Purchasing a stock may seem straightforward, but selecting the correct stock without a proven strategy can be exceedingly challenging. I've been working on expanding my $210K portfolio for a while, and my primary obstacle is the lack of clear entry and exit strategies. Any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
The strategies are quite rigorous for the regular. They are mostly successfully carried out by pros who have had a great deal of skills/knowledge to pull such trades off.

Is SMCI a good buy for a beginner ?
SMCI announces earnings on the 30th. Part of the huge drop in stock price Friday was due to the company deciding not to preview earnings last week. At least that’s what I’ve read. And that may have affected NVDA’s price drop in part as well. CI’s earnings meet their expected ones from last quarter or the stock may really dump more. Personally I put down 2.3m$ on few ETFs, still diversifying. it was this time last year I made my first million with a liquid 200k. Invested it in a trader here in CA, I get weekly pay out which I invest back on long term ETF's. Google will be a huge buy for me when the market bottoms.

I was in the crowd that was afraid of some great holdings at great prices because I didn't understand short term pains are long term gains. I wish I could go back just 2 years knowing what I know now. Learned a lot over last 2 years.
The good news is there will be more opportunities in the future to apply those lessons!

I actually sold my house in CA in late 06' due to a chart, cashed out big and bought a house in the Midwest where the property values were dirt cheap and watched as millions of people in CA lost their homes and went bankrupt. I get the buy and hold concept, but completely ignoring charts might not be the best plan for everybody.
I do agree that it’s important to understand from the mental charts in the market, but I have done the best just like anybody else who has experience in the market by simply Dollar cost averaging, regardless of what the graphs say
Also have to consider buy and holding with cash vs debt

this will be a 7-10% correction and we just passed the first leg. I stayed long but bought QQQ, SPY and TSLA puts about a month ago. I Will sell the puts when we gat to a 10% correction before NVDA reports.
I am not an investor but I knew the crash was coming in 2008. I left Toronto and went back home in 2017. To bad I didn't have money to invest back then. I knew because I followed the news, not charts.
I did make big gains in 2023; however, that was not enough to offset the losses from 2022, therefore I am still not recovered from the last crash.
Understand, thats why doubling down when you have those times happen is key to recovering quickly on the back end. Also, I know many had a lot of bad stocks from 2021 hype cycle, not saying that is you, but those mistakes can take a while to recover from as well. I did the same in the tech bubble

No way Tesla Stock will reach 1000$ a share in 2030 in only 5 years thats hopium at its finest lets be realistic here 500$ not more in 2030
A lot can change in a very short amount of time. In just one year, it bottomed at $100, nearly tripled to $280, and now it’s down to $140.
Tesla is so volatile it can possibly reach 1000 by 2029 and drop to 500 by 2030
