Not criticizing your job, you did good showing what has to done, oil is ok on the capstan and pinch roller, but grease is best to lube the pivot for the pinch roller mechanism, that is what teac used from the factory but today there is much better grease that will not dry up and become sticky, Krytox is a good choice, use it once and you'll never have to do it again,,,
I just bought one today. thanks for explaining how to clean it.
That mixer is such a dream!! ❤❤❤
You really should watch some videos here first and also study reel to reels also. Its easy notice that you donot know these nice Uhers at all and for that there is risk to destroy working equipment.
If you are wondering what that is at the 9:00 mark, that’s a oil bath air cleaner. You fill it up with oil, any impurities in the air will go down into the oil before being pulled into the carburetor. After awhile, the oil will need to be changed, air cleaner assembly cleaned, filled back up with oil. These types of air cleaners were used up until the mid to late 50’s, worked very well but can be messy. At least there’s no worry about replacing a paper air filter, though.
Hello! I’m also have before this problem, leak battery and destroy main board. Just on eBay buy same player with bad body but good main board. And just replace main board. Now working very good! This model 1989 year but still give good quality! Thanks for video!
WHERE IS IT THE YOU CONVERTED IT TO 600?
Did you ever figure out where you can add gear oil? I replaced the pump impellar with a motor boat engine water pump impeller from China with a little rigging.
