Hi everyone! We hope you enjoy the start to our new Algonquin trip series! Day two’s campsite stay was inspired by Park Ranger Jason Lorbetskie’s great blog post about it over on Ontario Parks’ website, and we’re also looking forward to sharing our favourite lake in the entire park coming up really soon in day three of the trip, which we’ve been enjoying for years but never captured on film until more recently in this series. Btw, for those who are looking for the 4K version of the video, it should be finished encoding on RUclips’s end any moment now, though the 1080p version’s good to go now if you’d like to enjoy that. As always, thanks so much for watching, as well as all your comments, likes, shares, and if you haven’t already, subscribing to help support our channel - we really appreciate it, and we look forward to sharing day 3 of the trip soon! -Chris, Julia & Cedar :)
Hi, I loved the intro and song on this one. You girls always make me want to camp. Thanks for sharing your peaceful adventures. Hope Cedar is doing well. Jacky
from COVID lockdown here in Australia 2020 I would love to visit and escape into your wilderness. One question what was it you ate with the marshmallow?
These are some of the most beautiful and inspiring adventure films on RUclips. A really wonderful resource for a housebound British paddler during lock-down. Thank you so much for posting these delightful films.
Ok,so this is the fourth time I've watched this groups of videos, and I still live it 💙 This was the first video of yours I came across, and I fell under the spell of how much you love Algonquin! I hope you're able to share another canoe trip with Julia soon, love the dynamic you guys have!
Your music is beautiful. I cannot but help thinking that you two are going to make AWESOME parents. When I watch your videos here, I am always on the verge of tears. Good tears. Randy
Your videos are better than any meditation app. Edits off the hook, cinematography beyond compare, and content that is pure bliss. THANK YOU for sharing your life with us.
Although I realize that these videos were shot a few years ago, the quality continues to get better and better. Very impressive ladies. Thank you for sharing with us.
I just watched this series again. Nancy and I did a lot of trips to Algonquin, but our trip along this route was one of our best! Thanks for the memories, Chris!
I haven't been in a canoe in forty+ years. This old grandma felt as if I was right there with you... enjoying the quiet serenity of your trip. Thank you so much for sharing your adventure! I found you via You Tube suggestions. Look forward to checking out your channel further!
@@splintercat1 Matthew Posa, Chris Prouse, Nattie Up North, Joe Robinet, and TA Outdoors. My favorite channels that'll keep you entertained on the outdoors for a LONG time. :)
A good start to the day to watch your happy camping trip. Set the mood for the day! :) Beautiful scenery, filmed and edited in top class as always. Absolutely a joy to watch! Noone can enjoy coffee and a marshmallow cookie as Juia! LOL Thanx for sharing, you guys are my favorite couple out and about!
Beautiful and relaxing video. Your cinematography keeps getting better and better! And congratulations to Julia! I hope to do this trip or similar this fall so will keep watching...
I grew up in that park and the surrounding areas. I live in BC now, and while it is beautiful here, it is definitely different. There is something about the places that you grow up in, that calls to you. Thank you for bringing on a certain kind of homesickness... it isnt a bad thing.
coolcanoechic same here , I’ve been watching a Joe and Doug for some years now but like to explore more , this was a great look at Algonquin through different eyes . Great stuff ladies btw
Yet again a great video with some stunning and breathtaking views. Feeling totally relaxed!! Such a beautiful place and you capture it perfectly, thank you.
Love your videos and Algonquin Park! My first trip there was in 1965. Our family camped at Kearney Lake. I have the same 15 ft. canvass/cedar canoe made by Langford in about 1961 that I paddled as a kid!. It weighs quite a lot and I want to lift it as smoothly as you do! Prospector hull with keel. Woodwork is exquisite with cedar, cherry and others.
The production quality, cinematics, and post production are of the highest caliber. Love watching your videos and seeing where you've taken your channel over the years. Keep exploring!
This gave me a small fix for the outdoors as I am DYING to get out on another trip. Hoping for a short outing next weekend!! Amazing filming and editing as always Chris! Eagerly awaiting the next part! Cheers :)
Thanks Alexis! I'm not sure if you caught my last reply, but if you're interested, I'd be up for exchanging featured channel spots on our channels - just let me know. Cheers :)
@@ChrisProuse Absolutely! I am honoured you'd like to do so! I actually didn't even know that was a thing but I just found it on my channel. So I'll be sure to add yours! Thank you!! And I didn't catch that on your last reply lol, forgive my lack of observation Haha.
Woah beautiful Watching your video almost makes me relive my trip there last July. Went for my 30th birthday and it did not disappoint. Best gift i recurve was my dog making his first canoe trip.

Holy crap. Just discovered your channel from watching your latest vid with Joe!! The quality of your videos is insane!! Going to binge the channel now haha.
Love, love, love your videos as always. OMG. That part 8:30 in early September was a disaster portage. One of our canoes had three people and gear and the water levels were so low that we had to find an alternative way to portage.
Julia - reluctantly epic lol. Proceeds to crush devil's staircase. That's quite an awesome site, glad you referenced Lorbetskie's post (I'm hoping to find it as well on that lake). Great to see your videos again, high quality as always! Looking forward to the next one.
I must say, the capture is flawless and the editing is spot-on. Love it! The nature there in Canada is so similiar to Sweden. Feel right at home! Really enjoyed your video, and thanks for taking us along the journey. Thumbs up from Sweden
This is my first video I’m watching of yours and I cannot applaud you enough with the editing and filming quality. Great use of music with just enough natural sounds and very punchy. I’m gonna have to take some notes out of your book and apply them to my vids. Subbed and keep it up!
