Next step is to lockpick your neighbors door while they're at work or vacation, sneak right in and clean their house for them, using your cleaning supplies, to show the utmost neighborly care.
Yeah and they can't forget to record it and upload it to social media to get more kindness points. 😊
I did this once while house-sitting for a friend, their place was horrifying
I wish my neighbor would do that! 😂
I wish my neighbour would do that too…
A woman in wetlake Ohio used to do that actually. She would break into people's homes and clean then leave them a bill with her name and number on it. She said did it all the time until she was charged with felony burglary.
"Let me just seal the dirt onto my neighbors solar lights permanently with some lacquer"
I swear, this new kind of ads...
I was thinking that, too. It's pollen season in Florida; if you don't clean off the neon yellow gunk first, no way will paint stick. 😊
Exactly! 😅
😆🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Pro tip: Dont spray your neighbors greenery. They're harder to replace than solar lights.
a little lacquer overspray isn't going to hurt the plants
^ exactly. But dog urine will definitely kill your plans. I don’t see anybody wiping down their plants after dogs use it as a WC.
@@cameronblack8043 maybe not for my own, but if I did it for a customer life's gonna fuck me. Lol
And it will hurt them, especially if it's a hard plant to grow in the first place. Don't paint your plants...
That would be my luck, I'd fix the lighting but destroy the flowers. Lol.😅
@@lynzki657 way she goes. Makin more work always sucks.
This is often limescale from rainwater. I take a damp kitchen towel soaked in vinegar and let it soak in...same effect!
Now vinegar I have!! I’ll try it😀
@@judithhileman-lj4ljGet some headlight coating spray and give the solar cells a small spray when you buy any new ones. 👍
Yeah go ahead and pour vinegar on metal. There won't be anything left 😂😂😂
@@whatsthechannelnamex Vinegar is a mild acid in a very diluted dose. It's fine to use on metal.
The downside to this is that it'll only last a few months, depending on the heat and humidity. And then you can never get it clear again, bo matter what you do. Further sprays of lacquer will just make it worse and permanently foggy at best. This lacquer trick has been known for years by people who have done it to sell cars quicker by spraying the headlights to make them appear new again....or at least temporarily 😂
Why is that? How come it’s only temporary? Also, how would you clean them properly?
@@JohnWick03 It's just the elements. Ultimately, all you're really doing is filling in all the little marrs and cracks with gloss, which is why it appears to be smooth and clean again. But since the chemical makeup of a headlight lens and gloss enamel are comprised of different molecules, they'll never actually bond into one covalent piece. So as humidity, heat, and the wind starts to have its effect on the gloss, it will start to detach itself from those little burrs and cracks. And I didn't even mention UV light, which turns all finishes yellow over time. The only real way to clean your lens is to hit it from the inside as well as the outside and never use fillers.
@@LeviBulger interesting, thank you very much.
Maybe so. But it will increase the usefull life of them. The thing to do is wetsand them with water and a fairly fine wet/dry sand paper first.

It's nice to see people doing good deeds for their peers
Yes. I pray this kindness grows into a new trend. "It's cool to be kind!"
It's awesome to see people making obvious comments without adding to the conversation too
Ask first. It dose not need to be without consent. And if he would not give consent then it should not be done. its kind to impose your will on others and make a for profit vid. he used them. i recent act of kindness I experienced yesterday was the the air-conditioner repair man arrived unannounced and the neighbor wanting to help them into my house tried all his keys on our door and omg one of his old keys to his old house fit our brand new dead bolt. And to be kind let ppl into our home when we are not home withut our consent. We have 2 indoor cats and the AC ppl dont know or care so they left the doors open. thankfully one of them was a lazy guy who just sat in the doorway picking his nose. that's probably why the cats didn't run out instantly. thank god the house keeper arrive a few min later she also dose not have the key and she was able to yell at ppl and secure the cats in the house and call us that somebody had opened the door and let these ppl in. I will say that we had called the AC guys but they said they were to busy and would call us to schedule a time. I do have security cameras and that's how I know what happened. It could have gone bad these ppl could have been thieves the cats could have got run over or lost. we got lucky this time no thanks to random kindness. basically if it not to save a life or stop a disaster stay out! if you see water poring out under my door yes please shut of the water and leave a note, if you see smoke call 911, if you hear screams for help please come in. the feeling of violated space far outweighs the thanks of have function lights. and btw the spay clear coat is short lived. Well have a great day I have said way too much I'm still heated about yesterday.
That would have been hilarious if the vermin cats got out! I bet the dude picking boogers wiped them on your door and walls! 😂😂
it's not trespassing if you're a welcomed guest, even if not specifically invited that particular time... it seems blatantly obvious that the neighbors are quite friendly with each other; ergo, there wasn't any trespassing
I use clear nail polish. Works great and doesn't yellow. 😊
I do too! I have my kids do it because it's "labor intensive".
How exactly? Do you clean them first?
Get some Meguiars headlight clear coat spray, it’s UV resistant and will last longer.
Is it made for cleaning cars headlights?
@@MrAsifhu82 Yes, it comes in a kit with an abrasive pad and the clear coat spray.
@@aaronpreston47

The uv blocking properties of the spray might prevent the solar panel from absorbing
What works even better is brake clean. It melts the nasty oxidized layer off and makes it clear as new. I accidentally found this out when I dropped a can at work and it hit on the nozzle and shot brake clean in the headlight lens of the vehicle I was working on. It looked horrible so I wiped both headlights with the brake clean to make them even. The customer loved having her headlights done “free” and tipped me, lolz.
But be extremely careful with break cleaner. Not even chemists use that for cleaning. Extremely toxic.
@@SahnigReingeloetetmechanics use cans of that a day.
Chemists: "We must use extreme caution with this substance, it could be lethal."
Mechanics: "IF IT WORKS, IT WORKS. NO QUESTIONS!"
Hydrazine is an amazing cleaning solution that also requires great care😅
@@Blitzkrieg_Wolf 99% of the time when mechanics use break cleaner, cleaning alcohol or benzine would‘ve done the trick as well. People are just lazy and are not aware of how dangerous this stuff is (it leeches through gloves and skin and gives you cancer).
The cause of the problem is plastic oxidizing from exposure to temp cycles and constant UV.
Whatever coating, if any, the manufacturer uses has worn out.
As the surface gets literally beat up by uv and the environment, on a very small scale it begins to break apart leaving very small pieces of itself on the surface. This frequently feels like a powder. It obstructs the light transmission and causes it to start to look opaque.
On a microscopic level, the surface has went from being very smooth to rough.
In order to actually repair the problem you have to make the surface smooth again. Putting a clear coat on top will do this to a certain degree as it will fill in all the micro cracks and crevices.
However the true repair would be to sand/polish/buff to repair the surface back to smooth.
However it will just oxidize again and repeat, so then you put a clear protection coat on top to make your work last longer.
So the correct answer is either sanding or spraying is only half the solution.
Spray without surface prep wont last, and surface prep without spray wont last.
Just like painting nails 💅. If you don't sand them first, the polish doesn't stick very long.
In other words do both.
Her plants died as they inhaled the fumes 😂

Maguire polish makes some great stuff for clear plastic such as headlights etc. It doesn't involve buffing or even alot of rubbing. Just wipe it on a few times back and forth they're new again
Was going to ask if this worked for headlights. Will look for Maguire. Thanks!
@BobbiGail maguire makes specific polish for headlights.. as long as they're just discolored it does amazing. If they're pitted the thing to do is wet sand them and spray them with 4k clear coat.. it's called maguire plastx
the comment I came in this section for thanks alot you guys 🤗
Can you buy Maquire at home depot or Lowes?
In a year that lacquer will be yellowing and peeling, and still hazey underneath. Then she'll have to just throw them away, good job.
Thx so much!! Been wondering how I would be able to clear all of mine. The ones that are still clear is the ones I left the clear film on them. ❤
The first thing you must do when you buy these outdoor solar light things is to dismantle and liberally spray the circuit board, battery connections, switches, solar panel etc with Q20/WD-40 or similar. They will last much much longer 👍

Yes, but under pressure from rains it will quickly turn yellow.. and haze up. Lacquer is not good for water.
I bet headlight defogger would work better. Try 3m advanced rubbing compound. It will make the plastic clear and look brand new again.
Just use acetone. The solvent in the lacquer is what actually did the cleaning, you don't need the lacquer.
