I converted mine as well, it’s a simple process once you download the files off the web. I also bought a hard cover keyboard combo for it and Velcro’d the machine inside the hard cover, it works like a Mac booger now. 😂
@@DanLaTour12 you might as well just buy a higher end tablet if you're going to do all that with it. I just use mine for watching videos and it's barely even powerful enough for that. I kind of wish I would have spent 100 dollars more and gotten a real tablet, but it's fine for what I use it for.
I have used Amazon fire for years and always with google play. There are tons of tutorials of how to install google on your fire device; it is not very complex. I recommend this tablet.
I am buying for myself. Paramount plus works and I had it on my 2021 fire tab. I have Disney plus...oh and I think Peacock works too. I think there are ways you can 'clean up' the home screen and there are videos out there that show you how to do that. With a family of 5, two in college and 1 in high school I am on a budget and for this dad this tablet fits the bill. I had the 2021 tab and loved it. Going for the 2023 release for the 'upgrades' 😊
I got one upgraded from the 2019ish edition. It's about 1/2 as thick and heavy. Not bad. I use it to read digital books mostly and it is pretty good for that.
Great review! I just got the Fire HD 10 and it now has RUclips. Granted, it's not exactly the same as the Android version since there is an ad on the very top (like a slim stripe on the top) and you have to agree when you like comments. Besides that, it's a good option.

I didn't want someone stealing my Bank Details. I could not smash the Screen with a Hammer. I was quite Impressed !!! I only Wanted Amazon Prime, Music Unlimited, RUclips, Kindle, etc. I bought a No Adverts for £20 Extra, and I have No Adverts !!! I have the RUclips App. I got it online using Google, so I watch RUclips all the Time. I have Curiosity Stream and Amazon Music Unlimited. I really like this 10 inch Fire Tablet. It's much better than the Previous model which I bought Years ago, so it's nice to have a New One. I spent tens of thousands of Hours using the Old one so it has done well !!!

To be fair it's s serious upgrade to an older Fire 7 so when my better half broke hers and it was on offer before Xmas for just £88.50 it was hard to resist. So gor all its limitations st the right price its good if you are used to the limitations of Fire tablets if you were stop gapping between other tablets you would be disappointed.
I bought the Fire 10 back in 2021 and it is a nice budget tablet considering it is very heavy and no youtube or Gmail. I wouldn't upgrade to the 10.1 13th generation for those reasons. I am a die hard Apple fan and in need of a new iPad so I will have to further weigh my options considering the price of a new iPad that is also NOT expandable like the Fire 10. I think the fire 10 is a solid option for those who wouldn't miss youtube and other Google apps, for kids and for older folks who don't need all the bells and whistles. As an artist, I need more but I will still continue to use my 2021 Fire 10 and for youtube etc., my MacBook air M1 which I still love as I come upon the third anniversary. It does it ALL and does it really well.
There is no app for it.....but yes, you can go to youtube on the website. This guy makes it sound like you have to have the app. I give his review a one star review, he's obviously biased against it.
Thank you for this video. I wish I had found it before I purchased the Amazon Fire tablet. Everything you mentioned here is accurate. I thought my usage of my tablet was fairly basic. But once I received it yesterday and started setting it up, I found their many more apps slash utilities that I need. I currently have a Samsung tablet that is not old to me of course. But won't hold a battery charge anymore. And in fact takes about a week to get it to 100%. I'm probably will return my Amazon Fire tablet, and stick with this Albatross from Samsung until I can find a better option. Why did I think I could get away with such a great low price tablet to do the minor things I need 😂
sometime kids use my tablet. I don't want them to see the graphic icons on it such as book covers of books I'm reading, or control anything graphic or picture that's showing. How do I block that, or change what's visible?
Biggest negative is only 3 gb ram . Should have minimum of 4 . Seems like a little difference but it does make noticeable difference. Google as mentioned here can be sideloaded.

This review left me with the impression that it was a 10 minute info commercial for a fire tablet... I saw that the latest release has a 4000+ pressure sensitivity and comes with a stylus.. The review didn't cover the specs or mention the stylus nor a benchmark... Total waste of time...
Too bad these are not rootable anymore. I used to have a Fire tablet a few gens back, it was great for the price and once rooted I could install Android apk on it.
@@pinkster0078 rootable means gaining root access. As for putting IPTV on it, you're probably fine. Also I don't have a new Fire Tablet, my last First tablet is from 2017 or 18. So I don't know if they locked it down more.
I have both models. The older one plays games better. The new one freezes up and drops games. The main difference is they changed the buttons so you have to buy a new case. Smart move Amazon!

But my Amazon App Stopped working so I looked up Amazon on Google and signed in using Silk Browser, but a couple of Years laterthe Tablet packed up. There aren't many apps on Android that don't work. The Royal Mail App will not work though. When you buy a new Amazon Fire Tablet you click on With Adverts and it changes to Without Adverts. The Price is £20 more, but it's well worth it to not have adverts. I get adverts on my phone, but not on my Amazon Fire Tablets.

Apple is like the worst Of the best professional athlete. So good, but in need of humility. To load much of my music, and books and some movies on an iPad I need over 1 tb so basically a $1,000 plus tablet.
Still have my Fire HD 10 11th gen since 2022 and still happy using it even to this day

It's already on Android except without the play store. They just don't tell you that. It's on Android 11 which is why the OS looks so outdated.

Just picked one up on sale for $89. No brainer at that price IMO. Just going to use it to stream RUclips TV, Netflix and browse social media.

You can sideload android apps relatively easily so it’s not completely restricted

There are unofficial RUclips apps you can download on it. RUclips themselves don't make an app for the Fire, but the unofficial ones work alright.

The lack of apps is a real bummer. It was built by Amazon for purposes of running only on the Amazon platform it would seem. Highly discouraging.

You can set up a kids profile on Fire tablets, so they are only accessing the kids related content.
