Hi Sam, I've just discovered your channel after looking for some content on the M50. I've not long picked up mine and started getting into photography and have been having a mixed bag of results with my camera but you've reassured me that it is possible to get some decent shots with my camera. So thank you!
Hi, M50-shooter here, bit of an afterthought; what was your method for focus for this video? From the screen it looked like you were using the "smart" tracking-auto-whatever, I've never gotten it to feel trustworthy, spare your thoughts? Thanks!
Nice video as usual Sam Well the Canon m50 is amazing even in 2022 Well I do shoot with an older Canon cameras I have a Canon 30D and 1000D and 100D I think any old camera is ok for street photography even with one lens like 50 mm It is all about the eyes of the photographer and his skills Thank You Sam and it is always good to see a POV done by you Keep the urban vibes coool ….
Really nice shots Sam, I keep looking at the M50 ( when I’ve some spare cash that is ) for a second camera, that with a nice small lens would be just like a Point and Shoot but with the added bonus of knowing you can change the lens if you wanted to.
I love my Canon M50 its deadly with the 50mm 1.8f with a speed booster ... i was in London few weeks back ... was hoping I might bump into you lol ... didn't happen ... but loved London
I got a lot of great information out of this video he's marketing what? Must not be doing it great cuz I missed that and I don't think he said he was a professional he's breaking down if this camera is still worth buying. It is
Unfortunately no, the M50 does not have a minimum shutter speed option. I would suggest setting your camera to shutter priority and just set the shutter speed to as low as your comfortable with and shooting like that.
@@keshauncamon580 Could be, the kit lens is not as sharp as a prime lense, so if you crop it really much , the photo will look kinda grainy. Also be careful with your settings, keep your ISO to the lowest acceptable value in order to get the exposure you want but also limit the amount of noise (still fixable in LR, but it's better to avoid it in the first place).
I have been using the m50 for like about 10 months now and the only thing i have felt not great about is the battery it's a really small battery and it barely lasts a shoot i have to turn off my camera every single picture i take but other than that it's a great camera!
Sad story: my first ever walk out shoot lasted half an hour, I went out with half battery believing it wold last me at least a couple hours, I had to walk back home after 30 mins with my m50 completely dead (needless to say, I got a couple of spare batteries and no complaints ever since)
There is also a company called Custom Battery Grips, based in Poland. They make a simple 3D-printed addon for the M50 that solved the grip&size problem for me.
Is it worth getting? Bought my first camera which was the m50 with the kit lens and the 50mm with a speed booster but now I’m thinking I should have got the 22 instead of the 50
These people don't seem to mind be photographed by some random dude. If I tried this in my city people would be chasing me down and asking what I'm doing. Sigh.
Anybody else watching this guy's histogram when he's shooting, lots of overexposed clipping and lots of underexposed shots, that's why the light Meter and histogram are built into the 📸 to avoid such mistakes 😂, and this guy is telling the RUclips community how to shoot, give me a break... 😉
Nice video. but to answer the question is M50 worth it in 2022, the answer is NO. EFM is the worst mirrorless system available. Sony, Fuji, Olympus, Panasonic are all better at the same price point. It might be an ok camera, but for the price you can get something better.
@@OouchCharty Sure :) on ebay uk m50 mk1 is around £350 for the body mk2 is £500. I am using the m5 has some more Dynamic range at low lighting in photos! also there is the Eos M that with the new firmware can film 4k raw
Have the M50 for 4 years now and still love it. Could you do a video with the M50 and maybe a Sigma 56mm 1.4? Use it a lot and my favorite lens!
Assuming you have a mount for the camera to use that lens?
@@cooperdunn7390 the sigma 1.4 is ef-m, which is the m50s mount

I stuck a speedbooster on my M50 with a Canon Ef 85mm F1.8 which runs at F1.2. It's a street photo beast now.
M50 is perfect for traveling, mines been round the world with me
Love the shot in the station with the 3 dudes and the one of the guy 'in the taxi' nice work.

Nice and chill video, must be so pleasing to walk in london with such little camera
Thanks for mentioning and showing your settings as you shoot. 👍
I watch your videos on a big tv. I get excited when you get excited. The guy through the cab window. 👏
The thumbnails of your videos are so captivating and sharp. I use this camera for my youtube videos and it has been great along with photography!

hy opti! thx for makin a video with canon m50 again cause I'm shooting with that one. See u :D
nice video bro .what 's lense in this video?
I use the Canon M50 for everything. If you want better results get adapter and good lens + shoot raw.
You should do that on your next video
I purchased the M50 Mark ii last year. It's a fun camera to shoot with, but than the only other camera I have is a rebel t3. But I enjoy it.
I too had the Rebel T3 and just purchased the M50 Mark II as an upgrade. I love the size and am looking forward to trying it out.

just shoot with the shutter below 1/30 and pan with the subject
Only just managed to catch up with this video.
Great little POV using a starter camera, decent photos as usual 👊🏻🔥
hi idol can you make a video about the canon m50 for sports photography thank you
Can you please tell me which one you suggest for Street photography and portrait.. Fujifilm xt-100 or sony a6000 or nikon d7200..
I m using mark ll I really love it
nice shots i want that in the future.
how did you fix the delay in burst mode?
I suggest not using full manual during street photography since you can miss a lot of shots while trying to dial in your settings.
Love your POVs. Thats it! 😁👍🏼
I love London because is so photogenic city 😍😍😍
Very good video 😌✌🏼
amazing camera , i hope one day i got this camera
How close in image quality can i Get with the m100?
Does the camera autofocus in live view mode?
What setting do you change frequently wile doing the photo shoot?
I'd say most cameras are good even in 2024.. Even the older ones, still think the 70D is a good option for many.
What focus mode are you using
Sick video looks like a good camera I’ve never shot with cannon being a Nikon guy🤣. 🔥🔥🇬🇧
3:39 THIS! It's honestly so f- annoying! Cool video man, loved the shot with the construction workers. Also the merch is looking clean!!!
Increíble 🤯 👍👍👍👍 saludos desde México
Will u upgrade ur presets before i purchased it😅😅?
Have the m50 for two years, it’s amazing 🙂
It is rightly said "The best camera is the one you can afford"

Is it possible to set the minimum shutter speed for Canon M50 M2 camera when using Aperture Priority Mode?

How do you reduce grain with the camera? When I crop photos to be in story mode they seem very grainy. Any recommendations?
using the stock lense is that why?

You are a proof that camera is just a tool and the quality of image has more to do with the man (or woman) behind the camera than the camera itself.
