- The Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge connects Brooklyn and Staten Island, providing some great views of the scenery below. The three bus routes that use this bridge are the S53, S79-SBS, & the S93 Limited. While on the way to meet up with my cousins in Staten Island, I rode the S79-SBS one stop from 92 St/Fort Hamilton Pkwy to Narrows Rd N/Fingerboard Rd.
Onboard a 2019 NovaBus LFS #8603 on the S79 +Select Bus Service from 92 St/Fort Hamilton Pkwy in Brooklyn to Narrows Rd N/Fingerboard Rd in Staten Island via the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge.

Jackie Gleason bus depot should get these busses
There’s usually a lot of people on the bus
They really need to consider using articulated busses, I feel so bad for SI Commuters.
@@42luke93they can’t. Staten Island as a whole has very sharp turns arctics can’t do

Oh wow never had thought of that. Was this the official reason by any chance?
If anything use high floor buses again for more floor room.
They can't go faster than 40 mph. So it goes 5 Under speed limit which is not too bad.
