Purchasing a stock may seem straightforward, but selecting the correct stock without a proven strategy can be exceedingly challenging. I've been working on expanding my $210K portfolio for a while, and my primary obstacle is the lack of clear entry and exit strategies. Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
The strategies are quite rigorous for the regular. They are mostly successfully carried out by pros who have had a great deal of skills/knowledge to pull such trades off.

TSLA under $160 today so I did a little buying on top of my weekly DCA. Also bought a little SOFI and PLTR today on top of my weekly DCAs.
As long as FSD can show that it saves lives, rhe Regulations have to listen. If robotaxis are cheaper and more reliable, people would choose robotaxi. Many women prefer the privacy and safety of robotaxis over ubers.

The problem is that robotaxi won’t be reliable enough for you, your family and any insurance company in the next 5 years.
They will definitely not be cheaper. The data costs will be ridiculously expensive.

I have been a tsla bull since 2016, however the cardinal rule of investing is don't fall in love with a stock. I learned my lesson last year so this year I sold 1/2 of my tesla shares around Christmas and bought puts which has stopped my losses. Thanks for being a voice of reason as tesla is going to have a rough year and probably test 101 again.

I've been trying FSD Version 12. Very impressed. Is it perfect and will I pay $99 per month for it? No. But 2 years from now, most likely. The improvement is significant. It's a learning and reacting machine and getting better at it.

@@eternalbalance7703 because right now Tesla receives a multiple for being an AI company and energy company that sells cars. But in reality all they do is produce cars. Every piece of technology they claim to produce one day has not happened. Elon has only made promises going back to 2016. They have no solar, they have no battery storage (Panasonic makes their batteries), their FSD technology is inoperable and behind other companies, they have no working robots, Dojo is a joke, no semis, no nothing. Only cars and claims or better yet, broken promises. It only takes a small amount of research to verify what I’m saying. They are a car company with quality that never ranks in the top 3 and now deliveries are decreasing. When they are finally valued as a car company (because at some point people will stop believing Elon’s promises) the stock price will drop to $14. 😊

I agree with almost all of your points except for the robotaxi adaption part. Yes, it will take a while to get all the legislative bureaucracy ironed out initially but I'm confident that it will only take one state to start the domino effect of adaption. If one state can prove that it is safer than a human driver per miles driven, it's only a matter of time for other states to follow suit. The opposite can also happen if the technology proves to be dangerous then every state might ban it for good.

Great video. Appreciate your explanation. Maybe it would be helpful for you to somehow get a ride in a Tesla with FSD to get a personal baseline to clarify how it’s going? Their is no where Elon said the robot is coming anytime time soon. It is even a head of schedule imo. That said I agree with you on most of what you said. People don't really know they need something just like in the case. Master card, touchscreen smartphone, digital camera, cars, now EVs, AI, Robots etc. Tesla is a major player in all the new disruptive phases and that is a huge deal. I believe the spring is compressing. Time will tell tell how far it will go when released. Thanks for the heads up.

I think that Optimus will be working in the Tesla factories, and perhaps many others, long before you see robotaxies running around. You don't need FSD to happen in order for the bots to work.
These are very valid concerns...regulation is probably one of the biggest hurdles. Now imo TSLA has the tools, and resources to get there. If I think that is the case, and we've seen the company create the impossible before I don't know why it changes my thesis. No growth is linear, and they are trying to accomplish something no company has accomplished before, there will be growing pains. I think investors now take their accomplishments and efficiency for granted while expecting miracles with no problems. The company has a vision and I think most have invested because they see it coming to fruition. Imo is a mistake to not take advantage of the turbulence in the stock price now.

You make some very valid points about the RoboTaxi announcement. While Tesla PR is leading with RoboTaxi, I believe they're trying to avoid the Osbourne Effect that it's sister-variant, the $25k Model 2 would otherwise have on the current sales of their newly refreshed Model 3. Remember, just recently Tesla had great difficulty selling out of their legacy Model 3 inventory once the Model 3 Highlands version was announced. I think they're trying to avoid that same scenario from reoccuring by focusing attention on the RoboTaxi announcement instead of the $25k sister-variant Model 2.

I’m neither a bull or bear on Tesla and this is one of the best videos I’ve seen on what the fundamentals are with Tesla and its corresponding share price. Why would anyone invest in a stock on the future jam tomorrow earnings when tomorrow is so far away or very possibly not at all. BEV new sales are being sidelined for plug in hybrids. Volume is down and margins are down. FSD perfect mean owner can sit in the back seat on lap top whilst car drives him to work? A stretch considering the regulatory hurdles needed to happen. World wide scale ability is a massive stretch of the imagination. Used ev prices are taking a hammering so why buy new? All the more reason to buy used when interest rates are high and luxury goods are low on the agenda for most who are able to buy a Tesla or other ev if they wanted to. You can clearly stick to driving what you currently have either ev or plug in or petrol. There is no urgency for most to buy a new car.
Regulation can go at a snail's pace for RoboTaxi.

Luke, 💯 the event will not give anything material. However, *when* robotaxis are ready and the market can start projecting out revenue, wouldn't you expect the stock to react positively much earlier than the roll out of robotaxi actually happening?

Yep, at that time we would have something tangible to making reasonable projections . But we are a long way from that time. The problem is everyone is estimating now well before then and well before we even have step 1 completed.
@@StealthWealthInvesting Absolutely. I'm really optimistic on the progress they are making lately, but I'm slowly accepting that my forecasts about the tech has zero impacts of where the money is flowing.
My forecast might be right, it might be wrong, but the money is flowing according to how the big money forecasts (regardless if it's right or wrong forecasts). That's my lesson.

By the time the Texas Gigafactory is ready to produce the next generation platform compact EV - either the Robotaxi or the $25k EV, if FSD hasn’t reached Level 4 or 5 autonomy, Tesla can pivot at the last minute and switch plans and begin mass production of the $25k EV for sale to customers. This last minute change would all Tesla to announce the change and begin deliveries of this vehicle within weeks of the announcement, thereby avoiding the Osborn Affect.
tesla has said this stuff was going to be out soon so many times.... i am just waiting until it actually does.

Tesla has not applied for any approvals anywhere in the US where the other companies have all ready been approved.
As of now Tesla has not applied for any approvals for having robotaxis on the roads in cities that have already approved the other two companies. Austin would be the most likely city they would try to introduce it.
Uber and Lyft left our state, leaves a huge need for robotaxi.

So much value was added to the company that first came out with cruise control? FSD is not much more than a talking point. Majority of people will not be willing to pay extra for it when you get past the early adopters. But many people would purchase a $25k vehicle. BOD needs to get Elon focused on profits not dreams.

Elon May be the smartest guy in the room, but he is not the only smart guy. We all know the Robotaxi announcement was meant to stop the bleeding of the stock price. So far it hasn’t worked. Next announcement, please. How about a stock buyback? The price is so low right now that it may be worth it. Even Cathy Woods buying up millions hasn’t lifted the stock price. Time to try something else? Layoffs anyone? Oh, that’s not working either. Might as well keep lowering prices so they can at least sell everything they produce like they used to.
Their are only 10 states that have laws and/or regulations concerning Robotaxis. 40 states either have laws or regulations permitting autonomous vehicles or have no laws or regulations that address autonomous vehicles.
Not one true Tesla fan is worried about today or this year unless something catastrophically happens with the business
Unions like teamsters will never allow it because the tesla semi will crush them and they know it. Or cab drivers still fight Uber and lift imagine the robotaxi fight

if tesla made military drones I would buy hands down. fsd and robotaxis deal with so many unpredictables that I honestly do not think are possible to put on the streets. one day we will see a real class action from a group of the 400k customers who already paid for fsd and never had their car drive them anywhere and that will crash the stock even more then the earnings coming down quarter after quarter.
I disagree with the legal-political part. if FSD works and proof that it is safer than humans, it will be like trying to stop internet. once the some cities adopted it like Las vegas, will be a political suicidal not to allow in your state or municipality. we have seen that with Uber, there is a push back but in the end the benefits are so great that wind up adopting it.
Sell 25% Tesla and buy Nio . What we see first Tesla 300 or Nio 7,50
FSD needs to be statistically one order of magnitude safer than a human driver, and I think it's just a matter of time when this happens from this point. If they can prove that without a doubt in a large enough sample (people/time) - regulators will approve it. Eventhough robotaxi may be years away, next level fsd autonomy combined with cybertruck ramp up will be enough to keep the stock alive and kicking in Q4 2024 and onwards. And when robotaxi does finally arrive, the stock will skyrocket. Until then we will have a very bumpy road, not for the faint of heart.
Great job Luke..debunking all the pumper bs is what we all need. I too have stalled out buying Tesla as it's going nowhere for maybe another 3 yrs? Ill.hold, but no more buying. Good on Elon for persuong his mission and all, but my investments need a return. Thats why it's called an "investment," not a "savings account."
Robotaxi isn't the only way FSD helps Tesla and $TSLA. As soon as FSD is clearly safer than human it will drive Tesla vehicle sales so, alpng with the economy adjusting to higher rates, we'll see Tesla growing again and with higher margins due to FSD sales and subscriptions.

Tesla Energy has a crippling problem with handling vast amounts of data and they know it. The thing is, this data problem will get 100X worse trying to scale robotaxis and this is why I would personally not bother investing in Elon's robotaxi dream.
The data limits they already impose through their API are completely useless for third party energy company developers, likely due to already high cloud costs.
EVEN if Tesla's FSD is ready for robotaxis, sending 1TB of data each hour for processing from an EV won't deliver efficiency that won't come with a prohibitively expensive data subscription cost for operators for a car that would consume so much data and electricity to render it virtually pointless.
They are caught between a rock and a hardplace if they proceed with this.. for the foreseeable anyway.
Wall Street will hate it like they do with every Tesla event. Sell on the stock run up before the event and buy back in a week later and you can add 10%-15% more shares. Do this every event, you’re welcome.

Luke, a few points on why your timeline for Robotaxi is off:
1.) They don’t have to take years building Robotaxis, it won’t take that long at all. There’s only 200k taxi cars in the whole USA, which is less than half of one quarter of total Tesla current production. And, there are already several million Robotaxi capable Teslas on the road.
2.) Regulations don’t preempt technological progress, they regulate based on precedence. As it stands Robotaxis are completely legal in 40 of 50 U.S. states, and the other 10 states simply have regulations on how it can be deployed, they don’t forbid it.
3.) People will adapt to Robotaxis fast once the safety is proven. They’ll do anything not to have to ride in a car with a stranger driving. So, the adoption curve won’t take as long as you think.
4.) The rate of FSD improvement is accelerating. So it doesn’t matter if people said earlier versions were good too. All you have to do is look at the rate of new point releases and the categories of improvements and rate of disengagement. At its current pace it COULD be 100% complete in a matter of months (keep an eye on the 6 Billion total FSD driven miles milestone).
Ultimately, this is going to happen MUCH faster than people think.
Too many Teslas on the road. Anyone who wants one already has one. I'm very skeptical about this FSD. Seems like a desperate move on Elons part. He might be releasing it too early before it can be safe.
I see many Teslas on the California roads. Recently had a trip to Dallas TX. Amazingly didn’t see much teslas at all! Cheaper gas I guess.

Good concerns… I don’t know, this time it feels “different” Elon Musk “balls to the wall“ statement… I think he’s laser focused on FSD, and he’s gonna start pulling some major strings.
I think we’re going to see an acceleration this year, and the tangible reality of FSD is going to become evident and clear.
Uber can’t just operate in any city like Tesla Robotaxi do because Uber need to map all the streets so they can drive.
They gonna try to compete with Waymo and run into the same problems, ev subsidies to be pulled, they should switch to hybrid but Elon is burnt out and has way to many other things to focus on, Elon will be gone in a year and it'll be a highly niche market from there

Robot taxi needs charging stations, FSD needs customers( $100/month it's a lot) thousands of teslas sits for sale prutty cheap from 20K(reality), nobody is buying. In 10 years maybe teslas plan works, but not today.
Robotaxi won't happen this year or next. The new FSD is better, but absolutely not ready for level 4 or 5 self driving.
Sooner or later a recession is going to happen. What happens to Tesla's price when auto sales fall off a cliff for 12-24 months? I think the bottom is a ways out and much lower.

The novelty has worn off. Teslas have become stale and boring. The same ugly design year after year, and nothing new coming down the pipe.
What’s being unveiled is the next generation platform; without a steering wheel and pedals it is a pure robotaxi, with them it is a car that can become one. All teslas that support FSD can become robotaxis as well.
Your several years out thesis does not jibe with all the new events - a reorg, layoffs, change to the sales model and web site, $99 FSD, all point to Tesla going all in on autonomy now.
By the way, the energy business is very predictable and will grow to a trillion dollar business within a decade. It shares zero obstacles you have pointed out for cars.
And robots, c’mon dude, that is going to really going to make an impact. Again, zero of your obstacles for cars.

For me, robotaxi or autonomous driving is brilliant. Timeline will surely depend on when the Gov/Regulator approves of it. Then you have liability issues.....
Tesla better solve FSD pretty fast to justify delaying or canceling the $25K compact car. That would have no regulatory issues and would sell immediately.
