- A 4K Toronto TTC subway station tour, and ride from St Clair West Station to Eglinton West Station (soon to be Cedarvale Station in 2020). This video starts out at the intersection of Bathurst St and St Clair Ave as a streetcar passes by. I then head down into St Clair West Station checking out the bus and streetcar platform. From there it's down to the line 1 northbound subway platform where I board the train to Eglinton West Station. At Eglinton I leave and make my way over to the 32 bus on Eglinton Avenue. Masks or cloth face covers are mandatory on the TTC due to the Coronavirus / Covid-19 pandemic. Recorded on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at 5:57 pm.
0:01 - Intersection of Bathurst and St Clair West
3:41 - Entering St Clair West Station (south entrance)
5:40 - Bus & Streetcar Platform
11:43 - Heath Street entrance (inside)
13:30 - Boarding the northbound line 1 train
17:59 - Arriving at Eglinton West Station
22:26 - Exiting the station
25:55 - Arriving at the temporary bus stop & boarding the 32 bus (eastbound)
Recorded with a DJI Osmo Pocket in 4K at 60 FPS.

love the shot at 11:18 of the subway tracks.
Thank you for the station tour. I still like the way how transit is set up in Toronto with the Subway, Bus, and Streetcar hub.🚇🚇🚇🚌🚌🚌🚋🚋🚋
Thanks Johnny! 👍
Thank you for sharing all these great videos. I really enjoyed seeing the metro station, cheers from Oregon!
You're very welcome! I'd love to visit your state some time.
15:36, thats not how your supposed to sit but who I am to judge, it's 2021.
LOOOL!!!😂😂😂
When I was in Toronto would often used St Clair West Station.I wanna back to Toronto😫
I hope you can come back!
Johnny Strides Thanks Johnny☺️
It's been years since I rode a TTC streetcar. These ones are so quiet! I'm use to clang-clang- clunk-clunk when they pass a intersection. :)
Great Video. See it's areas like St.Clair ave/Bathurst, Yonge/st clair along w Yonge/eglington that make Toronto unique to any other city in NA. You can be 3 miles from Downtown and you're still like in a Downtown setting.
There's a lot of great urban neighbourhoods away from the core that's for sure!
then you definitely haven't seen new york. brooklyn and queens both have their own urbanized downtown cores with manhattan having several
@@Skyfoogle Sorry, but I have been to all those places. From Park Slope to Bensonhurst and to West Village. They just didn't impress me. They are more neighborhood types of areas rather than mini Downtowns. Unfortunately, NYC has gone to crap. Therefore, Toronto is now the premier big city in North America.
@@josefmuglia6524 meh. toronto has a lot of glitz and glass condos but it still cant hold a candle to new yorks architecture, urban sprawl, culture, transit infrastructure and history.
@@Skyfoogle When it comes to culture, yes, no other North America city can match it. Lincoln Center complex or museums, but it's infrastructure is crumbling. Did you know the NYC subway is using a signaling system from 1935. The subway tunnels need to be completely rebuilt.
Thanks for another great video! Congrats on all your new subscribers!
Thank you!!! :)
Excellent Toronto subway tour nice good 👍💕
Thank you, I tried! :)
I watched your toronto nightwalk video for like half hour. It was like GTA walk. Great video it was. I will complete it today
Thank you! 👍
That’s a nice tunnel lol
Thanks Johnny again for another great video. Reminds me when I use to take the bus and train to go downtown while I was in college 2 years ago... haven’t been on the bus and train since the pandemic started.
Well hopefully it will clear up soon and you can experience that again :) You're very welcome and thanks for watching!
Thanks Johnny!💙
Excellent job my friend! Have a nice day!
Thanks and you too!
Excellent video. I love the multimodal tours of the subway stations. I'm amazed how many pay phones still exist in the stations. They are long gone in most US stations that I encounter.
To my understanding, the payphones are still kept there for "just in case" purposes. I haven't really seen anyone use them, but they are functional phones that will connect you to 911, do call collect, and access operator services. It's usually in case your mobile phone dies, at least you can use something to call. But, I've seen most people just quickly plugin their phones with their charger on the outlets instead.... To the dismay of the TTC, since they didn't want people plugging in to those outlets. As long as you don't loiter around, they don't care much.
I believe as zeighy pointed out they're really just there for emergency backup? Although I don't know why we need so many of them.
holy crap i love ur camera
Congrats on 11k! You've started growing quicker
Thank you! Yes, there was a nice little surge over the past week. I think it will settle down a bit but it's still nice to be growing!
Nice Station Tour, Can you do a station Tour of Wilson and Sheppard West Formerly
Downsview Station?
I am trying to make my way around to all of them eventually. Those will for sure be on the way!
Hi,
I am Adv. Thorat from Mumbait, India. Very delighted to see your video of 30th July, 200 St. Clair (w).
Last July I was there in Toronto. My daughter stays at 510, Rise, St. Clair west. At the very beginning of the video her building could be seen. Thanks for your video.
You're very welcome! 👍
Can I use some of this for my indie music video?
Lovely video.... The train is similar to that of the Dubai metro here, though different in some designs and colors.. Also the inside bus looks like the buses here in Dubai.... Only that the first 3 or 4 sets of sits in the front are for women & children... While the rest sits behind are for men and also women and families.
Like the views. Thanks Johnny!
That's neat! I know in Japan they often have women only cars.. it's a good concept if it makes people feel safer. Thanks for watching! 👍
Beautiful tour I really appreciate these vlogs Johnny🥰 thank God for technology 🙌 I can see your beautiful country before I arrive 💞 I have two questions (1) are the train, bus and streetcar the same price? How many people the train can hold? I find they are pretty long 🤔 thanks for sharing and continue showing these wonderful vlogs 🥰
1) As long as you are within Toronto yes they are! As for capacity, I'm not sure but it's a lot of people on both (providing there's no pandemic). You have a 2 hour transfer window once you're on to transfer from one to the other without paying an extra fare :)
@@JohnnyStrides ok understand 👍
have you done wilson and yorkdale station lately and yorkdale shopping centre
I will be making my way up the stations on that line at some point in the near future. I was saving Yorkdale mall for winter (when I need excuses to film indoors). Cheers!
I really in joy your videos, I feel like I am still living in Toronto. You wrote that you take videos wherever else in the world you find yourself. Do you ever show those videos and have you taken any in NYC
Thank you! So far I've recorded in Korea, Taiwan, Cambodia and Thailand. I was hoping to get to NYC this summer but because of the Coronavirus that hasn't happened. I'll for sure go there when I get the chance!

Very interesting, will you be showing any of those videos soon. I've been to New York City many times and New Jersey along the Hudson River, I just love it. If I could I would go every year. Will maybe next year.
I remember old days when we were having licensure review ,we used ride on a train a lot. It's kinda annoying cause people will keep on pushing you to the center even if it doesn't have space anymore. Hope it's not like that there😩
Thankfully it's not that bad although during rush hour when it's a tight squeeze sometimes you feel an elbow or push :(
Good subway
Thank you!
👌🌸
👍👍👍
I grew up in the Eglinton West area before the 'Davis Ditch' and Allen Expressway severely impacted my neighbourhood. No fan of 60's city planning.
Let's be grateful the Spadina expressway was never built!
@@JohnnyStrides The section from 401 to Eglinton was bad enough!

How are you
Great and you?
Great video. I love the people who are wearing the masks UNDER their noses, defeating the purpose. SMH 🤦♂️
I highlighted that in one of my earlier videos as one of my biggest pet peeves throughout this. There was a video going virual of a guy yelling at another customer at a Pizza Pizza for not wearing a mask... and the angry guy was wearing his UNDER his nose *facepalm*
