Ironically I'm looking to replace mine already. While the performance is better the Fire OS has gotten progressively worse geared towards monetization of you and your data. It is NOT an upgrade and actually noticeably worse than previous Fire OS iterations. You used to only see ads on the lock screen which was a small price to pay for the great value, but now you're aimed towards Amazon _constantly_ when using the tablet. Everything has been locked down far tighter than before and even using Fire Toolbox across an ADB bridge in developer mode you can't change or debloat anything. Kids profiles are stringently locked to only Amazon's appstore apps so say goodbye to any sideloaded stuff for the little ones like RUclips kids. Obviously Amazon can't have that so they can instead shove their subscription to Amazon Kids+ in your face repeatedly. It's most likely all those hardware locks that prevent then from updating older tablets with the new OS. Pretty sad that I'm already looking to replace a tablet that isn't even 6 months old due to the absolutely horrible Fire OS experience.
It was basically like, when I was trying to get an Amazon Fire long ago, it was quite awhile. So I figured I'd throw caution to the wind, and go for it.
I have an 11th Generation Fire HD 10 tablet (2021) release. With some trade-ins & credit I could get a 13th generation for around $30. Is it worth it to change?
The new Fire HD 10 does have an octocore processor, but it certainly isn't the same, the performance cores are A76 cores - meanwhile the older HD 10 uses A73 cores. A75 cores are ~30% faster than A73 cores, and A76 cores are another 20-30% faster than those. The graphics is also much improved which is where that smooth scrolling of apps comes from, along with faster memory and storage.. It's much more similar to the new Fire 11 Max which uses A78 cores than the old Fire 10 devices.
u should be running this show. So, we should get the 2023 crazy price gap there, but with these 7/15/24 quotes which to get? $65 2021, $140 2023, $160 11"
Struggling to find the correct assessory to connect my old Fire Tablet 10, generation 7 to output to a HD TV. Is this easier with the new Fire 10 tablet (release 2023)? For example, my old tablet has a difficult Micro USB port that’s hard to find.
excellent video -- i only need a tablet to do a meditation retreat online(my netbook fan is noisy), and my daily virtual meditation, otherwise i'm fine with the netbook -- i can get a 7th generation hd 10(used), or a 2022 hd 8(used) for under $50, from amazon warehouse -- any advice?
Hi! For prime day the 11 is 139. I think it's the best one for sure. Next the 10 (2023) is $75. I would get the 2023 10 because it has the updated fire os.
As a Fire HD 10+ user, I see no reason to upgrade to the new 2023 model. By now, these things should have at least 6 gbs of RAM, and the new one has less than the older plus model. And the fact that they took steps back with the display is laughable. I assumed that the right one would be the older model based on the display, but no. Its the newer one, and there is a clear difference when it comes to deepness and contrast. The new one just looks cheap by comparison. I also would have considered getting a fire max 11, but the lack of an audio jack and the fact that it hasn't recieved a RAM upgrade from the HD 10+ is holding me back from upgrading. So unless they come out with something that blows my HD 10+ away, I think I'll be keeping mine.
Hi thanks for sharing! I completely get it. I use the fire 11 as a daily tablet with the keyboard (pen is not very useful yet) and playstore sideloaded. It is better than my Samsung a8 but I'm wondering if Amazon is moving away from andriod.
@@TheFrenchGlow Yeah, its quite sad tbh. I was hoping for the fire max 11 to be a more premium HD 10+, but it seems like they took some some features away (Namely the aduio jack and wireless charging, though I don't care that much about the wireless charging personally) and the upgrades in hardware aren't big enough for it to be worth the jump imo. Nonetheless, the comparison was helpful and the insight is much appreciated. Have a nice day.
If you have the official Amazon flip case, the whole top is a cutout so button position changes won't matter so I suspect it will still work as dimensions look the same.
Great video! Love how you showed the camera pictures and selfie videos. Extremely complete comparison and review.
Thank you!
thanks for talking about the cameras! Almost no one seems to do this and its super helpful🙏🏻

They're dirt cheap. Basically subsidized by Amazon because you're kind of locked into their environment to entice you to buy their crap.
Just picked this up for $65. Huge sale was today and couldn't pass it up for my twins. Should be a huge upgrade from their 2022 7 inch.
Thank you. It helps a lot.
Thanks for your video. I have the 2021 model that Im still happy with. If I was going to upgrade I would go with The Fire Max 11
I agree
How much better is it than the 9th Gen fire10? Also 25%?
Planning to buy one.
how’s the speakers?
Ability to use the Amazon active stylus is a reason to upgrade, if you do any drawing on your tablet.
What about upgrading to the Max 11 from 2021 10hd? And got it for $120
It was basically like, when I was trying to get an Amazon Fire long ago, it was quite awhile. So I figured I'd throw caution to the wind, and go for it.
Can your pair these with any external Bluetooth keyboard?
I have a 2021 HD10 plus.. Is the 2023 HD10 better?
Not much better and I prefer the screen on the hd10. Maybe we will see a bigger difference as the os matures
I see the fire hd 10 plus no longer available??
I have an 11th Generation Fire HD 10 tablet (2021) release. With some trade-ins & credit I could get a 13th generation for around $30. Is it worth it to change?
For $30, it makes sense just because new unit, new warranty, and small improvement in performance. Jmho
Thank you!

So I bought this fire 10 to replace my fire10 from 2019. How much faster is it than what was in the 9th Gen? I do notice it's a lot faster not 25%

Hi! You use the updated USB c port on the fire 10 (13th Gen) to usb port on your TV or you can stream your fire screen to your TV.
I got fire HD 10 11th Generation
Is it worth updating from Fire HD 8 2020 to Fire HD 10 2023???
hi! Yes I would upgrade if you want the bigger screen and faster load times and better camera. Functionality will be similar except for the pen.

Hi! I would get a 2022 8th Gen as it will outperform a 7th Gen and if you can, download your videos for easier playback.
thanks, i was thinking the 7th gen was older than i wanted👍@@TheFrenchGlow
Can you make the search bar white on the new one?
Yes you can
Wireless charging?
No wireless charging
Robert hd? 2k

@@uraniyumb3097 I think your logic makes perfect sense.
They changed the position of the buttons so you need new case 🤣
Ah good catch! Sneaky!

Lost me when I saw the screen was changed for the worse 😢💔
