Well done on this. I’ve been a photographer for 5 years and am already familiar with most of this info. BUT, I must say, your videos are VERY easy to digest and I will be sending this to my shooters ✅👍🏾
Use these set lenses. sigma 30mm f1. 4, canon 55-200mm and the canon 28mm macro. Ideaal combination. Only downside is that the 55-200mm needs always two stops + compensation in light and has severe vigneting going on, but can be solved in light room. One remark the 55-200mm lens has a insane stability feature. You can go up to 1/20 shutter speed and get still sharp pictures.
Just got my Canon M50 mark II, this is one of the best explanation ever to understand the basis of camera settings ever and gets confidence to click in Manual mode. P.S. i too felt that special scene modes are just a gimmick.

Sir you make great videos with clear and concise information. Seriously great job. I liked and subscribed. Just bought my beautiful bride the M50 Mark II. So very excited. Thank you so much!!!
Been waiting for a video like this from you! Thinks for explaining and showing so that we can see exactly how the photos would come out with the settings! I’m going to try these tips as a beginner! Can you do a video on best settings for vlogging indoor?
Great videos........I lost my Nikon a900...it was basic but I liked it. So when I wanted to buy a new camera I knew it was time to step up a bit and your videos really broke down for me why the Canon M50 Mark II was the best option. Now I will definitely be using your videos to learn how to use my new toy. Thanks soooooooo much for great content.
Been trying to get some new lenses and got a couple that are definitely interesting. A wide angle and a super close up lense, but they only run on a couple of the dial settings and learning the triangle I think will help a lot
Great video! Will get the Sigma lens using your link. Best video on the subject. Can't wait to shoot my new RUclips videos using the Sigma. Thanks for the recommendation.
Hello. On your display , press Q in the top right. Then press the third box down on the left which will give you choice of single shot, high speed, low speed and times. Choose high or low depending on the speed you want. Now just take photos, when you have your focus, hood down the shutter button and it will take continuous shots. Or go to menu, page 1,go down to drive mode then select high or low continuous
I just found this guy channel since im looking for more information about the canon m50 mark i. I like his professionality to explain. NEW SUB. I would like to know if the canon m50 mark i, is a recommended camera and how much should be woth paying for it? Or should i wait for a new version. Its going to be my first camera
Best Buy allows people to try 15 days of the cameras they sell or 60 if you purchase their special coverage deal and I chose to try the m50 Mark II until the R10 comes out since they aren’t in stock yet. I feel like I made a fairly good choice especially since it comes with a pretty decent kit. I like that the adjustment for the exposure and other settings are touch screen.
For a beginner in photography which is better to start? Sony apsc or Canon apsc? People have said to me everything, that Canon is better for photos and Sony for video, that long term Canon is cheaper because EF lenses, that Sony is better because there are a lot of E mount lenses, that Canon colors, Sony dynamic range, etc... I will take a photography course and if I can stick with the hobby maybe will go for a full frame camera, so for me the long term upgrade is important. I think about a very cheap Sony Nex 5r (or A6000) with Yongnuo 50mm 1.8 and kit lens or Canon M200 (or M50) with kit and EF adapter with 50mm 1.8, 40mm 2.8 and other cheap lenses. What do you think? Sony or Canon?
Yeah that's a tough one. I am a cannon shooter that also wants to buy a sony so the answer is not that easy. What I can say is that if budget is a factor then you can't go wrong with the m50.
I have the m50 mark ii. Standard 15-45mm lens. What do you suggest for a ‘’nifty 50’’ and does the sigma you show need an adapter? Also a good zoom lense
Yes the Sigma needs an EF to RF adapter. Once you have the adapter you could use the EF 50mm f1.8, The Sigma 18-35, and for a zoom the Tamrom 24-70 would be great. Some are very large lenses on a small body like the m50 but would work none the less.
As a beginner into photography world, I am thankful for this informative video. I am also looking to get telephoto lenses can you please make a video for the budget telephoto lense. I am using Canon M50 Mark2
Thank u for detailed video, really helpful for a beginner like me, what aperture would u suggest for product photography in indoor well lit place with ring lights?
I would shoot wide open. Meaning opening the aperture all the way. This way you don't have to crank your ISO up as high. This will give you cleaner video with less grain/ noise.
Thanks for the information sir, Your video is so nice and I learn a lot from it I'm trying also at my end using your technique with the used of my old camera and Here I am hoping for some giveaways
Thank you for this great video! It's very helpful. I just bought a sigma 18-35 mm lens and I have a commlite adapter to attach lens to cannon EOS M50 Mark ii. It shakes a little while holding, not sure if that will go worse from there. Any recommendation/suggestion you may have for a lens adapter that just fit right or don't shake ? Thanks in advance!
You are welcome. I've used that combo for a few years and there is a little wiggle but mine never got worse. About a year ago I switched to the Meike EFT-M drop in variable ND filter adapter. That one is much better as it also gives you built in ND for all your EF and EF-s lenses.
Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge! I got this camera really to improve my photo abilities and I've been annoying my wife taking so many pictures in manual mode just experimenting with different settings of the exposure triangle. I've taken some very interesting shots just playing with the light. The auto focus can be a little aggravating focusing on objects just in the fore or background of my subject.
You are very welcome. Once you get comfortable with the exposure settings try out manual focus with focus peaking turned on. You might like it better than AF in may situations.
I smashed that like button hit that subscribe and rang that bell. I'm so glad I found your channel. As a beginner learning all this cool stuff from you is so helpful thank you so much. I look forward to watching more content from you.
thank you Fulaan ... I have just bought a M50 Mark II - mainly for use of videoing school assemblies, functions etc., where the kids seem to think they have GOT to have the place in darkness - therefore, very hard to photograph or video. I have a 55-200 mm lens as well so what settings are best for this scenario? I realise I need to open it right up to get more light. thanks
You are welcome. Yes, opening up the aperture all the way will help but there really isn't any real substitute for shooting with more light. I recommend the Godox sl-60w for people that are on a tight budget and the Amaran 100d for those with a slightly higher budget.
Hi, while taking photos in night in manual mode, the flash is little late and the pics are not good. While the same in auto mode, the flash is at the perfect time and the pics are good. Could you tell me what am I missing in manual mode?
Been iffy about getting the M50ii I got a Sony a6000 and I thought it worked well but I felt canon was better when it comes to keeping color in whatever I’m shooting. But you definitely helped me in my decision lol.
Yes it is applicable but the shutter speed has a slightly different application for video. Check out this Vid for details relating to video ruclips.net/video/GNqmimho7fk/видео.html
program mode is far from useless, say you want a specific aperture, it then will alter your shutter speed based on that to get the perfect exposure or the other way around, set your own shutter speed and let it take over the aperture for you you can also set the iso, and ofc the exposure triangle, and the camera will just handle everything that you don't really care about for your scene obviously when you're doing landscape or something that doesn't move, manual is king, but for portraits, animal, sports, etc, it's a lifesaver, keep your aperture open for portraits and let it do the rest, or lock your shutter speed high for sports and wildlife and let it handle aperture
It seemed to me like it was just another way to cycle between aperture priority, shutter priority and auto ISO w/out having to change the mode on the dial. Maybe I am missing something though.
@@FulaanCreative well it's just all 3 into one, except you can have 2 at the same time, you can control iso and shutter, or iso and aperture is it really necessary? probably not xd but I use it more than any other mode because I do a lot of portrait sessions and street photography, and it just makes everything so so much faster, no messing around with dials because I already have my aperture to open, all I have to do is point, pick an ISO, and shoot, it's also good for night photography because I can just set my iso to 3k, aperture to 2.4, and I set the exposure to -0.25, it'll then just pick the perfect shutter speed for me (usually fast enough for perfect and clean shots) very long answer but I just love and live for program mode lmao
@@tysa7443 Gotchya. Yeah it's not useless I just didn't really mention it as it seemed like it was similar to the other modes. Thanks for sharing your perspective.
Not sure I understand your question correctly but I'll try to answer from a few different angles. EF-M and EF-s are both APS-C lenses. EF are full frame lenses. With an adapter you can use both EF-s and EF lenses on the m50. So the Ef-s equivalent to a EF-m 50mm is a EF-s 50mm because they are both APS-C lenses. To find the EF equivalent you would simply multiply the focal length of an EF-m or EF-s lens by 1.6x that would give you the full frame equivalent. So a 50 mm Ef-s or EF-m lens is really going to give you about an 80mm field of view (50 x 1.6). So the closest EF equivalent would be the EF 85mm. Hope that answers your question.

Thanks man. I appreciate it.
Very nice. More guidance on composing and lighting will be highly appreciated. Thank you
Sure. I'll try to touch on those subjects. Thanks for the feedback.
I LOVE this guy for ONE reason, he gets STRAIGHT to the point.

Sir you make great videos with clear and concise information. Seriously great job. I liked and subscribed. Just bought my beautiful bride the M50 Mark II. So very excited. Thank you so much!!!

For real
Love from India ❤ most detailed video on internet
Thanks man! I appreciate that.
Been waiting for a video like this from you! Thinks for explaining and showing so that we can see exactly how the photos would come out with the settings! I’m going to try these tips as a beginner! Can you do a video on best settings for vlogging indoor?
Thanks! İ an glad it helped. İ will try to address that topic. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Amazing video Fulaan!
Thanks!
Thanks Tamara! I appreciate the kind words. Glad I could help.
@@FulaanCreative The kind words are much deserved. I am going through your playlist now for the M50 Mark II. So many gems!!!!!! Thanks again.
You are very welcome.
So much good information here. Ill save this on a list.
I'm glad it was helpful.
Muchas gracias por la buena explicacion , excelente video
De nada
Been trying to get some new lenses and got a couple that are definitely interesting. A wide angle and a super close up lense, but they only run on a couple of the dial settings and learning the triangle I think will help a lot
Yes for sure, it's the basis of photography and being comfortable with it is extremely useful.
Great video! Will get the Sigma lens using your link. Best video on the subject. Can't wait to shoot my new RUclips videos using the Sigma. Thanks for the recommendation.
Awesome! Glad I could help. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Hi Fulaan, thanks for this very helpful video. I recently purchased M50 mark ii, using it for taekwondo photography. How do I go to burst mode?
Thanks! I would get the new canon r50 instead. If I were to buy an M50 I'd get a used one and wouldn't want to pay more than $300 - $350 for it.
Saving this to watch again! Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
Oh yeah for sure. Don't let the price tag fool you. The M50 is still an awesome camera.
What's up guys? If you want more M50 II & M6 II videos make sure to check out this playlist ruclips.net/video/mQ1-IIh_h60/видео.html
Hey bro, I have watched few videos you have done, great work you are doing, which camera would you recommend for commercial photography
@@FulaanCreative thanks! i will decide in the next week. Maybe i'll keep both systems 😅
Appreciate the easy class on the settings and the extra information , as some one new looking to get into photography it's a tremendous help , thanks.
You are very welcome. Glad I could help.
You explained this soo perfectly man, thank you 🙏🏼
Thanks! Your very welcome.
Really helpful video. Thanks!
You're very welcome
I have the m50 mark ii. Standard 15-45mm lens. What do you suggest for a ‘’nifty 50’’ and does the sigma you show need an adapter? Also a good zoom lense
Yes the Sigma needs an EF to RF adapter. Once you have the adapter you could use the EF 50mm f1.8, The Sigma 18-35, and for a zoom the Tamrom 24-70 would be great. Some are very large lenses on a small body like the m50 but would work none the less.
I took astrophotography with the M50...I say it took very well....even done a timelapse for it....
Awesome! Post the link if you like. I get many people that inside about astrophotography with the M50 but I've never done it.
As a beginner into photography world, I am thankful for this informative video. I am also looking to get telephoto lenses can you please make a video for the budget telephoto lense. I am using Canon M50 Mark2
Thanks! I have a video on the ef-s 55-250. That should do very well for you.
Thank you my friend fornthe tutorial you share
You are welcome. Thanks for watching and commenting.
so glad I found your channel love the detailed information and education.
Thanks Angie! I appreciate the kind words.
Great video. I needed the explanation
Thanks!
Thanks for the information sir, Your video is so nice and I learn a lot from it
I'm trying also at my end using your technique with the used of my old camera and Here I am hoping for some giveaways
Hi. Very good movie... lots of usefull infromation, thank You very much!
You are very welcome.
The best tutorial ever
Thanks Leni! I appreciate that.
Very well explained. And great value thank you
Your welcome. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@FulaanCreative Thank you so much for your quick response!
Thanks so much Raymond! I appreciate that man.
Very informative and so to the point. Thank you.
You are very welcome.
I love the video that comes out of my M50
For sure, pix look nice too.
thank you Fulaan ...
Best explantions though I will have to rewatch. I have cameraphobia from all the settings.
Don't sweat it. With a little practice you'll be alright.
The “ppprrrrrrr” made me suscribe to your Chanel! Haha good explanation!
Lol. Thanks!
Love this camera but the lens and the adapter is unavailable can u plz tell a way to get lens and adapter
Great content, i love these breakdowns
Thanks. I'm glad it was helpful.
Do you have a video on your current setup tour? - Need some inspiration for my upcoming upgrade later this year.
I don't at the moment but will hopefully do one soon. My setup is pretty minimal but hopefully still might be interesting.
@@FulaanCreative thank you. Minimal is the new fancy. ❤️
For real, nice one! Sounds like a video title.
Your channel is very good my friend, very useful tips by the way! thanks!
You are welcome Raul! I appreciate that.
Hi, while taking photos in night in manual mode, the flash is little late and the pics are not good. While the same in auto mode, the flash is at the perfect time and the pics are good. Could you tell me what am I missing in manual mode?
Hmm.. Not sure, i never use the flash. If i find anything I'll let you know.
Great job explaining 👏🏾 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thank you Anitha!
is this a good camera and lens for real estate photo and video?
With the right lens and a gimbal it can be good but it wouldn't be my first choice for real estate work.
Bro thank you so much!!
Do you need to tap the screen when on zone auto focus or will it focus on itself
no, it will focus on whatever falls in that area.
Been iffy about getting the M50ii I got a Sony a6000 and I thought it worked well but I felt canon was better when it comes to keeping color in whatever I’m shooting. But you definitely helped me in my decision lol.
I'm glad it was helpful.
is the triangle(iso, shutter, aperture) only applicable for taking photos? what about taking video?
Yes it is applicable but the shutter speed has a slightly different application for video. Check out this Vid for details relating to video ruclips.net/video/GNqmimho7fk/видео.html
@@FulaanCreative thanks
You are welcome
program mode is far from useless, say you want a specific aperture, it then will alter your shutter speed based on that to get the perfect exposure
or the other way around, set your own shutter speed and let it take over the aperture for you
you can also set the iso, and ofc the exposure triangle, and the camera will just handle everything that you don't really care about for your scene
obviously when you're doing landscape or something that doesn't move, manual is king, but for portraits, animal, sports, etc, it's a lifesaver, keep your aperture open for portraits and let it do the rest, or lock your shutter speed high for sports and wildlife and let it handle aperture
It seemed to me like it was just another way to cycle between aperture priority, shutter priority and auto ISO w/out having to change the mode on the dial. Maybe I am missing something though.
@@FulaanCreative well it's just all 3 into one, except you can have 2 at the same time, you can control iso and shutter, or iso and aperture
is it really necessary? probably not xd but I use it more than any other mode because I do a lot of portrait sessions and street photography, and it just makes everything so so much faster, no messing around with dials because I already have my aperture to open, all I have to do is point, pick an ISO, and shoot, it's also good for night photography because I can just set my iso to 3k, aperture to 2.4, and I set the exposure to -0.25, it'll then just pick the perfect shutter speed for me (usually fast enough for perfect and clean shots)
very long answer but I just love and live for program mode lmao
@@tysa7443 Gotchya. Yeah it's not useless I just didn't really mention it as it seemed like it was similar to the other modes. Thanks for sharing your perspective.
what is the compatible lens for EF-M mount vs EF-S mount? for example: EF-S 18-55/ 50/ 10-22/ 55-200mm?
This video is fantastic. I learned a ton. Thank you!!! 🙏🏼👊🏼
