    This is the last piece... for a while, for the farm designs I have been developing. I put a different twist on a popular concept. I moved all the supports for the silo to the inside. This grain silo is the perfect piece for the farm designs I have been developing. It is clean and very detailed. This video shows me putting the piece together and the Roly MK2 cutting it out. I included a lot of music to entertain you, instead of listening to me throughout the assembly and cutting. Hope you enjoy!

    Now all you need is a corn crib attached to the barn, and some animals.

    I think I would have used my full repertoire of 4 letter words at least 3 times during the assembly.

      Now you have an idea why it took me all week to get a video out. This was a challenging design. Had to walk away from it more than I like. It was designed and redesigned several times. But I am super satisfied with the end result. But few will fully appreciate the work that went into this piece. It seems so simple. Far from it.

    Looks great! You could modify that into a lighthouse.

      shhhh! I've got a round led puck to use in a lighthouse design. Don't tell anyone.

    Great work. Any thoughts about making this a candy dispenser? I have printed ones with my 3D printer. 4 different designs. See you at 9 PM

      I have not. But that shouldn't be too difficult. A simple gravity feed dispenser. The candy could exit the door of the shed.

    Good, professional production. Thanks. ??How did you calculate the curve on the roof for the work shed?

    • @HoboWithWood
      @HoboWithWood  22 дня назад

      That was one of the simplest hurdles of the design. One of the first things that was decided was the diameter of the column. I used a circle of that diameter to cut the roof profile. I plan to show that in tonight's livestream.

    Another great project Steve. How did you design the living hinge for the roof?

    • @HoboWithWood
      @HoboWithWood  22 дня назад +1

      That was a combination of three different living hinges created with the circular array. I plan to talk about that in tonight's livestream.

    The old concrete silos had the support bands on the outside as did the wooden silos.

    • @HoboWithWood
      @HoboWithWood  23 дня назад

      Yes, they were. And there were a whole lot more than four supports or reinforcements. They were spaced in way they could contain the weight of the grain between each band. And since this and other designs like it only use four supports, it is not at accurate depiction if they are on the outside. And with the living hinge creating all the vertical lines, it looks more like a metal silo.
