I was advised to diversify my portfolio among several assets such as stocks and bonds since this can protect my portfolio for retirement. I'm seeking to invest $200K across markets but don't know where to start.

couple years ago it bottomed out @ $100, ngl i was stressing. Everyone said it was going to $60 but it shot up to like $300 in 1-3 months. Will hold and buy more when it dips

Thanks for the video. Does the lower number of delivery have something to do with potential buyers are waiting for the refreshed models? If I was buying a model 3, I would have waited for the refreshed model.
As an investing enthusiast, I've kept aside a good sum of capital to invest for financial independence and early retirement, but my concern right now is the market rally being propaganda. Is this a good time to buy stocks, or do I wait for the crash?
The stock market can appear as a bewildering cauldron of fake news for new investors. I would advise using a CFP, giving him/her 2/3, and then investing the 1/3 on your own, but only if you have time to track stocks and educate yourself.
@@MichaelFrakes32 First two years, I lost money until I got my sea legs. My portfolio is well-matched by a certified financial planner for every season of the market, and just recently hit 7 figures after 5 years of subsequent investments. I'm retired and never leaving the market.

I tend to disagree re. the Deiveries. I think they are simply having problems making the deliveries. I ordered a 3 about a month ago and they told me my expected delivery date was 4/2-4/16. Just yesterday I checked the update on the app and it said my expected delivery date is 5/5-6/9. It would appear to me that they are having delivery issues, not sales issues.

No charts. No analysis . Great basic buy and hold , DCA strategy but could be shortened to five minutes.
You may have noticed Tesla has mentioned Energy storage so this will help earnings also Elon talked about licensing FSD. Why we are having this moderate recovery just a day later. I bought more stock yesterday as it was on sale. Even timed the dip, which was a first!

Well people said that when it was at $103 2022. 2 years later could be back to $120. Luckily Tesla isn't just a car company so that's a win for us investors. Cars won't be what gets Tesla back to 300-400.
@@YoureDoingItPeter FSD and lower cost to produce allowing greater margins and lower selling prices though, most efficient EV producer yet. The Bot and if they were to integrate some sort of solar/wind regenerative charging to vehicles could help...clear aluminum solar for windows, NIssan's solar charging paint, would be a couple of good starting points. Who knows...battery tech would need a miracle to get any better at this point.

Sell TSLA in year 2030
Just too much negative news for me right now, relating to Tesla. Like Hertz throwing in the towel because of things like cost of repairs. It's been an issue for awhile, and I can't understand why Tesla isn't doing something to bring down the cost in that regard. It's one of the main reasons I'm still waiting to buy an EV.
Because he doesn't need to yet. They sell every car they make. So there is plenty of demand for new Tesla's. The problem with this quarter was mostly the shipping. There are 50k units still at sea due to the pirates. Best bet is to wait another couple of years before taking the plunge. That or buy a second hand model and shop around to get the cheapest insurance available.

Save us Tesla shareholders? I sold out expecting earnings/deliveries Armageddon and I will buy them back plus 20%-30% after earnings print. We all know that even if earnings are good the stock will still get hammered. Wall Street is way too predictable.

Elon built Tesla.. he is Tesla. 80+% wanted his compensation package to happen. We want Elon’s vision. All EV’s are down.. he is not a short term person, he is playing the long game. I have half a million behind my opinion and added in 200+ more this month. The fuse is lit.. it’s going to happen.

The entire economy is screwy. Demand is low in every auto sector. It will come back , but slowly. The dip is still to come. It will go lower. Than I will buy.

I bought 100 shares of meta at 187 17 grand and it dropped to 87 a share and it turned in to 8grand now it’s worth 47grand I didn’t sell.

You are totally wrong. Mark my words. The worst can go is $150 if q1 eps is badly miss. That price wont stay long before it goes up $170 above. Stock dropped to $100 range in the past primarily because of twitter purchase and the borrowed loan , @elon was selling the shares. That was a panic period. Followers lose confidence with you if its not relevant.

The global economy is probably in a downturn. All EV sales are down but Tesla still sold the most in Q1 2024.

I love TESLA, and am completely sold on Elon's abilities as an innovator and an executor of industry vision. That being said, I have heard it here and many other places that TESLA is more than just car company. Yet here we are, living and dying by delivery numbers.
Maybe we could do another deep dive at some point into the other elements of the business? Because, like it or not, Elon has chosen one of the most difficult businesses out there, and has kicked ass and taken names for the most part, yet still has to deal with the facts of life in that industry. It seems to me that the energy component may someday prove to be a bigger deal.
He has to compete with China, and state backed companies there, as well as legacy auto in America, where the politics of it all can and likely will be obstacles to elements of growth for the TSLA automobiles. Despite the obvious detriment brought about by antagonizing some of these entities, he continues to do it, loudly and frequently.
Now he has several monster factories capable of tremendous output at a time when demand is slowing and at least some competitors are making inroads on the market. I have little doubt that, if any company can survive it all, it would be TSLA. Survival is key, of course, but the road to the bottom may be longer than anticipated. So, how fast is the REST of his enterprise growing?
It is no doubt great to be the smartest guy in the room, but it is a fatal mistake to underestimate the ability of lesser people to trip you up as you scamper off to grab your prize. Love the company, yet cannot make myself buy the stock because of my concerns. If auto was to begin to fall off as other elements took hold it would be easier to take the plunge. Otherwise, I am stuck with my charts of TSLA and all those pesky 'gaps' that stretch all the way down to the 'teens.
How far away is the impact of the other parts of the business on the bottom line, and what is the projected magnitude? My thanks to anyone who can help with this.

Possibly, but the Chinese are converting to EV fast and are building a lot of solar and wind. Soon their energy and transportation costs are going to be very low, it will be difficult to compete with their factories and data centers.
I think everyone will have to go EV to keep running costs competitive.

I'm sure Elon is a really smart guy but in the end that's all he is. He's spent the last year plus calling for a massive global recession without realizing it already happened, it wasn't the end of the world and he didn't notice. I believe Elon could announce he's becoming a monk in some forgotten Tibetan monastery never to be heard from again and after a brief dip in Teslas stock price everything would be fine.
Elon is Steve Jobs minus the charisma. He has a vision, surrounds himself with talented people that share that vision and demands the impossible be handed to him be Friday. The real difference is that Steve Jobs spent time around hippies, communes and cults. He took what he learned an turned it into a tech company where people will camp out for days every six months to buy a slightly different iteration of a product they already own at a massive premium. Yet Apple is fine without him.

Elon is going to have trouble selling cars if he keeps acting political like he has. The other day reddit had a thread about Tesla on the front page and there was thousands of messages about Tesla owners saying they'll never buy another one, or people saying they'll never purchase a Tesla under any circumstance because of him.
Good luck selling 10 million vehicles a year when your target audience (mostly left leaning people) refuse to even consider your products, even if they are technically better.
I don't know if it's even possible to fix this image problem now. Some people are actually embarrassed to even be seen in a Tesla at this point; they consider it to be like wearing a Maga hat.
I wanted a Tesla myself, but until this image problem is solved, I might consider a different EV company when I go to purchase.
