Childhood living
Is easy to do
The things you wanted
I bought them for you
Graceless lady
You know who I am
You know I can't let you
Slide through my hands
Wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
Wild, wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
I watched you suffer
A dull aching pain
Now you decided
To show me the same
No sweeping exits
Or off stage lines
Could make me feel bitter
Or treat you unkind
Wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
Wild, wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
I know I dreamed you
A sin and a lie
I have my freedom
But I don't have much time
Faith has been broken
Tears must be cried
Let's do some living
After we die
Wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
Wild, wild horses
We'll ride them someday
Wild horses
Couldn't drag me away
Wild, wild horses
We'll ride them someday
The songs that aren’t originals, the songs that you choose to sing and share lately- they’re the songs I go to time and time again to help reaffirm my constitutions and the position I hold. Beautiful sad times but I’d rather be here with y’all than any other time.
Couldn't have said it better myself ❤❤❤❤❤
I'll agree with that sentiment to a point. Mostly because it's a long way to say that misery loves company. The problem with regressing back to those same old songs is that they put you in that same mindset. Nearly any version of "Wild Horses" makes me want to belly up to the bar and make eyes with some graceless lady usually on the outs with her husband. I stopped listening to playlists and my favorite songs because they led to those affirmations of who I was and needed to evolve from. There was a time I'd gladly lay around a smokey hotel room for a weekend drinking whiskey with a woman like you and a do not disturb sign on the door listening to those songs. Crying on each other sharing other bodily fluids... Well, the party's over and it wasn't as fun as I'd like to imagine it to have been. Need to move on.
We’ve got some wonderful people in our tribe.. ✨
Thats some gay pride right there
Keep on keepin on!
This world needs you in it, too. 💚
Well, look at you 96.9 thousand subscribers, in such a short time. Standing in a tick infested patch. Doing what comes naturally to you. Young man you are well on your way to becoming everything these folks say you’re going to become. I’m going to have to agree at this point Jesse. I’ve known you for a while now you just don’t know it. Follow this path, it’s the right one…
This kid should have 20m subs by now. I know why he doesn't, do you?
@@mikeyo1O1 i'm curious about your hot take on this :^)
@@genesises i'm askin the questions here, chief.
@@mikeyo1O1 no, I don’t know why he doesn’t. I’m guessing it’s political?

Jesse Welles is an American treasure!
Take care of that voice young brother. We’re gonna need it.
Don't think I've ever clicked faster.
More stones covers please.
I would die for a Sweet Virginia cover
Great cover.
I love that Jesse's still dropping stuff so regularly. I have listened to Hells Welles probably 30 or 40 times since it dropped. I hope he can make enough to pay his bills and live his life with as little worry as possible (without changing that hunger for artistic expression).
i'm really sad i don't have many friends who like this kind of music, it's a shame i have no one to share this to, I love your songs to the moon and back man, all the love and support from Romania!
What if i told you, you can make friends through his music?
@kaiz0099 I feel that, if you live your life doing what you like, you will always find people to relate to in the most unexpected places, so I agree with you :)
We hear you. We share Jesse's music together.
Here, you are among friends. ❤
We’re all jammin with ya from USA❤️
Jesse blows that harp like it's his last breath. A lot of mention of the guitar, lyrics and vocals...and rightly so. But they aren't the only things spittin' truth. It's a "Hohner' to discover Jesse and his magic ;)
brooo im so happy thats he’s getting all this recognition, ALMOST 100K!! he deserves it fully
I wish fields where I live had Jesse.
Wild Hoarse Voices couldn’t drag me away from another Jesse Welles debut. Hell yes !!!!
I hope you get everything you’re looking for Jesse. I’m rooting for you.
I wish nothing for this man but success and the time to make more music. Independence Day is up to 35K views. 34K of them are mine. I love this cover, and I'll run it for 34K more times. Great music!
Nicely done Jesse!
Thanks Jesse. Great break from the madness.
❤👍✌🏻🤙🙏🏼🇨🇦😊
He's the voice of the common man all over the world. I love his music, god bless this man.
Bro you literally just dropped Hells Welles and you're still going!? Absolutely legendary, please keep sticking around
aw jesse, this was her favorite song, i proposed to her while the stones played it at western springs. dude. gram parsons is my man.
Yep, love Kieth, and Gram was/is such a fine songwriter singer. I suffered a dull aching pain on September 19th, 1973, the day Gram died. I listened to my LA Underground stations to the search for Gram’s body. I told my husband about Gram from 1978 until 1995, when we were at the Seattle Tower Records. I sled a guy working there if that had any Flying Burrito Brothers, he said nope but we just got Fallen Angels tour with Gram and Emmylou, he said it was “godly”, we got it and my husband and children became hooked on Gram and Emmylou on the drive home from Seattle, love at first listen, just as I fell under his musical spell, long ago.❤❤
@@jimrebr my dear friend richard passed last year but he had worked for herb cohen in the 60s and had done some roadie work for gram and the flying burritos, he is the guy who really turned me on. yeah gram and emmylou were like fire and moonshine. i still struggle to listen to love hurts without shedding a tear for all those bitches i left in my wake. i guess my neighbors are gonna hate gram by the time this week is up, can't be helped i guess. nice one cuz.
I have such a damn crush on this magic man. That harp melts my heart 💓🎶⚡🧲📻
great job Jesse on a great Gram and Kieth piece...
Nice rendition, sir. Beautifully done. Not note for note, and done with the feeling only Mr. Welles could provide.
Great tune
His cover choices tells much about him. Love him.
Wild wild horses' will ride them one day... I found these lyrics 50 years ago, such good memories!
the acoustic and harmonica bring out what a painful song this is
I'm frome California and mostly dig Jazz, Funk and Soul. But this kid is so great I listen to him almost every day. He's SO. F'ing. GOOD!!
Musically one of the best songs I've lately heard.
Your music feels like a deep breath after hyperventilating ❤
Killin it Jesse!
oohwee lifes good, i could smoke these cigarette's and listen too you all day long boss
Best cover of this song I've ever heard. That little Stella really renders the perfect tonal partner for your lyrics. You aren't just a phenomenal lyricist and singer, you can play the shit out a guitar. And my man plays the harp and lays it down beautifully, ala Neal Young or Bob Dylan.
This is beautiful - one of the best songs ever written.
If anyone who sees this is into bluegrass, I’d highly recommend listening to Old And The Way’s (Jerry Garcia David Grisman among other’s bluegrass outfit) it is stellar
Raise a glass for Jesse’s incredible version going into the annals of great musicians who cover this song
Agreed
As in ‘Old and the ways’ (band)? I couldn’t find that online?
@@vlads.1 if you’re searching here on YT try searching for “Old And In The Way” (full album 1975)
Should come right up my friend ☺️❤️
Your voice is perfect for this one.
Holy shit man. That's one of the best covers I have ever heard.
Best version I have heard...bare none.
Keep going my good man!
One of my favoit stones tune. I played that in my set for years.
Just remember, unless he directly tells us otherwise, jesse welles was never suicidal.
Jesse recording great music is becoming a constant of the universe. Well done with this one Jesse.
Bro brought me to tears with this one
This song does it every time ~
Wild Horses is one of my favorite songs of all time thank you for this man. A Gram Parsons cover if possible would make my day, you could take your pick which song.
WOOOOOO ONE OF MY FAVORITE SONGS!!!!
Killin hard, Keep Rockin Jesse!!👍🤟🤟👍
Yes, good song ❤🎉
I like this kid. The heavy metal bangs and not giving a fuck what forest he's going to rock out in... Great cover too.
Awesome brother!!! Keep rocking!!!🤘🏻🎸🤘🏻🔥🔥🔥
Another day, another Welles best song shared with us. In awe of your repertoire and commitment to fresh entertainment Jesse.
You're a bright shining light during a dark night of soul here in the US. ✨💙
Thank you!
Layin' back,
got my eyes closed
and this cranked up.
F - - kin' Beautiful!!!
Same. All we can do is close our eyes and remember the better days.
Ive watched and listened to evey thing Jesse has posted. Totally a fan. His pocket is rock solid. His phrasing is sublime. Love his playing and his voice.
Beautiful rendition of this song, absolutely touching. You can hear the strain in his voice and how this song has touched him. I love Jesse Welles.
Incredible. The full package
Hey man, I was a crust punk years ago, and all of your music really reminds me of us all busking on the corner broke as hell and whatnot. Great stuff, all of it. Specifically The Poor, I liked that a ton.
PLEASE submit something to GemsOnVHS. You'll win. I'm pretty sure. And then you'll be hobo-famous, and isn't that all we could ever hope for? Lol best wishes man. Love your jams.
GemsonVHS is absolute trash now unfortunately. Hes got too big for his britches and lost the point of why he started.
Let's get this guy some Subs. He's not like anyone else.
Let's get this guy a guitar !!
@brin57 if you're getting him a guitar, why not start by asking him which guitar he believes to be best 4 him?
It's such a beautiful song. It's one of my favorite Stones song ❤
Awe, don't hide the chords, bro. I love this tune, don't hide the path, lead upon it! You're words are golden!
Keith is gonna love this.❤
Love his work and simplicity. Greetings from a portuguese living in The Netherlands
Thank You.
Jagger would be proud
The coolest thing is that these are forever. We're going to share this with someone 50 years from now and they'll love it too.

Love The Rolling Stones and Jesse sang that song beautifully!
TYFS!
Thanks. One of my favorites.
Beautiful
The Neil Young of this generation
The bob dylan of 2024 ❤
It’s not easy to cover a classic song really well. You pulled it off beautifully Jesse.. I really enjoyed listening to that and got into the song . Great interpretation.
I get pissed every time I see you play that Stella I had the same guitar I let my nephew borrow it to learn three chord songs I never got it back I miss that little Stella😊
Finding your way man, your doing great. Keep looking into your soul and never look back ,you have a special gift ❤
i love ur music man thanks for everything !
Mr Welles with the stones!!!! My man!
On loop. Favorite version of this song I've ever heard.
Nan is a musician. Banger originals and great renditions. Im a fan now
I love these songs. Makes me feel like a cowboy riding his horse on the way to work at a saloon when really I'm on the way to my dispensary job in my Nissan Versa
Wow that was really beautiful, the harmonica really adds a whole other level of emotion to this already hard hitting song 🥹
Keep being amazing brother!
that harmonica sounds so beautiful🤤
Another incredble song
You're version is excellent 👌👍 thanks
Yeah.. You're my new favorite Artist. Everything you put out is golden. Much love from this guy going through a hard time.
Omg this song and your voice ❤
You are à great artist à model for me at 59 years old.😊
I love this song, soooo much, love the Stones, it was extremely cool of Mick to offer Keith’s wonderful song to Keith’s best friend, Gram Parsons to record and release prior to their own version. It was how I first heard it, by Gram, Mick’s very smart, he got Gram to rewrite Honky Tonk to Country Honk, as a trade for letting Gram release his cover of Wild Horses first. Thank you Jesse, I have loved this song since I was 14. We were at a great tattoo place here in Burlington,Washington, my husband was getting the Compass Rose I drew for husband’s 40th birthday re-inked yesterday, Jim Croce came on the radio and I said it made me sad that Jim Croce died the same day as Gram, September 19, 1973, and people were so busy mourning Croce, that most people didn’t notice or care that Gram died, then his body was stolen by his Road Manager, Phil, who tried to do what Gram told him how he wanted to be burned at Joshua Tree. I cried for days when Gram died & his body went missing, I was glued to KMET underground rock station in Los Angeles. I hope Gram got to do some living, after he died.❤❤❤❤
Love the album!! Been following since your first RUclips upload ❤
Awesome! Most people here are more comfortable listening to this guy's covers instead of the real truthful lyrics of his Originals.
great stuff
nice job for a tough song to master...
Fuck man, I swear to god. I was just having a very important heart to heart with my dad, and this song was playing while we were talking. I get on youtube and this is the first thing that I see. You are the gift that keeps on giving Jesse.
This song tears my heart out. 💙
Incredible
Great version.
Excellent job of that classic man hats off in respect. You have soul man, lots of it, at least nobody took that!!
Not a big Stones fan but there's a few I like. This is one of those.
flying burrito brothers!
You give me hope for the future.
Thanks, Jesse
Right On !! Special song for Me...I remember song in the Tahoe Sun w a Friend Long Dead, just before he died, we went busking one more time......RIP Brian " Rockstar " Thomas !

I'm just speechless... Absolutely beautiful my brother 🙏 you are by far the best musical artists I've heard in a long long time❤️ Thanks from all of us for every single song...keep em comin😊
He even has the Stones look. It's one of my favorite songs in the world, and the cover is awesome.
I bet he could do a good cover of "ooh la la" by the faces.
Favourite stones song
Great cover.
Always a pleasure.
