To turn off regular apps, hit round button to get to main screen, hit square button then grab and swipe each app shown open, keep swiping them , sometimes twice, up and sideways works, finally they will be closed. This guy helped me, watch his video.

If you have several open apps you can just scroll to the end of the tabs and hit close all.

I am on my kindle not touching the screen and all of a sudden it goes off to another page by itself, it is driving me crazy! Could you possibly tell me what to do, so that it could be fixed? And the topmost Universal Search Bar defaults using Bing. Can that one be revised to use Google? I have had no luck changing the default search engine on it.
You can’t change it unfortunately but Bing is getting better to soon pass Google.
How does the "Boost Game" option actually help run games faster?
It allocates more resources to those games.
It just made me laugh "And you will be a developer." I wish it was that easy. Unfortunately is only displays the developer options (which is were 'non-developers' can mess things up too lol)

Hey this may be late but the game I want to boost (Jurassic world) is not on the list of them I can boost in the cleaner app

Just got the fire hd 8 plus. Why does the Facebook app have grey bars on the side when I hold it horizontally? It’s driving me crazy because it doesn’t do that on my iPad. No matter how I turn the iPad there are no bars on Facebook. Is there anyway to resolve this problem on my fire. Thank you so much
Not sure on that unless the aspect ratio is different on your fire tablet.
Thanks for replying. Does what I’m describing sound normal. Are you familiar with having the Facebook app on the fire 8 and having bars?. I can’t seem to find anyone to compare the issue with. Maybe that’s just the way it is
Unfortunately, I don't have that device so I can't test it. Are you downloading it from the google play store or the Amazon app store?
The problem with Amazon tablets is the insufficient ram increasing your virtual ram using an app called swap no root is really helpful....

I followed your instructions (as far as I know). Now my tablet blinks purple a number of times when I do anything on the tablet, including turning pages on Kindle. What have I done wrong? Thank you.
That's a new one. Do you have a Fire Tablet?
Yes. I did drop it, and am wondering if this is the cause, though this showed up a few hours after dropping it. It had been functioning after the drop.
Sounds like a physical drop is the issue. To be sure you can do a factory reset and see if there’s any changes.

This seems like you may have accidentally turned on a settings in Developer Options, if that is the case, open Developer Options and scroll down to the 'Drawing' section, (underneath Input). If "Show surface updates" (first option) is on, disable it, and that should do the trick.
Why that setting is there is when developers are designing an app, it shows shows you parts of the screen that are doing the work that you can't see with the naked eye.

Yea. It’s in the change these settings now video. Each update it might change settings in you.
@@SimplySmart123 Will watch it again to double check. I did everything you suggested. The changing of settings fixed the "Home" page, not on the "For You" page that keeps the history bar and news suggestions populated.
I have the updates disabled.
I downloaded the Master Cleaner and it won't open. I have an older model I think it's a 7.

I don’t think that is an option in developer options but you can install gravity screens.

What is different if I set SD card to storage or portable?
Basically if you set your SD card to be the internal storage it will expand the storage of your tablet. Or the other option is to just use it to store download it items like pictures videos etc. the second method is preferred to get the maximum performance out of your tablet.
If used as storage, the SD card is treated exactly as the internal storage, allowing you to even install apps on the SD card. However, then it can't be removed from the tablet and used on another device without formatting and losing the data on the card first. Portable keeps the card separate and allows you to use the card for copying images, videos, music, etc to it, but no installing apps. In Portable mode you can take it out and plug it into another phone, tablet, or laptop and still have all the data on it intact (ie a glorified flash drive).

I have a firehd 10 tablet 2021. I have a problem with it. It shut down automatically when I play some small games ( Subway Surfers, 1945 Air force ...).
I factory reset my tablet, updates all, then install this app from amazon app store. But It still shut down again.
Before playing game, the battery is 50%, I just play for about 30minutes, it turn off, I I turn it on again and the battery is 1%.
But sometime the battery decreases normally.
That's is crazy. Maybe keep it plugged in and see what happens...
@@SimplySmart123 today when the battery is 43% and I play for about 30 minutes, the battery down to 40% and the tablet turn off. When I turn it on, the battery is 1%
Yea there is something strange going on. I would contact Amazon support and see if there is a battery issue or something.

It should be there somewhere but its possible that your particular device diesbt have that option. I don't have one to test.

It’s not a huge deal. You can always manually adjust the brightness. The lower the brightness obviously the last battery will be used.
How to screen record in amazon fire 8 hd tablet
I am using AZ Screen recorder app. There are many options out there. AZ Screen recorder is in the Google Play store or you can install the apk if you search for it.

You should be able to go into the settings and be sure overall notifications are turned on and then go into the RUclips app and be sure that notifications are turned on in the app settings.

I don’t think the notifications are as good as they are on the fire tablet as they are on a phone. But I do know that I am getting the notifications on my tablet. You may also need to check your settings in the actual RUclips app.

they changed something recently ...I can't figure out how to close all windows on the kindle...it used to be so easy to 'close all'
It depends on your device. On my device I think I just hit the square button and then I can slide up to and the apps.
How do I overclock the cpu?
I didn't think that is possible or recommended on these devices.
@@SimplySmart123 I downloaded that cleaner master optimizer and it was a waste. Memory booster found nothing and history cleanup found nothing and junk cleanup was scanning for 45 minutes before i gave up on it. That fire toolbox looks like a better option. I did clean out my cashe a few weeks back so that might be why i got no improvement.

If anyone hates the lock screen on these devices as much as I do, I suggest using the Gravity Screen app. Once you become a developer, you can use it to unlock the device by motion.
