Nailed it - I'd also recomend going over to the Library Tab, scrolling to the bottom, and customizing that so you don't see a bunch of junk. You can also then go to the download option on that screen to further just show stuff you currently have.

Good video! I use several Kindles running Show Mode and applying these settings has made the Kindles run much smoother. Show Mode is now more stable as it would frequently just run Black screen within a day or two. Thanks again, Cheers!

Black screen might be best, lol. I had to set my Echo Show 8 to night mode, which only shows a dim clock. Why? There are now tons of ads that cannot be disabled. You can get rid of some in the settings, but now they force ads for Alexa Skills(apps), and even if I ask for the weather report, on the second page, 80% of the page is ads.

Today i got my new 10 . i found your video and now my tablet is now mine not filled with amazon's promotions . i am so grateful . Great help with the settings Jason, it all seems like a mystery sometimes. Thanks. I was trying to find a way to play RUclips TV on my Fire 10 and instead of installing the Google Play app I found I could log in to my RUclips TV account on the Silk Browser and the live TV will play automatically. Just like on my iPhone.

I downloaded some music via bluetooth to my fire tab 8 but now I don't know where to find it so I can listen to them
If you get a file explorer you’ll be able to find those files by the type.
Excellent video, well presented and extremely helpful. Today I received my new Amz Fire HD 10 (no ads) and followed your instructions with ease. One thing did notice: On the section Security & Privacy > Device Administrators > I have Parental Controls ON. I turn it off but it just keeps turning back on. Is this ok? I def do not need nor want parental controls, especially as device administrator! Many thanks.
I am glad that you are finding the video helpful. That is strange that the parental controls are coming back on.
It should not be "automatically" turning on by itself. It also requires a pass code to enable it and a pass code to disable it. Unless you are entering a pass code you cannot enable it nor can you disable it.
Hey good night, your videos are amazing! I have a fire hd10, 9th gen. When ever am watching any vidoes on landscape mode, my screen immediately turn black but i could still hear the audio. Can you help? Thanks in advance
That is very strange. Maybe try to power it down and then back up and see if there is any change.
Thanks for the video. I just got a Fire 7 and it updated before I got all the way through setup. There is no "Find my tablet" any more on that screen. I wonder what they did with that option.
That's interesting. It might come back on the next update.

I think I do but not sure what video it’s it in. There is a setting to turn off search bar.

I'm absentminded enough to see the benefit in being able to find a lost tablet, yet a bit distrustful of what else Amazon might do with my location info if I keep that option turned on. either way - thanks again for all these tips!

Thanks so much for your help and expertise as I am very much a rookie of Tech! Could you help me as I have 7 audio songs in a separate file on my new Amazon Fire 10 inch tablet. By touching one of the songs the tablet will play the song. How do I get all 7 songs to play one after another and then repeat playing all 7 songs? Bless you for your ministry to us rookies!

Is there a way of any all that let's you change the app icons into something diffrent? Because on my phone it let's me change all icons differently so I wanna know if I came so this here too
I don’t think so but you could search for an app in the Amazon App Store.
@SimplySmart123 Thanks for the video. Very helpful. Do you happen to know where the "Location Services" is for the Fire HD 10 (7th Gen)? When I bring up the map app, I want it to show my current location. I've been trying to research this for the past two hours. No luck so far. Thanks in advance for any help - please don't spend moire than ten minutes on this.
Since they don't have a cellular signal I don't know if they would be able to triangulate their position like a cell phone for example but you can use wifi.
Go to your tablet’s home screen.
Swipe down the quick action panel from the top of the screen.
Tap on the cog shaped Settings menu option.
Tap on Location-based Services.
Tap on the toggle so that it says On.

Yes you can add Google Chrome by installing an APK file. I have I have a video on how to do that.

You mean the lock screen ads?
i downloaded the play store and i downloaded a game but i was clicking on this thing to earn rewards but it took me to a website and a pop up came up and said: external market links disabled then it had somthing about appstore? That is totally okay if you cant solve this problem!
Great video, thank you. How do I lock the junk app folder to keep my kids out of it please? Guessing this is easier than trying to delete the apps? (Hate that my kids can see my search history in shopping app, ruins birthdays/Christmas surprises!) thank you
Name the folder Homework or Vegetable Recipes. Even add in some homework or veggie apps so they show first in the folder. That should work. haha
I do not think it is possible to lock a folder. You may be able to search for an app that could do such a thing possibly.
